Description of Work: Called because PC was shutting down randomly. Was diagnosed on the phone as being an overheating problem. Technician reseated the CPU with thermal paste. Twenty minutes later the PC shut down. Recommendation was to buy a new PC. I wound up taking the side cover off the tower and pointing a fan at it, which completely solved the problem, I subsequently installed a fan on the cover which also worked fine. Service provider was of no use.

Description of Work: Fixed our computer and set up a security system. He eliminated all viruses and recommended good computers should we decide to upgrade.

Description of Work: We needed a lot of advice and help on a number of random computer issues, including recommendations on future hardware purchases. James was on time for our in-home appointment, very polite and helpful, and thoroughly professional. He fixed a number of nagging problems we had, and explained clearly to us how some items could be handled. Many of our questions were admittedly elementary, as we are not very computer savvy, but his answers were clear and without condescension, which in our experience is often the problem with computer experts. Of note, he did not try to sell us on any hardware, even though his company apparently does provide that service. The only complaint I'd have with this company is that its website is -- surprisingly for a computer company -- not very consumer friendly, or even functional, as it was impossible to book our appointment via its on-line scheduling option, but this was not a big issue as scheduling via phone call was relatively prompt and easy. We plan on using them again.

Description of Work: These guys are the best geeks ever! My laptop keeps dying and of course my bad....maybe I should clean it more often. But it's back in tip top shape and I thank these guys for that!!!

I had a hard drive replaced and the system I had was Windows 7 professional 64 bit .They it with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. When called they stated that in there experience this was a more stable platform. Not being a computer professional I guess I have to take them at there word. A telephone call or email prior to install and an explanation would have been appreciated. Description of Work: I was experiencing increasingly very very slow internet access and surfing, and I thought it was my network card because it was intermittent, so I purchased 2 hours. On the Fly spoke with me in advance to discuss my concerns. Tom removed spyware and programs from my start-up. He felt the reason for slow was McAfee (which I personally like for email filtering and "safe search") and I had several bad sectors. However, I decided the performance was much better and I only used up 1 hour of my time, thinking I would replace the hard drive- which I ended up not doing because my performance was SO MUCH BETTER! Another time, I will purchase 1 hour just to jazz up the speed, or, if I do purchase 2 hours I will ensure I use all my time to ask more questions and review other nagging areas.

Description of Work: He got rid of Norton and put a bunch of "free" programs on instead. The new programs are driving me crazy. I am getting more junk on the computer and I have had to get other programs on my own to fix it. I am much worse off than I was before. I was particularly annoyed that I had just paid for Norton and then had to pay for his free programs. I suspect he gets a nice cut from the free ones when they make me pay when I am stranded. I do not think he have me virus protection because I am all fouled up now.

Description of Work: After some initial scheduling difficulties, the technician came and addressed all my concerns. Unfortunately, after his visit I started to encounter problems with my computer running slow. It was not a major problem, but it became sufficiently annoying that I contacted them in March with my concern. We eventually connected in April when I was advised that the 30 day warranty period had expired, and I would have to pay to remedy this issue. Perhaps I should have been aware of this 30 day limit, but I wasn't, so the problem persists. The person with whom I spoke at the company was very pleasant, but said there was nothing he could do to help me without incurring an additional fee.
