Joey arrived on time and delt with a difficult situation where the hot water came on before the cold. After removing the cartridge he found the brass valve was chipped and also a piece of plastic from a former cartridge was lodged inside. He reversed the cartridge and despite the previous fouling it works! Joey is very personable and allowed me to follow his work in the bathroom during the operation. The price was reasonable so yes, we highly recommend Total Mechanical. Thanks Joey, Brian & Laurie

The plumber Joey was a delight. He arrived exactly on time. Pleasant houseguest, cleaned beyond the call of duty, fun conversationalist, and the work (bathroom faucet replacement) was done well, in about an hour. I also appreciated Bob on the phone scheduling the appointment. He called within a minute of my submitting a request for quotes online. Only one other company responded, and rather than give me an answer (like, when, and $how much) there was this rigmarole about getting an estimate out to me tomorrow, and charging extra for any quarter hour past the first hour, and... Very unfriendly. In contrast, Bob at TMS was perfectly friendly and quoted me what I needed to know right then and there.

I gave 3 stars in regards to the value for the money question not because of the quality of work, but the price. I'm finding not with just TMS prices are astronomical, it's ridiculous charging 7 to 9 times the price of the parts used to be 2.5 to 3 times the price of the parts.

I am waiting to get an answer back. I was told the $99 few would be waived if I proceeded with the repairs and the plumber did the repairs and was still charged the $99 fee. Need an answer if I am getting refunded. Was charged $145.

Total Mechanical Systems went the extra mile. In one week they fixed my water heater and the igniter on my furnace. They were prompt and did exactly what they said. Their service techs are knowledgeable, and when the tech who came to my house couldn't diagnose the problem, he called in a more seasoned tech. They both worked on it for some time but only charged me the $99 diagnostic fee. Well done!

Both technicians were very friendly & nice but not very knowledgeable about mobile homes as the 1st technician couldn't find the main valve that turns on the water from the street. I showed him where the valve into the home was but I didn't know what the metal pipe next to it was. I was still charged a $99 diagnostic fee even though he didn't diagnose anything. When I made the appointment, the manager never told me about the fee. So I called back to say I found out that the main valve was right next to the pipe that the tech looked at so would the fee go towards the cost of the work & he said only if it was over $500 but the manager would send out his best technician to find & fix the problem because the 1st one wasn't very familiar with mobile homes. I told him it was a mobile home when I made the initial appointment yet he sent someone who's not experienced in mobile homes. A 2nd technician that came out to do the work, completed the job, but also said he didn't have much experience with mobile homes either. After the pipe was repaired & water turned back on, we found 2 leaks inside so he gave me a quote for both leaky faucet/pipe issues under both sinks. The price was very high so he explained that 1 of them was a big job with an expensive part. I decided to get a second opinion with a different plumbing company & I'm extremely glad I did. The other plumber completed both fixes in about 45 minutes & the total parts plus labor cost $354 less than the quote from TMS (also what was actually wrong & their fixes were not the problems nor fixes that the TMS tech said they were).

Very responsive, followed-up with pressure issue, serviceman was friendly and polite but seemed a bit out of his ken in dealing with the city shut-off, on the pricey side but one pays for the services brought to bear by a large company vs. an independent repairman.

Nick was very courteous and helpful. We had a leaking kitchen faucet and he figured out the problem. We are now waiting for the parts to arrive to the leak can be resolved.

Jessie came over promptly and worked with me to thoroughly troubleshoot my issue as well as go over all of my options. As a new homeowner I appreciated the time he took to listen to my concerns and answer my questions.

Maybe I am not as knowledgeable about pricing, seemed a bit much, but it was worth it at least and I was VERY happy with the service and the technician who came. Never had such good water pressure in my kitchen in the 8 years I owned the house. I can say you will be happy with their service from what I have seen.

He was very prompt, courteous, and professional. He did the work quickly. However, due to terms and policies that he explained after the fact, I am in the exact same situation I was in before he came. So I am out the cost of the visit and no better off. That is the reason for the lower rating.
