Description of Work: Heartwood Resurfacing has not installed the kitchen yet, will do so beginning June 2. So far, all materials have been ordered, much attention has been paid to our choices and they have been very easy to keep in touch with. Finished product will be beautiful!

Description of Work: I emailed them and they responded a full month after my initial contact, by that time I had contracted (thank God) with another Contractor. I shudder to think how long they would have taken to do the job. They are supposed to be good, so if you contract with them, set a "drop dead" date and hold their feet to the fire, 'cause it's your money.

+ 3 moreWent well. Some additional cost for extras we added in during construction. 2 carpenters worked as a team, hardly talking to each other. Wasted no time, got here on time. Re- doing the kitchen is a mess. Would not advise people to do this unless they are ready to be displaced for days at a time from their kitchen. Kitchen totally unusable for the duration of construction BUT was well worth it in the end. Our kitchen was very dated, 25 years old and it looks great now.

Description of Work: Everything went pretty well until they incorrectly installed the imported glass backsplash tile. I saved for 2 years to be able to afford this tile. We referred them to the people who sold us the tile as we were told there were very specific installation instructions. We bought ALL the materials to be sure the correct types were used. I spoke with the project manager, the office staff and the installers. The morning the tile was being done, I spoke at length with the workers about the problems that could occur should they not do as suggested by the tile experts. Not only did they completely ruin the job, but then they blamed it on the tile... Universal Tile backed us up as well as 2 independent tile installers. Heartwood said we could pay to have it redone and IF they thought it looked better, they may reimburse some of the cost. Here I am 2 years later and the kitchen remodel of my dreams looks like it was done by a child. I am so disappointed that these people did not stand by their work and were rude and uncaring.

Our kitchen was completely transformed into a new space. We are delighted with this company and whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone who is considering a new kitchen.
Description of Work: Complete cabinet refacing with veneer, new cabinet doors, hardware. New drawers in our old cabinets. Reconfigured old cabinet with pull-out drawers. Built new cabinet with glass doors. Sub-contracted for granite countertops. New sink. Crown molding.
