Description of Work: Kurt replaced the wood rot around the garage doors. He also replaced the back boards on our deck steps and added additional support to the steps. He installed two storm doors. Kurt knows his stuff! If you ever watch the show "Holmes on Homes", well Kurt is Connecticut version of Holmes!

Description of Work: We live in a 1930's house on a small lake. It was in dire need of a paint job at the very least. However, after talking with some experts we decided that vinyl siding would be the most effective method. The first thing Kurt did was replaced rotted wood and built new support for the soffits so that the roof line looks very professional. Being a former "summer home", the house was not exactly level! Kurt and Bruce did a spectacular job. They ensured that every piece of siding was level and everything lined up beautifully. They finished well before the two week estimate. The attention to detail was outstanding. The big plus, and one we were not expecting, is that our old gutters were ugly and in a few cases never hung correctly. All new gutters were built on site and they not only look great but complete the job. I have to say once again that they did a spectacular job and I would recommend Buckland Home Contractor to everyone.

Description of Work: Kurt was able to correct water and ice problem that stemmed from a lack of gutters on a round roofline over a front porch. The area was hazardous in the winter as a result of melting snow dripping on the porch and steps, freezing leading to icy conditions. He hand fabricated beautiful copper gutters, creating the proper pitch for optimum drainage. The copper downspouts diverted the water away from the porch and steps eliminating the danger of icy conditions. He also corrected a problem on the back of the house that stemmed from one gutter draining a massive area of roof. He cast a new copper leader, running it in a manner that allowed more efficient drainage of the entire back roof. Kurt is able to think outside the box, formulation solutions to problems that are not only creative but are in keeping with the asthetic appeal of the structure. He takes pride not only in his product but in the worksite as well. The area was tidy every evening at the conclusion of work. A craftsman who cares about the entire scope of the job!

Description of Work: Kurt replaced old copper gutters with new. All work was accomplished on schedule and per the estimate. The one or two unanticipated findings were discussed in detail and we arrived at an agreed cost effective solution. Kurt does all the work himself, cleans up every day and is a pleasure to have working on your house. No complaints and Kurt will be my first choice the next time I need gutters replaced or replacement windows installed.
