Kurt is an excellent carpenter who used high quality materials. There were a few other problems that he brought to my attention and asked me if I would like him to fix them. I was happy he saw these problems and was willing to fix them for me. He is a true professional who takes pride in the work he does. I would hire Kurt again for any carpentry job I have in the future and would recommend him highly.

Kurt was easy to contact, worked quickly and cleanly, and completed the job within a couple of weeks of us first contacting him. We thought so highly of the work he did on the outside of the house that we hired him for a small additional project on the inside. We will definitely keep him in mind for future projects.

Everything was great. Kurt came when he said he would and kept at it until he was done. Communication was very good and his pricing was reasonable. He always let me know what he was doing and presented options clearly. I really couldn't ask for more.

From the first encounter to the last, totally professional, conscientious and capable. The job took approximately 2 days. Obviously he has a lot of experience with this type of damage; he assessed the extent of the problem and explained that we were looking at more that the $250 I had paid on Angie's List. I fully expected this, and was not surprised to hear that it would cost approximately $1100, the damage was bad. (unfortunately I did not take pictures, I believe Kurt has them though, the bees had been burrowing for well over 10 years.) I own several properties and have had extensive dealings with construction professionals across a wide spectrum of skills on new and not so new buildings. Sadly I am well acquainted with rot and insect issues. I have learned the hard way that restoration work is a special skill beyond the reach of many carpenters--Kurt's work is first rate. The quality of the job accompanied by professionalism and a commitment to stay with the job until it is done make him by far the best contractor I have hired. I was nervous about hiring someone for so small a job, so was pleasantly surprised by how quickly he got to it. I would absolutely hire him again!

Kurt's work was meticulous. The work was performed exactly to specifications, and when I was not home, he even sent me photos of the work he had done. Very reasonable for the quality of work.

Kurt did a great job with the repairs and replacements. He was very professional in terms of communication and returning calls and was able to fit in my job sooner than expected which was great because of the issues involved. He was neat , knowledgeable and worked quickly and efficiently. I would recommend him and would use him again if the occasion arises.

The owner, Kurt Bucholz showed up exactly on time to perform the work. He did an excellent job of installing the gutter, downspout, and a small diversion plate to capture the water in the corner. He custom cut the pieces to fit perfectly in the space. He completed the job in just 1.25 hours and I am completely satisfied with his work. He cleaned up after the job and left the area spotless. He is highly professional, very competent, and extremely reasonable in his prices.

He di not return calls or text in a timely told me he would go check the house 3 times and finally after calling him back this morning he went to the house around 200pm and then called and said he could not do a job over 24 ft. . His job is putting in gutter. Whats wrong with this man Kurt Buchoiz Buckland Home Contractor and Gutter repair and replacement. This order was placed on Angies List on May 6th and today he finally got to go to the house. TERRY Dutkiewicz

Kurt takes his work very seriously and wants to complete the job to both his and your standards. His communication is very good as he kept us informed of all services and if additional situations arose, he explained everything very clearly. He was reliable and completed the job within the time-frame he initially gave us. We had several companies at the house before we went with Buckland Home Contractors and feel confident we made the right decision. I would not hesitate to use them again.

He replaced my old gutters and repaired damaged parts of roof with superior product. I am very pleased with his work. Would use him again, anytime.

Kurt was very professional and made sure I understood all aspects of the job. He made sure I was educated in the variety of products that I could choose from and steered me in the direction of the best quality product in my price range. Kurt provided me a detailed estimate along with a reasonable time frame for completion of the job that worked with my needs. He informed me of any needed changes so that there were no surprises. He was careful to cover wood floors inside the house while he ripped out the old windows. He began the job when he said he would and completed it on time, making sure that the area was cleaned and free from debris each night. Due to improper installation of additional newer windows in my home, we discovered window sill rot where moisture was getting in. Kurt removed those windows, rebuilt frames, reinsulated and reinstalled windows. Kurt was extremely courteous and fair, as well as a talented craftsman who I would highly recommend.

Kurt was extremely professional throughout every stage of the estimate, proposal and completion of the attic storage addition. He listened to what I needed, offered helpful suggestions, and provided me with a detailed estimate in a timely fashion. Once he began he kept me updated on progress and was finished by our agreed upon completion date. He made sure that our living space was clean and free of debris/tools every night. I now have a beautiful 10 x 12 attic storage area with pull-down stairs for convenient access.

I live in DC and the house was an investment property in Bristol, CT. I was able to explain the situation to Kurt over the phone, he was knowledgeable friendly and understood what I needed done, since I was out of town. He surveyed the property, came up with a plan, told me his plan, and executed it. I was happy with the timeliness, price and his willingness to work with me over the phone. Looking forward to meeting him in person the next time.
