"Fantastic company, highly recommended! I had a garage in an 80+ year old home turned into a finished game room / home gym, including sliding glass door and closet for storage. Highly competent from the framing down to the last details of trim work, it was all very well executed. There were a number of utilities in the space requiring access post remodel. The design was well thought out and aesthetically pleasing to the point they look like design features! The rest blends seamlessly into the space. The sliding glass door that replaced the garage door looks like it was there from the beginning, and the exterior trim blends perfectly with the house, with the added benefit of being waterproof. The communication was great all the way through the project, from start to finish. I would absolutely use them for any future remodel!"

"We have had a Capital Oven with intermittent igniter issues for the past several months and called over to see if they can help get it back to working order before the Holiday cooking season. Your garbage disposal will only affect the health of your septic tank if you’re using it too frequently, or filling it with organic waste that doesn’t fully break down. If the tank fills up with too many solids, the bacteria won’t have enough time to consume it before more is added, which can lead to an overflow in the drain field. The two main negatives of garbage disposals are they are a safety hazard in homes with children, and they frequently encounter blockage issues. While they might be annoying to fix and monitor, garbage disposals can significantly lower your trash use and are a great way to dispose of organic waste. While there are negatives, the vast majority of homeowners acknowledge the positives are enough to install a disposal in their home. 

Never put glass in the garbage disposal. It can damage your disposal or eject shards of glass out of the disposal and cause injury. If you get broken glass in your garbage disposal, turn it off and cut the power from the breaker, use a tool like pliers or tongs to remove the glass, and use a wet-dry vacuum to remove the remaining glass pieces. If you can’t access the disposal safely, call a garbage disposal repair pro.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

The most common garbage disposal size in the U.S. is 1/2 horsepower. This size is ideal for households with three or fewer people or those that don't produce much food waste. Although 1/2 horsepower can't handle the typical food waste load for a household of four (which is about 250 pounds of food waste annually) as effectively as 3/4 horsepower, it remains the most common size of garbage disposal on the market.
