Description of Work: I needed to cancel and this provider was very obliging.

Description of Work: Did an OK job replacing some rotted wood around my windows and Resetting slate stones on my front steps. Wood work was okay but not that much better than I might have done myself. The slate work was very good. But the sales/ project rep never seems to reply. He missed a couple appointments , I had to call the office to get them to come out and he is VERY bad at follow up. There are much better alternatives. Not going to use them any again.

Description of Work: They power washed my deck, made the necessary repairs and sealed it. It took a while due to the weather permitting and because it was busy. |Overall I thought the deal was a good one. Had I not seen it on Angie's list my deck would still be in bad shape. |Thank you

Description of Work: There is an irony to my response. Was the work done? Yes. Am I satisfied? Absolutely not. The workman installed the brackets I chose but due to a misunderstanding the brackets are hung in the exact way I did not want them to be hung. In order to fix the problem he would have needed at least two more hours at $75.00 an hour. I could not afford to do this. I am not happy.

Description of Work: They installed a screen door and patched a ceiling. Did nice job.

Description of Work: We did a bathroom remodel. They did a great job, finished on time and I will recommend Homeline to all my friends. The staff was cordial and were very professional as well as cleaning up every day. The project manager came to the job several times to made sure everything was going smoothly and up to their high standards. |We couldn't be more happy and would use them again when the next project comes along. |

Description of Work: Installed a chandlier amd mirror. Serviceman was pleasant and competent. would give him an A. Only problem was first appointment when they didn't show and when I called they explained that they had a family death and were closed the previous day. they were accommodating with reschedule.

Description of Work: Deck cleaning. restoration, and water seal. I can't believe how great it came out - we had never sealed the wood, so was pretty bad looking - very happy we had it done. The sealant is still a bit stinky, it is getting better with time. |Think they were swamped with customers on this Big Deal, and scheduling was less than fabulous: had me scheduled after a job in Westchester, I am in town of Fairfield. They did not know how big the first appt was until they got there, and then they had holiday traffic to tackle on the way to my house. Other than that quite pleased.

Description of Work: Assembled two sets of bunk beds. It took two men almost 7 hours to do it!

Description of Work: The handyman showed up on time , I showed him what needed to be done and he |got right to work with the leaking out door faucet ( acctualy replaced a new |one ),taking down the celling fan, fixing the deck.....,HE finished all the work within 2 and half hour. Everything was done professionally, I am very satisfied.

Description of Work: Home Line get in touch with me about 2-3 weeks after I purchased the package |I was just about to call them.The workers came to power wash the deck and used |too much bleach the next day the men came to apply the sealer after they applied the sealer the rails and a few spots on the floor were white I called Home Line and the men came back sanded and reapplied the sealer the deck looks much better however,when the men first came to apply I was told by Tina that the men would be to my house between 2-2:30PM they never |arrived until 3:30 PM no one from Home Line called I was just about to call |Home Line to cancel for that day when they arrived. I was told the scheduling was done by Shannon when I called I got Tina and ask to speak to |Shannon she was on the phone or busy and didn't get back to me, when I |finally complained things got much better I feel that all this shouldn't |have happened.I also think Angie's List needs to share in some of the blame |I think when you offer a special it should to be limited to a certain |number of people and than closed I think some of these contractors become |overwhelmed, in looking back the contractor may have truly tried to please |but just couldn't keep with the demand.

Description of Work: We contacted Homeline to remove snow from our roof and ice from our gutters. Their prices were pretty steep and the person on the phone expected it to be an all-day service, so after some bargaining we agreed (or so we thought) on $150 an hour with a $750 max. We assumed this would allow a max of 5 hours of work, understanding that it might not all get done. We were told the guys would come on 2/19. The day comes and nobody showed, nobody called. When we called we were told it was because of the weather, which is fine, but hey, why don't you just let us know you want to reschedule? The next day was bright and sunny, but still, nobody showed, nobody called. We should have seen this as a warning sign and canceled. The third day, 2 guys show up and get everything done in a little under 2 hours. I spoke with both of them while they were there and they showed me the trouble spots they worked on and even cleared the snow on our pathway (what fell off the roof). Excellent work, nice guys. A month later we get the invoice for $750. That's right, $750 for 2 hours of work. What?!? My husband calls and is told, "well, that's the price we agreed on." No, we agreed on $150 an hour with a max of $750, not a flat rate of $750 for any amount of time worked. Then the person changes his argument and tries to tell us that the guys were at our house for over 4 hours. Again, no, I was home while they worked and they were only there for 2 hours. Frustrated at getting called out on this lie, the person at Homeline tells us he never would have sent guys out for a 2 hour job all the way to Monroe. He proceeds to yell at my husband and tells him to just pay whatever he wants. Unbelievable. We can't help it if the job was smaller than you expected and/or your guys are more efficient than you think. We pay what we agreed upon, which is $300 ($150 per hour for 2 hours). | |So overall, it was a bad experience with Homeline. Stay away. They don't show/don't call when they say they will, their prices are steep, and they try to lie on their invoices. If you decide to use this company, I highly recommend you get a contract in writing before work starts and that you stay home while it's being done so you know exactly when they show up and when they leave. I wish we got something in writing beforehand, but thank god I was home while they did the work or we would have been paying $750 for a 2 hour job.

Description of Work: Repaired a wooden garage door panel whose plywood backing had rotted out. Also, removed a garage door not being used and laid new foundation (cinder blocks), put new dry wall and insulation, and placed new cedar siding on outside wall. Excellent work.
