Luckily, all the repairman had to do was to turn the cold water on. I was told the service call would be $79.95 and the repairman charged me $89.95 -- he corrected the amount when I complained. And I was charged $30.00 for 15 minutes labor. All the repairman had to do was turn the cold water on; there was no labor involved.

LARRY CHARGED ME OVER $100 TO TELL ME THEY COULDN'T FIX THE COOKTOP. The repairman came to the house, looked at the cooktop and told me he needed a part. He asked for my credit card # to order it. I gave it too him. I asked if there was a charge for the visit. He said, "No only if we get the part." Nothing happened. I called a week later and was told that they couldn't find the part. So, I called someone else. A month later I got a bill for over $100. When I can to question the charge, Larry told me belligerently that he charges over $100 whether he can fix the appliance or not. I tried to be fair and told him I would pay something for his time but that was too much to come and tell me he couldn't fix it. LARRY SAID THEY CHARGE WHETHER OR NOT THEY FIX THE APPLIANCE. I think Angie's list members should know that in advance.

Larry returned my call about a broken dishwasher and was very polite. He suggested a few diagnostics to try before he came out and had to charge me. I really appreciated Larry making suggestions with no charge which actually fixed my dish washer. I will definitely use Best Appliance Repair for any appliance repairs I need.

Service performed went very well. They were able to come that day, diagnose the problem, and perform the repair.

This is now the second time I've reached out to Larry [on two separate issues] and he's been great! The first time was a few months ago regarding a washing machine repair that my tenants required. Larry was very quick to respond and readily available to come out. The total cost was $250 and while this may not have been the cheapest option, it was really easy and convenient so I was very pleased. I called him this past Friday regarding an issue my tenants were having with the dishwasher. He was great and was able to diagnose the very simple issue over the phone - didn't even have to come out and didn't charge us! Will continue to use Larry and recommend him!

Very unhappy with this company. I described the problem of my oven over the phone and told them my circuit had recently tripped. they came to the house to repair the oven and all they needed to do was re-trip the electrical circuit and they charged me $195. I felt like he could have told me how to fix the problem over the phone.

Larry quickly answered the phone, diagnosed the problem and helped me resolve without requiring a service call. I never used Best Appliances Repair but will certainly call first if I have a need in the future

Fast, professional service. Rich came out the same day and was able to replace the broken part (relay) on the same visit.

Came when they said. Called in the morning and they gave me a 2 hour window the same day and showed up on time. Completely fixed everything which, for this sub zero, was a lot. Charged far less than someone else did years ago. They were nice, professional; just a pleasure to have in the house. Works like NEW! Thanks!!!!

Fortunately, I don't need to call repair services often. So I may be a little ignorant when working with them. I was shocked that it was $90 just to walk in the door and another $90 for the igniter kit. The latter I looked up the price on Amazon to find out it was $26 so a 330% mark up which I thought a little steep. They were in and out in 30 minutes so only another $40 for the technician's time which I thought was fair. Overall, high quality, efficient, and professional. Just the sticker shock to contend with.

Larry was excellent. Before coming out he did a little trouble shooting on the phone to make sure there wasn't an easily correctable problem (like settings for fridge and freezer) that might have caused our fridge to stop cooling. He was able to respond to our call within 2 hours, making time to stop by after a prior appointment. He did his best to locate the part we needed, but in the end it had to be ordered for pickup the following day. Arrived promptly the next day with the part and installed it quickly. Would highly recommend Larry for any major appliance repair in your home.

Phenomenal service. When I scheduled the service call with Best appliance, Larry instructed me to prepare for the service call by defrosting the refrigerator, which I did. I had no idea what the problem was, but Larry developed some possibilities during the call and informed me that his associate, Rich, would be handling the service call. Rich, arrived on time and was clearly professionally equipped to address just about any issue he might find with the unit. He was an absolute pleasure to talk to and got right to work on the issue. After finding and replacing the defective part, he showed it to me and explained what the part did, what to expect from the replacement, and how to make sure the problem didn't occur again. None of this additional expert "assistance", discussion and explanation, was added to the cost of the service which I found to be beyond reasonable - particularly since this was a weekend service call. I was so impressed with Rich's' ability to quickly fix, and clearly describe the issue, cause and preventative measures, I felt compelled to write this review after following up with Larry to express my absolute satisfaction two weeks after the service. I highly recommend best appliance.

Larry - returned my phone call in a reasonable time. Came out to my house that day. Diagnosed the problem. I had to defrost the freezer overnight in order to allow him to fix it. He came back the next day and finished the job. Price is reasonable. Timing was punctual. Service was excellent. I would recommend to anyone.

Our washing machine started leaking late Friday night. I called Larry and left a message. Larry called back within 10 minutes. Larry arrived early Saturday morning on time. He and his assistant worked to diagnose the problem and the price for the weekend service was fair and reasonable. Larry was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Best responded quickly - in a day rather than the several weeks offered by the factory-authorized repair provider - to get our refrigerator cooling again. Prompt, punctual, professional and courteous. Knew what the problem would be and came with the part needed & didn't have to call or go back for it. Repair was completed quickly and cleanly. Will definitely call Best again.

Very happy with the service and responsiveness. I had a timer/display unit on my Thermador range that was not working--you couldn't read the temperature on the display nor see the timer. Best App returned my calls immediately, came for a quick estimate, kept in touch with me, and found a replacement for unit that had been discontinued. Very positive experience.

Larry is a lifesaver. This is the second time I have had him repair an appliance. The first was my Maytag Dryer. That cost approx $125. I called him early this morning and he was here this morning. He is teaching an assistant "Rich" also a very nice guy. I have added Larry to my phone contacts for the future.

CALL LARRY NOW. I will certainly do so when I have other appliance problems in the future. He's responsive, professional, honest, and gets to the point quickly.

We had Larry come in to repair two items. The first was the oven which Larry repaired the first day. The gas stove required new parts so Larry had to return. They didn't send him all the required parts which meant he had to return a third time but he didn't charge for labor the third time. Can't ask for much more than that. I would definitely use him again.

roblem was I had an electrical short which fried a microwave and made the refrigerator not work. I called on a Thursday and didn't hear back. I called again Sunday night and left a message saying I was calling someone else. He called right back and arranged to come on noon Monday. He arrived on time and expressed concern that Samsung refirgerators were difficult, but he quickly determined that the problem was in the inverter board and it was probably just a blown fuse. I was surprised that he didn't have any fuses in his truck, but I went to radio shack that night and bought some ($4) and that fixed the problem. Since he was there, we asked him to look at the dishwasher, which hadn't been cleaning the top rack well for six months or so. I had previously taken it apart and cleaned it and replaced a part or two which seemed worn. He quickly saw that the chopper had fallen apart and a lock nut was missing and it needed to be replaced. The only issue I had was that he ordered the part from a local supplier instead of directly on the internet which would have gotten us the part in 48 hours. It was 8 days before he came back with the part and completed the repair, but now it works great. He also had a quick look at an icemaker which actually had no issues and the icemaker in the Samsung, which has a small drip in it. He had never worked on that type before and didn't seem interested in tackling it, but he gave me some ideas on what the problem probably was and I'm following up. So I'd recommended him for mechanical issues with American made appliances. Professional, friendly, reasonably priced and flexible about looking at multiple issues in one service call.

I wish more providers were as excellent as Best Appliance Repair. All went very well. After I explained the problem, Larry (the owner) gave me a firm quote before ordering the needed part. He called as soon as the part came in and set up an appointment for the following day. He had the courtesy to call when on his way (that?s so appreciated!) and he was punctual (much appreciated) which is a quality too often lacking for other companies. You won't waste an entire day waiting for a repair. He was, friendly, polite and professional. Best Appliance will be my go-to appliance repair service if needed in the future.

I Called the office 4 times and nobody has called me back. I called June 30, July 1, July 2 and July 3rd. I left two voice mails and I still have not received a call back. They seem to have good reviews, but answering the phone and returning calls is not one of them

Excellently, as always. I have used Larry numerous times, as have my parents, and he really knows his stuff, and is very honest. He can be counted on to do a good job, and to do the right thing. I trust him to take my keys and enter my home when I am not there, also.

What a wonderful man! Just called to set appointment up for my dryer that hadn't been working properly and he told me over the phone what the problem sounded like. Sure enough, he was correct!! Didn't want me to throw money away!!! Great service!
