Ericsen Contracting

I am very happy to write a review for Ericsen Contracting who just put a new roof on my barn and shop. We got 3 estimates for this job and Eric's was by far the lowest. But it should be noted that he used the same high quality materials and methods as the company that came in with an estimate of double the price! We were very pleased with the quality of the work and they were very pleasant to work with--cleaned up at the end of each day and left everything ship shape at the end of the job. I would use Ericsen Contracting again and highly recommend them.

It went very well. No problems. Went above and beyond.

My very old roof needed replacing as some water began coming in through a closet. Called several roofers, many never returned my call. Eric responded the same day and came out the very next day to check it out. After getting several estimates, I narrowed my choice to 2. This company took extra measures to try to solve my immediate problem and started just a few days later. They removed 2 layers of old roofing and installed the new roof, were done in the time stated and I couldn't be happier with the work and the responsiveness of the owner. The workers went above and beyond with minimal disruption. When the job was finished, clean up was outstanding and the finished product is really great. The new roof has already been tested with high winds and snow without incident! I would definitely recommend this company and am already planning a future project. Charlene

Eric will go above and beyond to be sure the work is first rate and you are satisfied with the job. He is honest and more concerned with doing a good job and keeping his customers happy than he is with making extra money. For this roofing job, he had to work around a Christmas holiday and daily rain forecasts. Eric planned each day?s work carefully to be sure any area of the roof stripped would be sealed before any rain came. Eric kept close tabs on his crew and personally got up on the roof to inspect all work daily to be sure his crew members were doing it right. All plants and structures in harms way were covered and protected before the job began. After cleanup, my yard was in better shape than when they started. I do a lot of work on my house myself and am particular about how things are done. It was a pleasure to watch these guys work; they were true craftsmen and did a spectacular job. This is the second time I have hired Eric. The first time was for sheetrock work. Both times he and his crew did a great job and were trustworthy, courteous, and accommodating; everyone was a pleasure to interact with. I would hire Ericsen again in a second. You need to schedule these guys in advance because, like many good contractors, they are in high demand.

Eric did a FABULOUS job. In addition he recommended someone to do the gutters that we needed to complete the job. This business was Economy Gutters. They too did a very good job, but will not review until it rains as I want to make sure the gutters are done right and pitched correctly. As for Ericson Construction... excellent. Thank you Eric!

Showed up on time, worked all day, cleaned up after. Workmanship and pride are commendable, price was fair for a big job. I would not hesitate to recommend and will hire for future jobs at my house. A+, no questions.

Eric does fast and great work. He is a pleasure to work with. This was the second job we have done with him and I will call him again in the future

Eric provided a complete estimate of the work he would do, the quality materials to be used and the cost of the work before we chose him. He and his crew adhered to his estimate and did a good job replacing our 18 year old roof, which included working around existing dormers. They worked hard and did a good job of cleaning up when they were done. My husband dealt with Eric and found him to be down to earth and someone who could be trusted. We highly recommend Eric and Ericsen Contracting.

Contractor was a good shingle installer, but had limited carpentry skills. Low spot in roof was to be corrected by sistering new rafters adjacent to low rafters to correct low spot and then install new plywood. Final inspection revealed that the low spot still remained. Contractor was carefull and professional with the roof shingle portion of the work, but the original low spot of approx 5 inches remains at about 3 inches.

Eric showed up when he said he would and stayed until work was completed. He worked with his helpers to make sure The work was done in a professional manner. When work was complete he cleaned the work site and left it as he found it.I would highly recommend if you want the job done right at a fair price.

Eric promptly came out to bid the job and followed up with a proposal. He was always accessible to answer questions before we signed the contract. They arrived to start the job as promised and completed the work in the expected time frame. The cleaned up the job site each day and were professional. Eric was on site every day supervising the work and installers which was nice. They addressed a few minor issues that came up to ensure that the work was done correctly and to both our liking. I would highly recommend them.

This is my endorsement for Ericsen Construction from a satisfied home owner.Eric is one of a rare breed of men and contractors that still take pride in their work and stand behind it 100%.I hired him to step into a botched up roofing mess created by a local roofing company.He and his crew ripped off two outside roofs down to the beams and completely redid the roofs properly finding the leak missed by the first contractor. He had to remove an inside ceiling to the beams and replace all wood ,lights, and sanded the beams of mold . The workmanship is top of the line in all respects.The crew was professional throughout removed all debris from the site completed the job on time.I recommend anyone needing work on their house to call this man you will not be disappointed.

Very well. The job took about 2 weeks under poor weather conditions - frequent snow events and cold temperatures. Owner pledged to return in spring to conduct final cleanup inspection. Eric kept me posted on progress and plan for work going forward via email and phone, very easy to deal with. His workers were diligent and professional.

Mr. Petersen responded promptly to my request for an estimate, and kept me informed of all of the details of the job. His estimate was professionally written and easily understood. This was to be a 2-day job, somewhat dependent upon the weather. He notified me of when he would begin, and finished within the expected time frame. When he finished, the yard was picked up and clean. I expect no problems, but if some were to occur, there is a workmanship guarantee. I would use his services again if needed, and recommend him to others.

Eric was one of the best contractors I have dealt with. He is responsive, professional, and really concerned about doing a good job. The work was done on a vacation home, and we weren't able to be there, so he gave us an email update every day as the job was done over 4 days. His price was very reasonable, and the work looks good.

Prior to going to Angie's list, I had spoken to a local roofer for assistance in the leak repair. He lost no time in telling me that I should have contacted a local roofer (him) before going to a local chain store. A bit frustrated, I went to Angie's list and decided to contact Ericson Contracting because the reviews that i read indicated to me that this company had the kind of expertise that I was looking for, Mr. Peterson visited my home within a day of my telephone call. I appreciated that Mr. Peterson had little to say about the mistake I might have made in hiring the wrong roofer. He immediately set about to ask questions where the leak could be coming from. Next, he climbed up on the roof to examine the roof, its pitches, and its runoff. We then went inside so he could see the ceiling stains and the wet boards. After doing some measurements, he did not try to sell me on a fix but told me that he needed to lift off the ridge board to look underneath to assess what the previous roofer had done, and what he thought he needed to do. What he saw convinced him that the problem was at the roof line where the 1st roofer had neglected to place the new shingles and the under-layment under the ridge board. Mr. Pedersen replaced the underlayment and shingles in the affected area and went the and quot;extra mileand quot; to inspected the adjacent area, and concluded that this area looked okay. The job is finished; the shingles under the ridge board blend perfectly. All I am waiting for now is a rainstorm to convince myself that all's well. I will amend this when I know. In summary, I appreciate the following about Mr. Pedersen. He impressed me with his understanding of roof problems. He could always be reached by his cell phone. He was professional and a pleasure to deal with. And yes, I would definitely hire him again. TC

Eric had replaced a roof for me while I was over seas. Since I was not able to see the work for several months I had to take his word for it being right. Upon return I was impressed and quite grateful. Eric did the job as promised, on time, on budget, and everything was perfect. He could have taken advantage of the situation but did not. Now I had to repair a leaky roof on a different home. Eric was the obvious choice. He again performed the work on time and on budget. I tried to take a short cut on the repair and he talked me into doing it right to prevent re-work. I cannot say enough how much I trust Eric to work on my homes and I highly recommend him for all contracting needs.

Work was completed on time with good cleanup. Because of prior commitments had to wait about 10 weeks for the work to start. Once started was completed in three days in spite of weather issues. After about 5 months, noticed a small issue and the contractor was there within 24 hours. Very pleased with the work and the price.

Eric was quick and responsive. When he gave me a quote back in July he was booked through December, and worked with me to get his man in to work on my attic on odd and rainy days, so it would be done sooner. Jessie, the guy who did the work was hardworking, professional and considerate. It was a tough job in tight quarters. He did a great job and was a pleasure to have around--entirely trustworthy and very responsive to my requests. In the end, the job looked beautiful and the price very reasonable. I would not hesitate to hire these guys again!

Awesome!!!!! Ericsen contracting was amazing to work with. Eric was very professional and listened to my needs and concerns. Eric was punctual on all aspects to include writing an estimate, delivering the proposal, putting on a new roof, and clean up. Very competitive pricing! I asked for a new roof, including new 3/4 inch plywood, water and ice barrier, top quality shingles, and gutter clean out. I was very satisfied with his workers, courteous and professional. They were committed on doing a good job and worked non stop until it was done. I highly recommend Ericsen contracting for your roofing needs, you won't be disappointed!

I always have a positive experience with Ericsen. It went well. He did an excellent job. He was professional, timely and I have been satisfied with the work. I have a new reason to bring him back to deal with the leak. He is very fair in his price. He doesn't compromise on his work. We didn't have any issue with the quality of his work or the outcome. He accepts what may have gone wrong with his work and makes sure that he corrects it in a timely fashion, promptly even if it means he himself is doing the work as opposed to one of his employees. He's very good at returning phone calls or e-mails. Ultimately, he wants to make sure that the customer is happy. I've used him probably like about three or four times. He's very good.

Eric Petersen submiitted one of the four bids we received on our roof job. He was punctual, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He answered all of our questions patiently and his bid was very competitive. He gave us a detailed proposal listing all materials and contingencies. He had several jobs already lined up, so he assigned us a start date two months ahead. He kept us informed of his schedule and hit the start date exactly. Eric works with one small crew and manages the job site himself. Our roof is a simple design with no eaves, but it posed some challenges. Layers of asphalt shingles covered the original layer of cedar shingles, which were laid over wood slats, Eric's crew had to strip the roof completely and then lay down plywood (and the moisture barrier) before nailing on the new shingles. Eric cut the plywood himsef to insure that the pieces joined properly with no gaps. The weather was wet that week but whenever rain started to fall the crew covered the exposed area with a tarp and waited out the storm, returning to work as soon as the rain let up. They cleaned up the worksite every day and left the grounds pristine at the end of the job. We have not found a single nail on the property since the job was completed. The new roof looks great!
