+ -1 moreThey came over right away, brought the right product, and they did the work well. I plan on using them again. The guy was very professional, knowledgeable, and he did not waste any time. He did a little extra work and he lubricated and adjusted the door as well.
Description of Work: I had noticed that my garage door was sluggish in going up and I determined that one of the springs had snapped. They replaced both springs on my garage door.

Description of Work: Exceptional service! Replaced the garage cables and tracks. Oiled the tracks. they were prompt . Did there work and left. I do think they were pricey. But maybe is the going rate for this kind of work. I paid the price because I had no alternative .

After discussing the situation on the phone (we wanted to replace the three 20 year old malfunctioning openers) and discussing options we settled on the desired unit, scope of work, and price point. Work was scheduled for the following week. The installer arrived at the scheduled time, completed the installation in several hours. The installer was professional and explained features and functions. All billing was handled seamlessly through the central office. We were very pleased with the service and price (as compared to a recent replacement at another family members house.) No hesitation in recommending this company.

Description of Work: Garage door spring broke at night, barely missing my head. door jammed. Family car trapped. Serious problem. Called AOD - Middletown, CT early next morning and heard the friendly, courteous voice of "Ellen". Repairs were scheduled for that afternoon when we were at home. We were afraid it might take longer to get an appointment. Repairman was on time, competent, efficient and neat. We certainly would use American Overhead Door of Middletown, CT again. Prompt call rtn and service, upgraded to battery back-up units, tuned up the doors/bearings/etc. Nice units for a great price - battery back up was great when we lost power in the Oct snowstorm - at least we could get back into the garage!
