They cleaned the aweful black and green mildew off the roof , house, and decks. This was done sort of remote control. The house we had cleaned is a rental we own out of state. Arrangements were all done over the phone. They did all they promised and the results were ter....rif........fic, like a new house!

Lousy workmanship on the house siding, deck and front porch. The crew was scheduled to arrive at 1 p.m. on 8/12. At 2 p.m., "No show." I called the company to inquire about their whereabouts, and was informed they were running late, but should arrive in 30 minutes. They arrived at 2:35 (over 1 1/2 hours late). I asked why they were so late, and was informed they were told just to arrive any time before 5 p.m.!! Note I had to call the company.... no one from the company called to let me know the crew would be late. When the crew announced they were done, I checked their work. I noticed that they left green algae and black spots on both the front porch and back deck/railings. I told them they missed some things, and without looking, the crew said, "Oh, we don't do that." I insisted they look at what I indicated, and then the crew agreed to attempt to remove it. They did a partial job, and then left. I then checked the back deck railings, and discovered they had only cleaned the top and sides of the railings, leaving a lot of "crud" on the underside the entire length of the deck! They also left green algae and those annoying black spots in several areas. The black spots also still remained on the house siding. I called the company owner, informed him of the lousy job his crew had done. He agreed to come to our home and review their work. He agreed it required a "Re-Do." But I was also informed that their cleaning procedure does not remove the black spots that build up on house siding and decks and porches...removal of the black spots, I was then told, requires power washing. This is contrary to what I was told when I initially spoke to the company. I was informed the Safe Roof Cleaning method was "Better than power washing." The Re-Do was done on 8/21. This time the crew arrived on time. But again, the crew started to leave without completing the job. I took a paper towel and wiped the green algae to show them what they missed. They finally completed the job, removing the green algae, and "crud" they had left behond the first time. The company owner was responsive, and offered a $100 credit. However, I would not hire this company again. They may do a good job on roofs, but their workmanship on house siding, porches and decks is unacceptable. When I next need my deck, porch and house siding cleaned, I will contract with a power washing company.

iJust had Safe Roof out to clean my roof and gutters yesterday. I have a Victorian with many gables so I was a little concerned with whether it would work and whether they would miss any spots. The job was done very well. I was skeptical, but they completely removed all the black streaks on the north facing sides of my roof gables - which is where the streaking usually occurs. The roof looks brand new. It is amazing. They also cleaned the black streaks off the gutters. The streaks were for the most part removed, but there are still certain stretches of the gutters where the streaks are faintly visible. Could just be that the gutters were stained for long it just couldn't be completely removed. Safe Roof did warn me during the quoting process that in some cases the gutter streaks couldn't be fully removed. It still looks 90% better than it did before though and was well worth it. The young guys who did the work were professional. They protected my plants well and I don't see any damage. They were polite, courteous and neat. Only minor complaint was the date I originally scheduled the service the guys came out to the house and they didn't have the harnesses they needed to clean my roof. So had to reschedule to the next week. That was an inconvenience. Other than that, all was good. I think the work is a little pricey, but look for coupons, including 5% off for mentioning Angie's list. I would definitely use them again.

They did an excellent job, were on time, & did exactly what they promised.

The price was slightly steep. It didn't take long to get the job done. They came back out a second time and tried to get rid of the rust stain on the shingles. They stated because the stainless steal cap was left off they were unable to remove the rust.

The Safe Roof Cleaning estimator came out and gave me an estimate right away after I contacted them, but it took a little while for them to get back to me to answer questions about the estimate. However, once I had talked to the estimator again, I scheduled the service and two men arrived right on time. They sprayed algae killer on the roof and then washed ti down with low pressure spray, then power washed the siding. The house looked great, but the roof looked miraculously brand new! I never really expected it would look that much better! Both of the workmen were friendly and professional and answered all my curious questions. They were careful to move my planters out of the way and replace them when they were finished. One of them even showed me his Cougar Paw boots when I asked him if he wasn't worried about sliding off the roof! :) I'd definitely recommend Safe Roof Cleaning, and will call them again when I need another cleaning. (The roof is guaranteed for five years!)

The house looked brand new after its cleaning. The job was done quickly and attention was paid to very moldy/mildew covered areas. The was no damage to plantings around the house. Works were friendly and considerate. The estimate was given shortly after I called and actual job was done quickly after the contract was agreed to. The cost seemed a little high, but may be the going rate (I don't have my house cleaned regularly).

Two very professional young men applied a cleaning solution to the entire roof. Using a low pressure rinse, algae and lichen were removed. The next step was an application of roof algae preventative solution which comes with a 5 year warrenty. I was very impressed with the people I spoke to at this company, from the office staff to the workers. They were all knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. I would definitely reccomend this company. They seemed very professional and good. They had a good explanation on their website of what their process was, which was nice. Their price was fairly reasonable and they got back to me fairly quickly. They showed up when they said they would.

They spend about 1 hour and cleaned up afterwards. Everything went very smoothly.

We have a 1500 Sq Ft ranch in Orange and had a lichen problem on the roof in the rear of the house. Safe Roof Cleaning showed up promptly for an estimate and were right on time for the job itself. The area treated was about half of the entire roof. They arrive in a relatively large truck, hook up a hose to your outside faucet (they do need access to a water supply), mix a biodegradable solution with water in a tank in the truck and start spraying. They sprayed the area with the solution/water mix to loosen the lichen and then use low pressure power washing so as not to damage the shingles during the rinsing. The work crew was professional in every way. The results of the cleaning were excellent. I would definitely use this company again, no question. I was also surprised that they traveled from Glastonbury to Orange for a relatively small job.

They used a gentle pressure washing with some chemicals to clean our roof. They were on time and came when they said they would. They did a good job and we are please with the results. It took them a few hours to complete the job, and they did not mess up the property during the course of completing the work.

It was OK, the moss and mold are gone and we could not have done this ourselves, Just do it right the first time, so i don't have to call back and complain.

Roof looks good as new. They did a great job. Applied the chemicals, and cleaned the roof. Courteous / Friendly workers. Showed up on time, and finished when they said.

Safe roof cleaning exceeded our highest hopes on all levels. Staff was very courteous and professional. Work was top notch. Roof literally looks brand new! Everyone who see’s it is shocked that it’s not a new roof. If you need roof cleaning do not hesitate to call! I would have paid 2 times as much for the service and still felt like I received a great deal!

Eleven years into the life of my 40 year roof, it began showing signs of growing algae, lichen and moss about two years ago. The manufacturer of the shingles denied any liability and their advice was to spray it with a 50/50 solution of bleach and water. This, along with light scrubbing, was effective on the lower parts that were reachable. Since the house is a two story cape with an attached two car garage, it was necessary to find a company that had the capability of accessing the entire roof. Safe Roof Cleaning is located approximately 35 miles from my home. Because of the distance, they did not view the job beforehand and provide a firm price but did provide a price range. The staff person I dealt with was very courteous and knowledgeable. The owner with a helper arrived at the agreed upon time. They sprayed the entire roof with a chemical that killed all of the growths. This was followed by a low pressure (150 psi maximum) powerwash that removed the growths. The final step was to coat the roof with a chemical retardant which should help keep the roof growth-free for 2-5 years although the organisms are airborne and the situation could reoccur. The results of the cleaning were instantaneous and the roof looks 100% better. Some roof granules were dislodged but this was unavoidable as I had to weigh the appearance of the roof plus the damage that allowing the growths to remain were causing. I was very satisfied with the results and with this company and I would not hesitate to recommend them.
