Description of Work: Tony and his team are the best. Installed Central Air. Didn't try to over sell things that I didn't require and did an outstanding job. I would recommend him in a heart beat. 2016 summer was above average and the system worked flawlessly.

Description of Work: Aquila installed our gas furnace quickly and professionally. When we were ready to go, the gas had not been hooked up. He arranged to have propane brought to the house and convinced the delivery person to hook it up immediately. The furnace is now hooked up to gas and is working marvelously. We found the company on Angie's list, and feel we were well rewarded for our taking the time to look.

Description of Work: I have used Aquila Heating and Cooling twice and will continue to use their services for annual furnace / AC maintenance and updating as needed. My first experience in the spring of 2014 was an unexpected breath of fresh air. My former HVAC provider offered a quote of $5,000+ with no alternative options to replace an exterior AC unit that was aged and no longer functioning. Having joined Angie's List I found Aquila was in my area and had great ratings. Tony offered 3 options to replace the unit. Choosing one, he arrived on time, worked outside in a rain / thunder storm, was incredibly reasonable and personable. The new unit worked perfectly. I called to schedule annual furnace maintenance in the fall. Again, the HVAC professional arrived on time, was personable, answered all my questions and left no debris. The annual maintenance fee is quite reasonable. Unquestionably, Aquila Heating and Cooling are the HVAC professionals I will call in the future. I highly recommend them!

The work started a bit later than we expected; however, once the work began, Tony had workers there everyday until the job was done. The workers were extremely neat (especially Nick). There were times when I got home from work and couldn't see any evidence that they were even there -- but I knew they were because I had new vents installed in the rooms. During the installation of the ductless unit, which had to be placed very high in a cathedral ceiling room, they accidentally put a scratch down the wall during the install. They left a note for us that it had happened. Tony said to just give him the estimate to repair it - there wasn't even a discussion. In the end, we were so happy with Tony's work, that we deducted just $100 from the final price just for the purchase of the paint/spackle and we painted the wall ourselves. My husband and I are very impressed with the quality of the work. We're so happy we chose Aquila Heating & Cooling to do the work -- we met with several others before selecting this company. We didn't go with the most inexpensive quote - we went with the person that seemed the most knowledgeable. Tony is very thorough and considers the best layout, so you get the most efficient cooling for your house. He's very much a perfectionist in his design and we couldn't be more pleased with the work. It's July right now and we have a nice cool house!
Description of Work: We had central air installed in our home (two condensers for the main house). Since our home had baseboard hot water heat, it entailed the installation of duct work. We also had a Fujitsu ductless system installed in an artist's studio over our garage.

From the first time Tony came to look at our house and discuss options for air conditioning, it was evident that he was an honest, hardworking guy who knew what he was doing. Though I knew a little about ductless air conditioning we were open to different possibibilities, though we knew that the layout, age and size of our home would present a challenge, regardless of the solution chosen. Tony confirmed to us that, in his opinion, the ductless systems were probably the easiest and most cost efficient option for us. It took a little longer (just an extra one or two weeks) to get all the equipment than we expected and Tony appropriately told me that he preferred not to start the job until he had all the equipment in hand. Once the work began, it was completed, quickly and neatly, and without any problem. The people who helped with the job were friendly and courteous and all seemed to know what they were doing. Tony had arranged for an electrician to do the required wiring, and from what I can tell, this work was also done well. It's only been a few weeks since the installation, but so far we are very happy with the products and the service received from Aquila Heating and Cooling. We have no reservations reccommending both the cooling solution we chose, as well as the excellent service from Tony Aquila.
Description of Work: Installation of ductless air conditioning throughout our somewhat older home. Since our home is older, limited in size and lacking an attack or other spaces in which central air conditioning might typically be installed, we decided to try the ductless air conditioning option. Tony Aquila laid out a plan with three compressors and five air conditioning heads in order to cool the entire house without having individual units in every single room. The work also included the electric wiring which was done by a licensed electrician hired on our behalf by Aquila Heating and Cooling.

The installation was generally good including tearing out areas for duct work and post-installation cleanup. The only thing that was a problem was that the installation was delayed by a couple weeks due to a death in Tony's immediate family, so we started about two weeks late and then I think we were a little out of sync with the various teams he had lined up for install (demolition, electrical, ductwork, air exchanger installation, etc.). In the end the work done and the system installed performed very well last year. I was particularly impressed with Tony's ability to analyze the unique layout of the home and come up with a solution that would be both functional, economical, and possible to install.

He is a sole proprietor who is working on his own which is what we wanted because we believed we would get more consistent work when its the owner doing the work. We wanted to know the person who would keep coming back to work on our house and not have a different person everytime.

Tony was very professional; he came within a day and gave me a quote for the unit and installation. The unit arrived earlier than estimated (less than two weeks), and was installed at my convenience. Tony pulled the appropriate permits and his crew did a very nice job.
