The kitchen was hardwood and the bedroom was fir. They did a great job. I was away on a vacation and when I came home it was a beautiful new floor.

Jeff was knowledgeable and responsive to our queries, and the end result looks great. The price was also very reasonable. There were a few small issues with the crew -- some detail work was not completed and we had to have Jeff correct it during the final walk through. To his credit he made it right with no hassles.

Despite my extensive use of reports and my being an avid user of Angie's List, I am frankly rarely compelled to write these reports unless there is merit for specific mention of a service (both positive and negative). My experience and dealings with Jeff though, definitely warranted me taking out the time to write something as he and his crew really do deserve special mention. Jeff and his team really stepped up to the plate and delivered beyond our expectations. We had a floor installed in the fall, right around the time that we were having some pretty heavy rainfall. The floor was installed by Jeff puctually, professionally and completely up to scratch. Unfortunately, a day (literally) after the floor was installed, we had the intense rainfall and ended up with flooding in our basement. We found ourselves having to replace half of our basement flooring as a result. Jeff completely came to the party and helped way beyond what I expected - He rejigged his entire schedule to try and get us into the queue as quickly as possible so that we could get our basement back up and running. He then went a step further and worked with us on the pricing and charged us only what his labor charge was on that portion of the floor that had to be re-installed. He came out to the house several times throughout the process to ensure a proper consultation, and kept us informed and up to date all the time. In all essence, this was one of the few times that I have felt my contractor was genuinely on my side and sincerely cared for my house and the job at hand as if it were his own.This to me was invaluable and provided tremendous peace of mind, and it is for this reason and the ones mentioned previously, that I would have no hesitation using Jeff again and would be completely confident in recommending him to my friends and family. So a heartfelt thank you to Jeff and his crew. In our time of need, he stepped up and worked with us to try and minimize the cost of the flooding, and sincerely bent over backwards to get our basement fixed and back to a liveable state as quickly as possible. Thanks Jeff and team, and I look forward to working with you all again!

The refinishing job was excellent. The installation, I would rate as good. The workers were very professional and polite. They showed up on time. The price was reasonable. As far as the installation went there were a couple of small trim details that I think they could have done a better job on, but overall the installation was a good job. They also did it very quickly and that was a big advantage.

Two guys showed up before I had completely emptied the rooms and removed all of the previous carpet lathing and nails. They quickly helped me finish emptying the rooms and then quickly removed the remaining lathing, nails and staples. They put up sheet plastic to prevent excess dust from going downstairs, and used a push sander that captured most of the dust (my biggest fear). There was very little dust to remove from mouldings when they were done. The first day they were able to complete sanding and put down the first coat of polyurethane, the second day they came back, finish sanded and applied a second coast, then one more time on the third day. I could not get over how lustrous and beautiful the floors looked. I had assumed from the gouges, water damage and paint spills that the floors would have to be pulled out and replaced. they saved me a ton of money. Six months later, and the floors are still gorgeous. I got a great price because business was slow at the time, but I would not hesitate to call them again.
