In Summation: Viglione is unapologetic, unprofessional, not puntual, and not polite. In Detail: Unfortunately my Boiler stopped working in late November. I have no heat and hot water at the time of this writing. I was referred to Viglione from another Heating Contractor that does not service my area of Connecticut. I called and explained that I had no heat or hot water and required an estimate for a replacement boiler. They explained that their earliest appointment was during the work week, four days later, Friday at 1pm. So, in order to accommodate their schedule, not mine, I take the day off from work to attend the appointment. At 1215pm, I receive a call. and quot;Hello, we need to cancel the appointment.and quot; No apology, no explanation, no reason given. They would have hung up the phone then and there if I hadn't asked what was going on. I let them know that this is not professional, and that they need to come out and honor the appointment, as I have taken a day off from work in order to meet with them. They suggest taking another day off from work on Monday or Tuesday to accommodate their schedule. Then he says he has other paying customers that do not have heat or hot water that require their assistance. When I ask him if he is aware that I also do not have heat or hot water, he say yes, he is aware. I explain that I belong to Angies List and that this will result in an accurate review of what just transpired. He remains unfazed and doesn't care. I ask him if there is anything available later today or over the weekend. He says no, the only way to do business with them is to make another appointment during the work week, and then maybe they can do the work in 2-3 weeks. Very frustrating. He offers to call their office and try to arrange something. At this point, they have lost the business. I have another contractor that came out for a competing bid, and they can get a bid back to me this afternoon, with installation beginning as early as Monday of next week.

Repairman was very professional. Explained clearly what hr found and what he did to repair the problem. Was very good with my dog Molly. Even gave her a treat!

Dominic from Viglione was just terrific from start to finish: checking out and cleaning our HVAC systems (and replacing what needed replacement), showing us the location of controls and how to access different parts that we could routinely tend to. Our previous home had oil-fired hot water heat and no central air, and when we purchased this house we received very little instruction in its mechanical systems. (It has both gas-fired forced air heat and central AC, and gas-fired hot water heat.) Dominic was extremely methodical and patient. He spent at least an hour with us, inspecting and taking care of the different systems (including doing some vacuuming that really went above and beyond the call) andand mdash;no less important to usand mdash; educating us about the routine maintenance we should do. He listened to our questions and answered them clearly. By the time he left we felt much more confident about what we can do to avoid problems and insure that our systems work at peak efficiency. You can bet we will turn to Viglione for future heating and cooling needs.

Standard job to replace AC unit. It was done in a time. The one crucial moment: they are working during Saturday.

These guys were great, they replaced my furnace and air conditioning, and moved my new thermostat. I was only available for a few days out of the month and they were very accommodating in trying to work with my schedule. They worked very diligently all day and showed me how to work my new appliances. Fantastic!

They were professional in every sense of the word. They were also very kind and courteous, and treated my elderly mother with gentleness and care. Every effort was made to avoid stress and disruption to the household during repairs--which was particularly difficult to achieve during the severe winter of 2011. They took great care of my parents home, and left all work areas spotless and tidy. They truly went out of their way to help. It is a family owned business and that is evident in their customer interface and general follow through. From my very first communication when the owner immediately got on the phone to discuss the work that might be needed, through to all subsequent contacts with sales engineers and technicians. All my contacts were positive. Plus, the sales engineer made a follow up visit a couple of weeks after installation to make certain that all was working smoothly and to my satisfaction.

Had Viglione clean the evaporator coils and air handler of an 18-year old central air conditioner. Scheduled appointment 9 days in advance and was given 4 hour window (9 AM - 1PM). Contractor arrived at 3:35 PM and made no mention of lateness. Dispatch claimed to have left a phone message but I didn't receive any message. 6/9/11 was a sweltering hot day, perhaps there was a rash of and quot;emergencyand quot; calls and our routine maintenance became a lower priority. The contractor cleaned coils and checked and resealed unit as requested; the work does seem to have reduced mild odors from unit as anticipated. Took longer than I estimated to perform and thus cost slightly more than I expected, but overall I am reasonably happy with the job. Willing to accept that tardiness was due to spike in A/C calls on a very hot day and lack of phone call due to miscommunication. Overall quality of work seems good, might contact them in the future, but would consider others.

The servicemen when they were here were very nice and very good. The customer service department leaves a lot to be desired and I was not very impressed. They are very rough, rude and not very friendly. I was without heat for an entire night because they only gave me their general number instead of the emergency number. Everything was still under warranty from when the appliances were installed.

We initially contacted Viglione for an appointment on November 5, 2010. Viglione did not call or show even after I contacted them mid-afternoon. They said that they were running a bit late. I expect that difficult situations might arise but I would expect to receive a communication. I debated trying them again. In the end, I did and I'm glad I did. Our experience with Ken was nothing but positive.

Initially two men arrived around 8AM to begin disconnecting and removing both the old oil tank and furnace. A third man arrived to assist at about 9:30 and Dennis Clini, the Field Supervisor arrived shortly thereafter. The men worked continuously until around noon for lunch. They resumed work at about 1PM and brought in the new furnace and the necessary ducts and other peripherals. The furnace is a Lennox 95% efficiency Model # G61MP-60C-111. The men left for the day at about 4PM. The entire basement was left in absolutely immaculate condition. The following morning the men arrived at 8AM and did the final hookup, venting to the outside, wiring, thermostat placement, humidifier install, calibrating and testing. Now retired but having been in the trades myself, I have never seen a more thoroughly neater installation carried out as professionally and conscientously in a timely manner. The Viglione name stands on itself. I wasn't looking for a cut-rate contractor and I was confident that the family reputation and workmanship would justify whatever price I was quoted. I was proud to have Viglione trucks parked in front of my home knowing that I did the right thing.
