Description of Work: No services needed to be performed however he gave me good advice. I have used this company for years and mike is honest and never leaves me waiting for scheduled appointment. I would never think of using anyone else for my appliances

Description of Work: Our 5 year old GE washing machine was overfilling with water and flooding the laundry room. Mike diagnosed the problem - a blocked sensing line which tells the control unit that the water is up to correct level. He cleared the blockage in the sensing line and the washing machine is working fine now. Mike also evaluated the performance of our 16 year old Frigidaire refrigerator (water forming in the main compartment) and recommended steps for us to take to eliminate this problem. If his suggestions do not solve this issue, he would have to come out again to see if there is a more serious issue which would require part replacement.

Description of Work: He diagnosed the problem with my dryer and advised me that it wasn't worth fixing--not surprising since it was 31 years old! He advised me on how to find the basic dryer I wanted. He was very friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable since he had to dismantle the machine to determine what was wrong with it.

Description of Work: Mike's came in and fixed my microwave. I had looked up on the internet what may be wrong with my microwave. Several of the fixes were significantly more expensive than the repair that was done. Mike could have sold me a bigger job and I would never have known the difference. I had a problem after and they were extremely responsive to follow up. Highly recommend.

Description of Work: Front load washer would not drain and spin. Called Mike - he came out same day and repaired the problem (the washer was clogged). My front load dryer wasn't drying very well and he gave me tips on how to improve its perfornance. The dryer works great now.

+ -1 moreMy washing machine stopped draining. I'm a pessimist about appliances that stop working, and had visions of having to take everything out to a laundromat. Mike arrived promptly, opened the machine and started to try to find the problem(s). He started by checking the most expensive parts to replace, and was able to quickly reassure me that it didn't look like it would need major new parts. Because I like to learn about how my appliances work, Mike said I could watch and ask questions, which I did. Mike found a blockage in my drain hose -- several blocks in fact. I was right there when Mike found the problem, so he as able to give me a gentle (but thorough) lesson about what NOT to wash in my small stacked washer/dryer. No shaggy bathroom mats. Nothing that would shed. I was guilty as charged! As he was working, he explained what he was doing, and said that I would be able to do most of what he had done if I had the problem again -- just stay away from the mechanical parts. Mike was efficient and thorough. He had the tools necessary to complete the job, and was very neat while working on my washing machine.
Description of Work: My washing machine was thoroughly checked to determine why it would not drain before spinning. The problem was found and corrected.

+ -1 moreOne thing I really like about Mike's is that he will come out on Saturdays. He is just great. He is able to fit me in promptly for an appointment and I like that. I am sorry I do not recall a charge at this time but I don't think I would complain. I think that it would have been reasonable to my liking.
Description of Work: I had my refrigerator door repaired and as well as the thermostat in my dryer repaired. Mike's did the work for me.

+ -1 moreOn the first visit, the problem was diagnosed - missing wash arm (obviously) as well as a missing gasket on the bottom of the door. Both the gasket and a bracket to hold the wash arm had to be ordered. It took over 2 weeks to get the parts, but then a repairman came the next day to install them. The dishwasher works great. Very courteous and professional.
Description of Work: Dishwasher was overflowing onto floor. Upper rack wash arm was missing - although previous homeowner left us that uninstalled part.
