A Plus Mike's Appliance Service

Mike did job good. He was respectful and on time. He worked quickly and efficiently.

One service call and they were out the next day. Walked through the costs as we went giving me complete control of costs. Saved me from having to purchase a new washer due to reasonable costs. The serviceman was very confident and had all the parts in his van.

I found Mike here on Angie's List. He had so many positive reviews I decided to give him a try. I'm very glad I did! Several things and quot;wentand quot; all at once and we needed someone who could come and take care of it all in a prompt, reasonably priced manner. Mike fit the bill exactly! First, he looked at the garbage disposal and quickly discovered that the problem was a foreign object stuck inside. Next was the washing machine, which wouldn't drain the water after finishing a load. After a complete examination he determined that a switch had gone bad. He was very knowledgeable about the appliances and understood the complexities involved. He had to get a replacement part and was back two days later and quickly installed it. The service was professional, reasonably priced and done quickly in a very personable manner. I would certainly call Mike's again if the need arose.

He was quick, honest and very good. The problem was fixed.

A little pricey, but sometimes a few extra dollars spent is worth it. He didn't lie or try to get me to spend $$ on something not worth fixing.

I was very happy that someone got out the very day that I had called and for a very reasonable service charge. I appreciated his honesty in advising me the prudent way to go. I ended up purchasing a new machine and removing the old one.

Our dishwasher was making rattling sounds and not draining. Mike was able to vacuum the offending piece of plastic out of the impeller and fix the problem without having to take the pump apart or require new parts. Job was performed neatly and in a reasonable time. I would use them again.

He did not try and sell me anything that I did not need and he was very specific about hoe he calculated my bill.

Called A Plus Mike's Appliance Service 8:30 this morning; frig was not cooling, but freezer was still working fine. Receptionist was very responsive, said they'd have someone out today. Mike was here by 1:20 pm, immediately identified the problem as the fan, had the replacement part in his truck, and was finished by 2:00. He was professional from start to finish, and his price was fair. I am extremely happy with the service and will call this company again for any appliance repairs in the future.

My freezer stopped cooling, and was full of ice. I called a company I had used before but couldn't get a technician to come to the house for 4 days! I checked Angie's List and decided to try A Plus Mike's. Not only was the office personnel great, they had someone out to the house within 3 hours of my calling them!. The technician was very polite, clean and efficient. He defrosted the freezer and replaced the heater. Everything is working great. I will certainly use them again for any appliance repair needs i have.

The lady that took my call was pleasant and informed me that I would probably have service that day. A few hours later Mike arrived, and checked all functions. He discovered the problem and fixed it. I am very pleased with this company.

Excellent from start to finish. Our washing machine was working the very same afternoon.

Initial service call very prompt -within 3 hours. Diagnosed problem - self defrost was not working properly. Ordered new part. When received and came to install discovered that part not needed, only a wiring repair. Did not charge for part. Only paid for initial diagnosis and labor to repair wiring.

Our dryer was running but no heat - it turned out that a build up of lint below the lint filter caused the dryer thermostat to overheat and eventually die. They came in found the problem, and fixed it and cleaned out the excess lint in @ 45 min. Very happy with the work.

I had a problem with my dishwasher. They were honest. He thought it was going to be one issue and ordered a part for it. When that part came in he opened and saw it was just a toothpick that was lodged in the drainage system. He didn't charge me for the part and took it back. He was very professional. He didn't rip me off when he could have.

I called late Friday and he was here Saturday afternoon. Woman answering phone was very helpful, even worked around our need to run out for an hour on Saturday.

I was very impressed with the service and the serviceman especially since I am new to the Rocky Hill area and decided to join Angies List for the recommendations on her web site. The service man was honest and I thought the price was more than fair.

I will hire them again in the future.

Receptionist in office was very polite. Scheduled Mike to come out same day. Mike diagnosed the problem very quickly while explaining everything he was doing. He gave us instructions for defrosting the unit to tide us over until he could make permanent repair. He came back exactly when he said he would and installed the part he had ordered. The total cost was exactly what he estimated. I would highly recommend Mike. He is an honest, hardworking and totally dependable professional.

Overall, I really was satisfied with my experience. Mike is great.

Front-loading washing machine kept shutting off and wouldn't drain. Mike came the next day, tried an inexpensive fix, which didn't work, then had to order a part and came back when the part came in. In all, he was very responsive, hard working, efficient, honest, and overall, a nice guy.

Showed up at 1 PM for a morning appointment. Once arrived, very professional. Wasted no time, went right to work and fixed the problem. Reasonable in price. Other than arriving late, a very good experience.

Mike responded immediately to a Sunday call about our refrigerator which was not running. We had tried to schedule with Sears, but they could not fit us in for at least two days. Another repairman said the minimum service call price would be $150 (Mike's price for a Sunday call was $100), and we got only an answering machine when trying to reach a third. Finally, we looked at Angie's List and tried Mike. He was at our house within the hour, quickly assessed the problem, and had the part with him necessary to immediately complete the repair. He was in and out within 45 minutes. He was also very patient with our questions and efforts to "help" him.

The work went fine, he was neat and fixed the appliance.
