Steve was great! He met me after work to look over what needed to be done. Then he came on a Sunday to do the work. He realized he didn't have one of the fittings he needed so he came back the next day after I got out of work to complete the job. We spent a while talking about where we wanted the hookups and he gave us his advice and all of the options. He was really easy to work with and super helpful. We just bought the house so each time he was there I asked him lots of questions about other things in the house and he stayed way longer than he needed to answering all my questions and helping me out. I wouldn't call any other plumber.

Such a pleasure to deal with a professional, competent person. He is definitely the "go to" plumber and he is very reasonable in his rate. I would recommend him highly.

Steve is an extremely responsive, competent, knowledgeable, and honorable plumber. We have hired his services several times in the past two months, and he has always been upfront and honest with his cost estimates, and seems to truly have our best interests at heart. To give an example: other plumbers, when consulted, said they'd have to cut through the back of our office wall in order to replace the tub overflow and diverter, and Steve was the only one who said he could and would do it from the bathroom side, even though it was more physically taxing, thereby saving us a lot of $$ and a lot of effort in repairing the plaster wall. Another example: when a corroded drain pipe broke and water flooded into our walls, he was there within half an hour on a Sunday night to find the source of the problem, which involved cutting a hole in our wall. He was there the next day to effect the plumbing repairs, and even took the time out to show me (a newbie DIY'er) how to fix the hole in the wall. On another occasion he gave us advice on how to repair our well pump, gratis. Steve is that rare bird of contractor, the kind that's competent, honest, and fair, and anyone would do well in hiring him for their plumbing needs.

Steve was able to accomodate a change in appt. time the very day of a previously planned appt. (Steve came earlier due to a conflict that arose for me). He was prompt and professional. I enjoyed learning about preventative care and how to shut off the water main. The price was fair. It was clear he had alot of experience in the field and I would definately use Night Owl again.

Called, got estimate, told about leak and saw service rep that day - awesome, direct service.

Steve was awesome. I emailed him through Angie's list because it was late at night, but it wasn't really an emergency. (I had shut off the main valve.) He emailed me back early the next morning, but he also called me to make sure we got in touch. He gave me the choice of times and arrived at the said time (actually 15 minutes early---nice:) Problem was identified quickly (broken supply line) and he had a replacement with him. I had him replace both lines on that sink because we figured the other would go at some point and I decided to be proactive in the matter. It was a quick fix, but he also switched a mistake that I had made when installing my kitchen faucet. As a bonus, Steve noticed some military memorabilia and pictures we had near the bathroom and asked if it were my husband that served. I said we had both been in the Air Force. He went out to his truck to write up my bill and and it reflected a military discount of $25. I wouldn't have even thought to ask. That was the most generous gesture I was floored. So--the bill had been $110, before that courtesy (that included the replacement lines) --even that was cheaper than what we spent for similar service from other plumbers. Steve has a customer for as long as he's in business! (Hopefully, he won't get too busy with all this good publicity:)

I knew I had found the right plumber based on how quickly he returned my call. Whereas my regular plumber for 15 years told me they could not have someone come out for 5 days (even through the leak was so bad we had to turn off the water in our house) he said he could be there that night. Yes, that is right the same night which happened to be a Friday night and he was there until 9:30 PM. Next good sign is he showed up exactly when he said he would be there and was able to diagnosis and fix the problem quickly. He not only fixed the pin hole we showed him but found an additional hole we didn't notice. We then discussed the water pressure issues we were having in our house and he went from room to room making adjustments in sinks and showers to increase our pressure. He was also very pleasant to deal with and gave us alot of good information. I was also thrilled at how neat he left everything. The best surprise is how reasonable his prices were. We were sure that he would charge some sort of emergency or night/weekend surcharge but his bill was the most reasonable bill I have ever seen from a plumber with nothing tacked on for the fact it was a weekend night or an emergency. I am very pleased and now have a new plumber that I would recommend to everyone.

Called Steve and left a message. He called me back within 5 minutes. I explained the problem with pipes vibrating in my walls when a shower was in use and over the phone he suggested what the problem might be. Explained his rate $75/hour (1 hour minimum) and I told him to come over. He was here in 10 minutes. He replaced the stem in the shower faucet, fix another problem we had with a moen kitchen faucet from a previous plumber and was done within the hour. Excellent service, friendly guy and a Guilford local. Would highly recommend and we will be calling him again.

Steve examined the existing setup, made sensible recommendations, explained his thought-process and worked diligently and neatly.

Excellent. Steve returns calls immediately and schedules same day since in an emergency. He is conscientious, neat and fun. Have referred him to may friends.

It went very well, easy to set up, he showed up on time, did his job, cleaned up. We arranged a second appt. for another situation that came up. He came at the agreed upon time and fixed it at a reasonable cost.

All was done well and on time.
