John was extremely punctual and kept to his word when the job would be finished. He kept a constant line of communication with me about what he was doing and even educated me a bit when I asked him certain questions about the project. He was extremely efficient on getting the job done and has a inherit keen eye for detail. His quality of work was exceptional and I would highly recommend him for any tiling job.

I first found Jonathan through Angie's List when I was looking for someone to install a backsplash in my kitchen. He was honest, reliable and did a great job. when I decided to remove an old AC from my living room wall and install a stained glass window, I did not look any further - I got in touch with Jonathan immediately. I told him I found a woman that does stained glass so I wanted to buy a new window, have her solder a stained glass design on it, and then have him install the window. He came over, measured, gave me a fair price, which included ordered a new window, removing the AC, repairing some rot around the AC and installing the window. when the window came, he drove to Plantsville to bring it to the stained glass artist. when the window was ready (and the snow stopped falling), Jonathan came over to remove the ac, frame out and install the window. I am so pleased with his work and his professionalism. He is now my go to person when I need to have anything done to the house. I highly recommend Jonathan if anyone needs any work done on their house. Thank you.

I had a problem with cracked bathroom tiling in my rented apt., and the landlord's contractor blamed me. I needed an independent assessment and Jonathan was the third one I called off Angie's List. He agreed to come the very next morning and showed up at 8am. He immediately assessed the real problem which was wall tiles used for floor tiling, took photos and provided me with a professional report. My landlord then had another contractor come who agreed with Jonathan's assessment. Jonathan didn't get any remodeling contract for this work, it just shows that he is a responsive, punctual and professional contractor with expert knowledge.

Jonathan is a straight shooter--his estimate was very close to the final cost, and he gave professional advice that seemed right on the mark. He is very trustworthy, considerate, punctual, and reliable. He's not the cheapest contractor, but he does a great job, and he is up front about where all the costs come from.

He is very professional. He came on time and cleaned up after himself. He is a true craftsman. My kitchen cabinets required a lot of extra cutting and he installed the border and cut it in such a way that you can't even tell there is a dip. He did an amazing job.

John replaced old vinyl sheet flooring and its subfloor in the kitchen. He installed new subfloor, 18x18 premium vinyl tiles, wall shoe molding, cabinet vinyl molding and floor transition. The service cost probably could have been a little bit better but I am satisfied with the result. He works meticulously and very clean. He also goes the extra miles. While waiting for the floor primer to dry, John secured a shaky handrail in the living room with no extra charge. This certainly added value to the whole job. I will use his service again for future projects.

It started to rain in the house, and once we confirmed it was the shower from upstairs, we took the opportunity to look into redoing the tile in the bathroom, which we weren't a fan of anyways. We received a couple estimates, and both were nearly the same. We chose JM Contracting as a result of the value and confidence he provided during the estimation process. Aside from being thorough, professional and meticulous, he provided value! He helped us make some key decisions around the tile, and what to go with and things to consider. In fact, I firmly believe that we would not have been nearly as happy with the shower tile had we going with our original plan and not have had the advice/recommendation from Jonathan from JM Contracting. JM communicated very well throughout the process, was very neat during the process, and the final product looks fantastic!! He also throughout the process was very friendly and continued to add value offering ideas for other planned projects.

He's done work for us and for others in my family. He's done fabulous cabinetry and flooring installations. There's never a money problem if something goes wrong because they don't end up charging us for it.
