They provided extremely prompt responses. The contractor went above and beyond to help us and suggest changes. He gave me a very good price and he was very flexible about billing.

The owner came out for an estimate shortly after I contacted him. Work was completed within a week of the estimate. Jeremy also fixed a couple of sockets and threw in a surge protector all for the quoted price. We will look to use him again.

What I really like is that he opted for a more cost-effective repair instead of a full replacement. He ended up replacing the starter, which was very inexpensive in both part and labor costs. I have a lot of confidence in his work and opinions.

Jeremy completed everything promised within the agreed upon time-frame. He also went above and beyond by installing a few other cables and balancing the speakers upon completion. He is passionate about his work, offers many good suggestions, and even came back after install to ensure everything was working well and to answer any questions.

The job was finished on time, on estimate, and above all, jeremy gave me choices about which way to go. He didn't treat me like a know-nothing (even though, in this domain, I am!) He cleaned up and was generally excellent. I will use and recommend him again!

Jeremy from Sound Electric called me back promptly in response to a VM I left with the company regarding electrical work that I'd like to hire him for around my house. I was hesitant to call him b/c I don't exactly live near Canton, and thought that he might not be able to do the work b/c it was out of his work area. I couldn't have been more mistaken. He met with me soon after, at my home, EARLY in the morning b/c I didn't want to take any time off of work for this. He is very accommodating and was always promptly on time. He immediately went to work when he got there. He was prepared with all the materials he needed. As a single female, living alone, I was nervous about letting anyone I don't know into my home. I felt at ease with Jeremy soon after meeting him. He seemed to really like my dogs, so I wasn't worried about him being in the house with them, although I made sure they were secured upstairs and out of his way. I have no reservations about calling him back for any future electrical work I'd want performed. My neighbors used him a week later after seeing what he'd done with the electrical in my home. It's a comfort to be able to trust someone.

We had used Sound electric in the fall to install 2 indoor ceiling fans and repair an outdoor outlet. He was wonderful, no mess, arrived on time etc. and very reasonable.This time we called again because we were so pleased with our previous experience. Again he installed a ceiling fan in the living room with no problem, and repaired the driveway lights and front door lights. He is wonderful. He is reasonable, very pleasant, arrives on time, it pet friendly, never leaves a mess. He can fix any electrical problem.

Jeremy was going to change some lights in our basement and update a few outlets on the first floor. He installed 2 track lights, moved a fluorescent light, removed an old light fixture and installed 2 dimmer switches. The outlets on the first floor were very old so we decided to update all of them (14), including 2 of the kitchen outlets to GIF. Jeremy also updated two of the light switches, one of which was not working consistently. The work was done quickly, professionally and with a smile. In January, Jeremy completely upgraded our overhead electrical service, fixed our kitchen light/fan and an outside motion light and did a great job. Our house is safer and more functional, which is wonderful.

Jeremy came out and inspected the problem. The next day he arrived with parts to get the job done, then had to leave to get additional equipment. Didn't charge us for time driving to get parts or equipment. Good communicator.Loves his job.

There were three reasons I hired Sound Electric. Jeremy was on time for appointments. He took time (off the clock) to discuss the project and come up with solutions, particularly with a basement/home theater remodel that I will report on when that project is complete. And most of all, he loves his job. He is an electrical systems geek. That is who I want working on my project. He is not the guy who just wants to get in and out in a hurry without a care. He really wants to make sure he gets the job done right. He fought through numerous bureaucratic snafus at the local permit department, one of them saving us $10,000 in relocation charges. When he was done, it was the cleanest panel job I had ever seen. You might ask if that kind of service is going to cost a premium. The billable hours were more than fair and he worked hard (an understatement for sure). His estimate was slightly less than the others and the bill came in right on the estimate amount. A couple weeks after the job was complete, I had a few questions about the panel. He came out promptly and addressed the questions at no charge. I look forward to working with him as I finish the basement project and would highly recommend Sound Electric.

The work done was great. The electrician showed up early and worked unbelievably hard all day. He also worked until the job was done and he did the other little things that we wanted to be done. He will probably come back to do some other work for us and he was awesome. He was neat and clean as well. The price that he charged was fair compared to the other bids that we got and the quality of his work was very good too. His responsiveness was fabulous and his punctuality was excellent. We will use his services in the future too.

While putting up the outside Christmas lights this year on our home in Simsbury, I was alarmed to find that the insulation on our service entrance cable had rotted away, allowing water to leak into our meter and inside panel. This had been a concern from when we first purchased the house four years ago, but I had patched a few holes and forgotten about it. Not this time. I realized I had to bite the bullet and have the cable, meters, and panel replaced. I found Sound Electric via Angie's List and after reading the glowing reviews that Jeremy received I gave him a call and had him come out to give me an estimate. Jeremy came out a week or so before Christmas, surveyed the situation, and explained what would need to be done. When he quoted me the price, I almost fainted. Not because it was too high, but because it was so reasonable. Jeremy's quote of $1600 to replace the service entrance cable, meter, and main panel, adding dual lightning rods and upgrading our service from 100-amp to 200-amp was literally half what the electrician who came by during our home inspection in 2005 had quoted me for the same job. Adding a whole-home surge protection device brought the total cost up to $1800; still an amazing bargain. We scheduled the work for the Monday after Christmas (12-28). Jeremy arrived promptly at 8:00 AM that morning and got right down to business on the outside work, despite the off-and-on snow and sleet we were getting. Within three hours all the outside work was done and Jeremy was downstairs, taking out the old panel and untangling a mess of confusing, patchwork wiring. By 2:00 PM the new panel was in and we had power back. A couple of hours after that he had finished tidying up and labeling everything and was ready to hit the road. It was about as quick and painless an experience as we could have possibly hoped for. In addition to doing the installation, Jeremy arranged for the electrical inspector's visit and the installation of our new meter by the power company. I didn't have to lift a finger or call anyone. The work he did looks phenomenal. Everything is nice and neat and tight looking. Jeremy's attention to detail is first rate, and seeing the care he took with every step of the job (yes, I was pestering him a good deal of the time) really put me at ease. If you need work done on your home's electrical system, Jeremy is your man. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Jeremy arrived on time. Trouble-shot system, traced confusing layout and rewired and cleaned up setup. He was a joy to work with and took great pains to explain every step he took and how equipment works.

He arrived exactly on time for the estimate and when he was late for the installation he called at the time he was supposed to arrive and said he was running, said when he would arrive and arrived when he said he would. He cleaned up everything, installed everything quickly and professionally and it looks beautiful. His estimate was more than the actual cost.

I only hire owner/operators, and I always have good experiences. Jeremy was very easy to work with.
