Great! I initially called and left a message after 5:00 pm on a weekday when I came home from work to a warm fridge. I received a call back within 10 minutes. At that point, they took the model number and asked me how late they could call back, and I said to call literally anytime. At around 9:45 pm Scott called me back with a correct diagnosis of the problem (bad board), and patiently walked me through steps to force a manual defrost cycle, which I was to do every hour and call in the morning to report whether it was working. The freezer was so badly frosted over that I couldn't hear the defrost cycle working nor see much progress, so I mistakenly thought that it was not working and called to report this in the morning. We scheduled a service call for that afternoon, when he (again!) correctly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and instructed us to continue forcing the manual defrost until the part arrived; this extra step enabled us to get food back in the fridge sooner as the shipment of the part was held up by the holiday weekend. We had another (deeply discounted!) service call the next week to install the new board as soon as it arrived. I could not be happier with the responsiveness to my calls or the fact that I was patiently walked through the correct steps at almost 10:00 at night!

I described problem over the phone. He correctly diagnosed it. Brought the right part. Fixed it in 15 minutes.

I called to check on the service area covered and discuss the services I needed. Scott called back and left a message within a reasonable time frame. In his message, he asked for more details (model of refrigerator, etc.), which I left for him in a return message. I never heard back from him. I called two more times and still no response. I was hoping to avoid this type of experience by using Angie's List...

He showed up on time. He knew what he was doing and was finished in 30 minutes. Very pleased with the result and the cost was much less than purchasing a new washer.

We called and Ray (Monday 7/13) and Scott ( Tuesday 7/14) returned calls. The first call (Ray) was to clarify our problem and to identify GE refrigerator model number. Scott called 7/14 to discuss possible part failures and corresponding costs. Scott directed me to look for a possible frozen water tube, earlier I manually added water to the automatic ice tray and the tray was good. Thus it most likely was filling tray with water. We decided not to repair the ice maker. The cost would be about $150 (water control valves) and $150 labor. Our decision was to put the money $300 toward a new refrigerator. Ray was okay with that and made a few brand suggestions. I would not hesitate to call Ray's Appliance repair again. They were very helpful in helping us make the best solution. In the meantime we make ice the old fashion way.

excellent work. In and out in an hour. Cleaned up everything. Love the service. Guys are friendly father and son. No complaints. Very honest and hard-working people.

Scott and his dad, Ray, were terrific. The first visit determined the cause of the problem, and unfortunately the part needed to be ordered, so it took a second visit to make the repair. Both visits were timely and the work was accomplished professionally. Scott is clearly good at what he does and is easy and pleasant to work with. I'll call them again anytime I need a major appliance repair.

ALL WENT VERY WELL! Scott was happy he had a factory new fan in the truck for my 21 year old KitchenAid fridge. He didn't have to "rebuild" the old one which also lowered the overall cost. He said since the original lasted 21 years there's no reason to think the new one wouldn't last as long. He checked everything to be sure all was working well before he left. He gave me the Angie's List discount which was a nice plus. I'm very happy with Ray's Appliance Repair -- their expert professionalism, promptness and competitive pricing. Scott was at my house once before last year when I accidentally dislodged my oven door and couldn't get it back on. He had the right tools to get it back. He remembered he was here before. I had forgotten. I definitely recommend Ray's Appliance Repair without reservation. It's certainly much cheaper than buying a new appliance these days!

Great- he was on time and explained the problem in easy to understand language. Scott the technician was friendly and extremely informative. When we purchase our first home I will ask him to take a look at all of the appliances- he really knows his stuff!

He did a good job. He was prompt after he received the parts, he came out right after he received them and fixed it right away. Everything has been working fine since.

I called on Monday and they were able to make the appointment for Wednesday. Scott was on time and more importantly, he called when he was 20 minutes away so I wasn't waiting. He quickly diagnosed the issue with the dishwasher and fixed it just as quick. I could not have asked for better experience, I will use them again.

The oven is working perfectly fine. No problems at all.

I made the call on Tuesday and got an appointment for Friday. I asked that the technician call 30 minutes before arriving so I could come home from work. He did and we arrived at my home at the same time. Scott was great. Figured out the problem and we came up with a fix that required no replacement parts. He also took apart the bottom section to show me that dishwashers do not dispose of food pieces, like salespeople claim, and instead clog up a small filter in the bottom. We cleaned the filter that was CAKED with food and from now on I completely rinse and scrape! This was my first experience with Angie's List and, of course, with Ray's. I'm a new loyal fan of both!!

I was very pleased with Ray's. He (Gary) came out same day - on time. He diagnosed several issues. On his return visit, he quickly installed the new parts and made sure everything was working correctly. I would highly recommend this company. I felt he was knowledgeable, professional and someone I now trust.

We have a Kenmore washing machine that was giving an error code. We called Ray's Appliance Repair and our call was returned within an hour. We were told that Scott is the one who does the repairs of washing machines and that he would call in the evening. He called when we were told he would and he told us that it would be cheaper to buy a new machine than to try to fix the one we had. It isn't common for repairmen to tell you the truth and actually try to save you money. I appreciated his honesty and would definitely call the company in the future should I need any repairs. They could have wasted my time and money trying to fix a useless machine but instead they gave me helpful honest advice.

My washing machine filled with water but would not drain or spin. I called Ray's and set up an appointment expecting that it couldn't be fixed. Scott arrived on time and quickly located and corrected the problem at a very reasonable price. I would definitley use Ray's Appliance Repair again and would highly recommend.

Scott came the day after I called to take a look at the washer. It turned out to be a major job, so it took about a week to schedule (because it was a 2-man job). The day Scott and Ray came, unfortunately one of the other washer parts broke because it was so old (my washer is 37 years old), so they couldn't finish the same day, and said that it would take a couple of days to get the part. To my surprise, Ray called the next day - he had gotten the part and came right over to finish! When the work was finished they tested the machine to be sure there were no other problems or leaks, which a lot of other repairmen don't do. They were great to deal with - knowledgeable, honest, and nice, too. I will be using them for all of my appliance repairs.

Ray was great. Our dryer stopped working and I gave him call. Called him on Tuesday and he was able to come out after work on Thursday to fix it. Ray was a total professional explained why it broke and fixed the problem so it wont happen again. I would have have him come out again if anything else in my house breaks.

Scott was very responsive and scheduled a visit within 2 days. He came on-time, prepared and made our repairs in one visit. Very knowledgeable and courteous. Would use him again.

I advised Ray's appliance on the phone that our dishwasher was leaking above the motor and gave them the model dishwasher we had. Ray's appliance came to our house to repair the dishwasher, the repair person said he wasn't feeling well and wanted to get home. While I feel for him that he wasn't feeling well, he should have stayed home. He opened the dishwasher and tried to get pieces apart inside to see the problem and was unable to. He spent 15 minutes and then said it needed a kit to fix it. He said he was going to leave and would check on the parts and call back. He called back and said they don't make the kit anymore. I told him I found the kit online, he then said they don't use that supplier and that their supplier didn't have it. I was charged $100 for the service charge for 15 minutes and there would be another $50 charge if they were to return. He didn't even remove the motor which holds the pieces to try to get it apart and look at the condition of everything, a procedure that is recommended online for getting these pieces apart. Due to my lack of confidence in them I have decided not to use them any longer.

Came to examine a non-functioning dishwasher and confirmed my fears that it was so old that parts were not available. He was pleasant and sympathetic and showed me exactly what was broken.
