Excellent service from the start. We scheduled a date that we had to change because of illness. Cristhian worked out a prompt alternative. Owner and staff showed up on time and did our job in a very professional manner. I have recently had surgery and they accomadated my limitations. Excellent workmanship, great customer service. The best of the best.

Chris, the owner of Professional Hardwood Floors, just completed approx. 2500 sqft of hardwood floors and our kitchen counter. From the initial contact to the estimate to competing the work, every detail was handled promptly, professionally and with the highest quality standard. Chris was the most knowledgeable of all the companies that quoted the work. As we have reclaimed pine floors the job was a bit more complex than most, and his crew did an amazing job. We organized the work to be done while we were away on vacation, since would not be able to walk on the floors after it is finished. I asked Chris to communicate with me via email every day he was on the job, which he did without fail. All the details were covered and upon our return the job was 99% done. He returned today to apply one additional coat on our counter top and fix up a few areas, all of which was done with a great attitude and a real warmth that is hard to find these days. Chris was more expensive than his competitors, but I could tell the job would be done perfectly and with pride - as it was. We can highly recommend Chris and we are considering doing some additional work with him as well

Christhian, the owner of PHF, came out to give me an estimate for flooring in my bedroom, which was competitive with other estimates I received. We discussed prefinished v.s. unfinished flooring and pros & cons. He was very knowledgeable and helped me decide on the prefinished wood. I selected the Somerset 4" wide flooring and after his primary supplier's price went up, Christhian went to a second supplier that was further away and got me a better price. He delivered the flooring a few days before the installation and opened one of the boxes so I could see the flooring and make sure it was what I wanted. I saw him check the labels on all the cartons before he left to make sure all the boxes had the correct flooring. Steve came out a few days later, removed the carpet, fixed a few squeaks in the sub-floor, and installed the new flooring. Steve did a fantastic job on the installation. During the installation Steve checked with me on a few issues to make sure I would be happy with the way the flooring would look in the end. Both Christhian and Steve showed up when they said they would be at my house (not many contractors I've dealt with do this!). They were very professional and helpful during the entire process, checking with me every step of the way to make sure I would end up being a happy customer, and I am.

We could not have been more pleased with the entire process. Cristhian was punctual, polite, and provided us with solid recommendations. He started the job on a Saturday to coincide with some time away from the house that we planned. Most providers of this service were unable to start on a Saturday and had to fit in the normal Mon-Fri timing. So starting on a weekend was a plus. He finished up the job when he said he would. He and his team did a fantastic job on the floors, which included some repairs and replacements.

It went very well. Cris was available to answer all questions whenever I called him. Things went exactly as he estimated, and the floors look beautiful.

They did a good job. Christian was the owner and he gave us a quote pretty promptly. He was pretty detail-oriented, we are happy with them and the floors look great. They were timely and everything they said they would they did. I don't think they were the cheapest but I think they did a good job. I think I could have done it for a couple of hundred bucks cheaper but they slowed and I wanted it done right and I wanted the best materials. They nick up the walls a little bit but I understand they did tore up the floor but that's not the worst thing. I would recommend them and use them again.

PHF was professional to deal with from our initial inquiry through completion of the second job we hired them for. The owner Cristhian is personally involved in both the quoting of estimates and the completion of the work and takes his work seriously. They were always very careful when we requested them to bring in equipment into the house a certain way, they always called to confirm work dates and would contact us if running early or late, and really worked with us to accommodate the work within our tight schedule. We will definitely hire them again if we need hardwood or tile work completed.

After reading the positive reviews for this company, I called and left a voice mail message to set up a meeting for an estimate. No more than 5 minutes after leaving my voice mail, I received a call back from Cristhian, the owner of Professional Hardwood Flooring. I was in no rush to have the estimate completed, but certainly wanted to start this project sooner rather than later. Within 2 hours of speaking to Cristhian, he had arrived at my house at the agreed upon meeting time,and he was writing up the estimate. Everything that you have read in the other reviews about Cristhian is spot on. He was friendly, informative, prompt, and willing to answer any question asked (even when I asked the same question more than once). I knew on the spot that this was going to be the company/person that I wanted to do the work, so we discussed when the work could be completed. As luck had it, Cristhian had availability the following day, and as it worked with my schedule as well, we set the appointment up. When I mentioned that I found the company via Angie's List, Cristhian made it a point to say that he himself works every job (I assume that means, when he can) that comes by way of Angie's List. He stated that he wanted to make sure that the clients were happy and ensure that he would continue to receive positive reviews on this site. It was clear that he understands and appreciates the significance of reviews on this website. Cristhian and Winsted arrived promptly at 9am the following day. The schedule for the day had been outlined to me when I received the estimate, and everything on the day of installation went exactly as it had been explained. During the estimate process, Cristhian had pointed out a stain (probable pet stain) and noted that it was possible that the sanding may remove the stain, but also there was the potential that the stain could have already penetrated the depth of the wood and that if this was the case, he had the ability to replace the bad boards, if I chose to do so (the cost had been outlined on the estimate the day before, so there were no surprises). As Cristhian had thought, the stain did not improve with sanding, so after he showed this to me, I made the decision to have the bad pieces repaired. The new boards blended in perfectly with the floor, and no one would ever realize that anything had been replaced on the floor. Cristhian was able to guide me with suggestions on the type of finish to use (I chose satin), as well as deciding on whether to use oil based or water based (I chose water based) sealants. Had he not guided me, I would have had no idea on which to choose, and for which reason. The project was started at 9am and was completed the same day by 4:30pm. I am SO pleased with the way the floor came out. The outcome definitely exceeded my expectations and now has me seriously thinking about how and when I can get Cristhian back out to do some additional areas of the house. My biggest regret now is why I didn't do this sooner! If you want to work with a company/owner that has an excellent reputation (read all the other reviews); provides an exceptional product; is knowledgeable/friendly/conscientious and hard working, then look no farther. I would recommend Cristhian and his company to any of my friends, family or anyone else I know, that is in the market for hardwood floor refinishing and/or installation. I have every intention of scheduling Cristhian to come back and do more floors for me, as soon as I can devise a plan to get my furniture moved out of the way for him.

Cristhian Macias is the nicest man to work with. His crew was there on time, worked hard for the entire job, and the work looks fabulous. They made the water damage disappear and everything is shiny and new. I would definitely use him again.

Jeremy looked at the scratches, reviewed options, took measurements and provided a good quote. He was very professional, took time to explain the whole process, options and provided recommendations. We decided to put off the refinishing for a later date, but I would definitely called Professional Hardwood first when I decided to move forward.

We highly recommened them! They quickly responded to our call to come out for a quote and when we hired them, they were able to accomodate our tight schedule so that we could move into our house on time. (It was much easier than having to move heavy furniture multiple times.) We were never present when we had the work done, but we also were not living here at the time. After the first day, they had finished most of the sanding and repairing, and they left some sample stain colors on the floor upstairs so that we could compare and choose a selection. It was much more helpful to see the stain on our floor than to see a book of samples all strung together. We are so happy with the stain color and the quality of work they did with the sanding. I have yet to find an area of floor that has a problem. The stairs also look great! All together, the process took 6 days, but then we let the floors dry for 5 days before moving furniture on them. Of note: this is not a "dustless" system... I would suggest you wipe down trim and window sills before moving your furniture back in. This is not a criticism of PHF's work, just a suggestion for anyone who has sanding done!

They were the only company who promptly returned my phone call and were able to come give us a quote the same day of the phone call. We were in a 'rush' situation and they totally managed to work things out with us. Great communication and were always timely. My only compliant (which is minor) is that there are a few drips of polyurethane on the baseboard in a couple of spots. Would definitely use again as well as recommend.

The staff showed up exactly as planned and the job was done in a timely manner. The results were outstanding and there was very little in the way of dust and dirt in the home upon the completion of the job. We left them alone in the home for three days and upon our return the job was complete. We would highly recommend this company. The price they quested was not the lowest quote but definitely the most professional.

They were excellent and Christine did a terrific job. I was extremely pleased with their work and he was especially conscientious of the fact of any type of delay coming to my house or anything like that, so there was always a phone call for things like being stuck in traffic. I considered the price to be very reasonable. He gave me a deal to do extra rooms since he was going to be there, but I actually feel like I got a better deal because instead of doing just one room I was able to have some other rooms done. He was also very honest with me too. I thought a couple of the rooms needed refinishing and he told me that they didn't need it and that they only needed to be re-coated, so I was very happy that I wasn't taken for a ride. He could've said that they all needed refinishing to make more money, but he didn't do that. One room I knew needed refinishing, but the other rooms he just re-coated for me and gave me a lot of information on how to keep my floors up. I was really very pleased with his suggestions and his estimate.

When the owner came to do the estimate I was sold right away. He really seemed to have a passion for his work and wanted me to understand the whole process whether I choose him or someone else. His team was punctual and did everything as was described to me. The floors look wonderful, much better than I imagined that they would! I would definitely recommend this company and would hire them again absolutely.

Jeremy and Cristhian were both great to deal with from beginning to end. We got quotes from 5 different hardwood floor refinishing companies and their price was among the most competitive. They did a phenomenal job and we definitely feel like we got our money's worth! Our hardwood floors look absolutely AMAZING! I would highly recommend Professional Hardwood Flooring and would hire them again in the future.

I received quotes from multiple companies, but decided to go with Professional Hardwood Flooring mainly based on how comfortable I was with them after they came and did a quote. Jeremy, the sales/project manager, spent almost an hour with me going over in great detail exactly what the job would entail and what options I had as far as finishes. I was really impressed with how thorough he was with the estimate as well as how honest he was with everything. He also spent some time giving suggestions on how to maintain my floors once the job was completed to keep the floors in good shape. The quote he gave me was reasonable and similar to other quotes I received for an oil based finish, but I did decide to spend a little more money and go with the StreetShoe finish which is a higher quality product compared to the oil based finish. I asked them to start in a couple weeks and they were able to accommodate me. The job was supposed to start on a Tuesday, but they needed an extra day on another job and contacted me to let me know that so it was not a problem at all. Chris, the owner, and his crew showed up early on Wednesday to start on the floors and they were all very nice and I liked how the owner was part of the crew completing the job. We briefly went over the details including some nail holes they had to fill in as well as a door threshold I asked them to replace. I did not live at my house while the work was completed, but they told me it would take 3 days and that's exactly what it took. They did a great job and my floors look great, I am very happy with how they came out. They left my house pretty clean although I did have to clean up some saw dust that stuck around the door frames as well as my wood trim and some of the lower parts of the walls. They do use a dustless sanding system, but Jeremy did give me a heads up that there would be a little clean up involved on our end as no dustless system is 100% so I had expected it. My experience with them from beginning to end was very good and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Let me start by stating that Jeremy was outstanding with communication from start to finish. punctual, and always available. He also subbed out the demo work and stair install and used an outstanding contractor with the same qualities. They scheduled all of the demo in one day, removing the tile, carpet and existing prefinish floor and hauled it away same day. they covered with plastic any areas that needed dust protection. Jeremy and team showed up next day and installed the flooring over 2 days and then coated the floor with poly over 3 days. I cannot tell you how outstanding the job was and the professional way everything was handled. There were no more charges after the estimate, and everything done on time. they even did the poly work over the weekend to keep my "out of house" time to a minimum.

We had our floors refinished and stained, its about 550 square feet total. I called and spoke with Jeremy and we set up an appointment for the next day, a Friday afternoon. He came over and measured the space and gave us three different quotes based on a few different finishing options. He took the time to thoroughly explain each process and gave us the pros and cons for each option. We were on a tight deadline, and he was able to work with us and start that Tuesday. The guys who did the work were very professional, polite and cleaned up after themselves. They were done in three days, with just enough time for us to move in two days later. The floors are stunning, they came out great, exactly what we wanted. We get compliments on the floors all the time! The price was definitely reasonable for the quality of work performed. I would recommend PHF to any of my friends and family.

They came out on the day they said they would and they were on time. They said it would take three days and it did. They were going to be 15 min. late one day and called us. We think that was really being considerate of us. When the job was complete, the floors looked terrific! They were very professional, proficient and very timely. We also felt the price was well worth the outcome. We have no complaints with this company and would have no problem using them again or recommending them to anyone.

We went with Pro Wood Floors after having seen the work Nick had done in my parents and both of my sister's houses. They were quick to respond to our inquiry and Jeremy was extremely professional when coming over to provide the estimate. Due to other work we had going on in the house, we had to push back the floors several times. Pro Wood Floors was continually accommodating with the shift in schedule and always responsive to our chaning needs. They estimated the work would take 3 days and it took 3 days. When I went to see the results, I was literally blown away. The floors in our house are original from 1927 and they look brand new. I can't say enough about the work Nick and his team did. Just beautiful. My husband and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend Nick without hesitation as well as use him again.
