This letter is written in regards to Criss of Pro Wood Floors, LLC as it relates to a sanding and refinishing project undertaken at our home. Criss’ preparation and attention to detail was evident throughout the project, from the initial consultation, to clean up and close out. Criss was extremely prompt, communicated clearly, and did exactly what he had promised. Criss’ workmanship is superior, and the final product far exceeded the quality of the original flooring in our home. He is great at visualizing the project, communicating options to a client, and executing his work. He is also flexible, and understands the importance of project progress. In sum, he is an excellent flooring contractor who understands the needs of his clients, and treats everyone with respect and honesty. We have absolutely no reservations about recommending Criss to anyone.

I called to obtain an estimate and to have the work done before moving into my house. I had two weeks in which the work had to be done before the movers came. Pro. Wood Floors came out to provide the estimate and work started within three days. The job entailed more manual labor than expected due to certain conditions in the house. They easily maneuvered around these unexpected situations, and the estimate did not waiver. Their clean-up was excellent. They were always polite and true to their word.

Not bad...solid B. If I kept a closer eye on them I would have gotten what I needed.

We didn't go with them. They didn't show up the first day and missed the first appointment. Otherwise, they were good. The price was a bit high.

Owner responded to my inquiry quickly. Came promptly and gave me an estimate. He agreed to do the job in one day(a Saturday), since I needed to move in ASAP. Crew arrived on time and finished in one(long) day. If I had the time, I would have done it in two. The floors look great. I would use them again. Issues: There was an open gap between the front door tread and the floor itself. I forgot to mention it to them, so it didn't get filled with any kind of wood filler. My fault really. Second, the sander wore away the bottom of the newels of the bannister. This is why I said if I had to do it over again I would do it in two days. I suspect they were pressed for time and weren't quite as careful as possible. Perhaps this is unavoidable- I'm not sure, as I haven't had floors done before. Not a huge deal, but I'll need to go back and touch up the paint- hopefully only I will notice where they are worn away. I neglected to ask if they take away their trash- and they don't. I went out to the driveway after they left to find 2 big contractors bags. One is so heavy I can't begin to lift it, so there they sit for now. I would much rather have paid a bit more and have them haul it away. Lastly, the workers left cigarette butts around my front porch. Again, they had a long day and it was late when they left, but I would have appreciated them putting the butts in a can and putting them in the trash. This is the reason for the B in professionalism- I would have said A- if it was an option, as it's not a huge deal. For the price and the fact they did the job in one day, these are minor issues to me. The floors look really great, and they were careful to get under all the tight spots.

I closed on my new condo on 6/21. At that time i decided I need to have my hardwood floors refinished. I called a few people in the phone book and received no response from anyone. A coworker suggested I check out Angie's list. I came across a few good recommendations for Professional Hardwood Floors. I called. Nick returned my call promptly. We played phone tag for a few days because I was not comfortable calling after hours. On Thursday, June 24th he came out to look at my floors. I was looking for someone to refinish the floors before my move in date of Tuesday 6/29. A totally unreasonable request. Nick and his team were able to accomodate my request. They worked Saturday and Sunday to finish my job. My refinished floors look wonderful. They were prompt, responsive and professional. I would definitely recommend them. They seem to have a booked calendar and I am grateful they were able to squeeze me into their schedule.

From the my initial contact, Nick returned calls promptly, was on time for meetings, and was very professional. The quality of work was high and the job was started and finished on time. Overall experience with this company and Nick in particular was excellent.

My contractor found these guys and this was the first big project after purchasing my first home. I am THRILLED to say that the experience was magnificent. What professionals! They came in, executed, finished and left the flooring looking like a masterpiece. I have never been a fan of wood floors, but now I certainly am. I was so excited to see the wood actually go down in the first two days and then to see all the sanding being done and, finally, the first coat of polyurethane. I was a bit concerned about whether the color was going to be what I really wanted on the finish, but these guys were prepared! They left with two wooden "swatches" at the end of the first coat and then I had a choice, so I went for the darker shade, still a bit nervous. When I saw the 2nd and then the 3rd coat, I knew that I was dealing with professionals. What a fabulous job??? and the cost (from what I understand) is beyond competitive! My contractor did not mark up these services because he is a friend, otherwise, one would expect to pay at least 30% more than I paid for the square footage when working with a contractor. Almost three months later, and after furniture has been moved in, the floors STILL look amazing! I will recommend this company freely and often for a fantastic job ... without a doubt, I am a happy customer!

My call was returned in a timely fashion and their representative gave a nicely detailed estimate of the work to be done. I pointed out a gouged board that I thought might need replacing but he said that it could be filled in. The three-man team was polite and very clean. They sanded the floors (and the rep told me honestly that some of the stains might not come completely out), vacuumed up and then started applying the poly. They used fans in between coats and the job was completed in one day. It looks beautiful...but the gouged area was filled in unsatisfactorily so they came out twice to fix it. I'm still not completely happy with the repair job...it needs more poly to blend in with the rest of the floor but it IS a small area. However, everything else looks just wonderful. Except for the small area, it looks great.

Outstanding job. They were able to begin the job the week I called them, the two workers were very professional and fast and they were able to sand out water damage and charred floor from fireplace sparks. The floor looks like new.
