it went well they came out to give us an estimate they called when they were going to come they came on time they did the work and they cleaned up very well I was satisfied.it was quite a large job with many trees involved.

The representative was very nice, professional and got back to me promptly. I found Savatree was much more expensive than 2 other providers so I did business with a different provider.

They did a good job. I paid an additional couple of hundred dollars. They did the work. They were on time. They were very polite and punctual.

They were pleasant, worked quickly and cleaned up. We already use Savatree for our tree care and have been very happy.

The service worked out fine. We'll have them do more work this spring time. They're an excellent company and we've used them before. They do our spraying of the trees. They're very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and we've been pleased with them in the past. We were happy to see the special deals.

Everything turned out fine. They were able to come out the next day after I purchased the big deal since I was kind of in an emegercy situation. There were three people here doing the work and it took about an hour and a half to complete. They broke up the branches and wood chipped them and left the wood for us.

In the end the was some confusion about billing , we were receiving bills after we had paid in full and it took a month or more to clear this up hence the B grade .

We opted not to have any work done because even after the Big Deal the price seemed a little high.

Bruce came out to give an estimate on all the trees in our yard (about 12) that need attention. We walked the yard for 45 minutes while I pointed out issues with each tree and Bruce gave me options on what to do for each. He is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and sincere. We decided to tackle the most pressing issues first, and wait until spring to take down other trees. As scheduled, the crew arrived, worked on the three trees, and left the yard clean upon completion. I thought one tree was not cut far enough away from the roof, so I emailed Bruce and asked him to take a look. He came out to the house the next day, assessed the tree, emailed me back, agreeing that another branch needed to be removed, and he had his crew back within a day or two to finish the job. Well done all around despite having to come back for that last branch. We'll definitely call Bruce in the spring to continue the work on our trees.

they came to try to sell other services for $2,500 and never did the fertilizer

I thought they were going to do a little bit more than what they actually did. They gave me an estimate and we went for a total of $2000 and we're stuck with that, $140 does nothing when it comes to tree work. They cut back 2 very large trees, one was an old tree and one was a beech tree. In the end, everything was good, there was a little mix-up on which branches they were taking off, it is the way that I had talked to the fellow that did the estimate so eventually they had called back to him and they took off the branches that I had. It was a misunderstanding between the person who'd done the estimate but that is the only issue I had in between, other than that everything went fine.

The service from this company was excellent. We purchased the service from Angies List on 10/12/13, had an email response that same day, and Carter Peck, Arborist, came on the following day (Sunday) to review the work we required and provided a very reasonable quote and date they could perform the work. My husband and I thought the job was going to cost a lot more than the quote. Today, Tuesday, the crew and Carter arrived at 8:00 a.m. and were respectful of our neighbors. Carter explained that they would do the chipping once all the work was completed as to not disturb the neighborhood. The crew went straight to work, and completed the job by 10:15 a.m. The work was excellent and they cleaned up the debris and took it away. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing this type of service and we will definitely use them again in the future.

This was a very up and down experience. I initially contacted save a tree for trimming several large trees and an old apple tree as well as information and control of apple cedar rust. The overall price was twice that of another company so I went with the other company for the large trees and decided to have save a tree treat and trim the apple tree since I had already purchased the Angies coupon with save a tree. The spraying of the apple tree was done very quickly. This was not covered by the coupon. It took about 6 weeks, several phone calls to get the crew there to trim the tree. Once there, the crew began trimming and dropping the branches onto my flowers. When i complained they said they couldn't do it any other way, I said that was unacceptable and they left the job. The arborist called shortly, got my side of the situation and offered to return later without the crew member causing the problem. From then on the job was done professionally and well. The arborist also provided me with a free fertilizer treatment for the trouble. Overall way too much hassle for a simple job.

The company contacted us very quickly after arranging for the deal through Angie's List. ($140 for $300 worth of tree service). Representative came out shortly thereafter to quote the project. A team of four (including a bucket truck) came to remove the trees; they were polite and quick -- the whole job probably took 20 minutes (tops) and they did not need/use the truck. I did not get any other quotes on the work, so I can't say how competitive the bid was, but I don't think I would have had them do the work for the full price of $745 ($585 + the $160 I saved through the deal).

Perfectly . Will use them again and again

I bought the house late last year, and the backyard was heavily wooded with about 40 trees, some in bad condition. The work was done in three visits, one each in July, August, and September. In late June, Sav-A-Tree's arborist, Mark V. came out and spent about an hour or more with me looking over the trees in the back yard and making recommendations. I decided to go ahead and have five of the worst problems done as soon as possible. The crew came on July 3, and did the work. I could stay from work home for part of the day, and so saw them at work, and they clearly had the right equipment and know how. The work was done well, and the yard was left in good condition. A "safari" treatment for the woody adelgid's was done in August. We have many hemlocks and this is an expensive treatment, but I don't want to lose the plants. Too soon to tell whether this has been effective. I was satisfied with their work, so had them come back in September to do the remainder of the work that Mark had recommended. This involved some of the largest trees, including a large oak overhanging a shed. The oak required a bucket truck, which they were able to maneuver into the backyard using a pole pruner to raise the house power line while the truck went under it. My wife was home that day, and thought the crew did a great job maneuvering the bucket thru the trees, and climbing others. The yard looks much better than it did in June. I didn't shop around for price, so I can't say where the price might compare to others. I took advantage of a $300 off deal from Angie's list initially. I was pleased with the work, and they showed up when expected and completed the work in each of the three visits. Mark, the arborist stopped by the day after the work was finished to see how it turned out.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked out pretty well. It was $1,000 and I had the coupon that covered $300 worth of work. They were professional and tidy in the work they did. They were out within a couple of hours. They came on a day when it was wet and they didn't tear up the yard and everything was cleaned up when they were gone. Overall I was pleased with them.

They were very professional and friendly. Unfortunately, the price was too expensive at this time.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went very good. They were very prompt and efficient. They contacted me and I made arrangements with them. They did what they said they were gonna do. They were very good. There were extra charges which I knew there would be because they came out and gave me an estimate so I could have different options of what I wanted to have done and I picked extra services and stuff. I paid a total of $535 including the $140 deal. I was happy. They chipped and took everything away, you wouldn't have known they were here. They were very professional. The guy who came out and did the estimate knew what he was talking about. he made good recommendations. He didn't try and oversell me. I would recommend them. I guess they are at least in line with everybody else.

The work was completed while I was away from home. But the damaged tree was gone when I returned, and the large older tree looks much better. Loose hangers from a few other trees were removed as well. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away (including pieces of the downed tree - there was a misunderstanding about whether it should be left or taken, but that part of the job is now complete). I would definitely use this firm again, since everything was clearly explained, each part of the job had a separate (reasonable) estimate, and the yard was left in better shape than before they started.

The estimate was 50% higher than the next higher bid. The rep that was sent for the estimate was more interested in selling other services than providing a tree trimming solution. Before he even looked at what I wanted done, he started selling me lawn services. Before he gave me an estimate, he asked me what the other quotes were. I'd not recommend these folks at all. They are a franchise and way too pricey and have less than above-board sales tactics.
