Academy Overhead Door

It was just a company that we looked them up in the book and found it.

I have two garage doors and used this service twice. Both times the garage door was working so poorly, that I disconnected the garage door opener and used them manually. After each service, the garage door openers worked like new and were a lot less noisy. One of the garage doors stopped working about a week later and they came out the next day for free to repair it. Great work, very professional technicians. I would highly recommend.

They said they could fix the door and take the dents out. All they did was hammer the dents back the other way; they did not fix the dents. They said if they did anymore, it would start breaking up. They did do a good job putting on new runners and wheels though. They were an hour late, and then they were in a hurry when doing the service. However, they were nice.

I was quoted a time between 11am-1pm. Two technicians arrived around noon and had all the work completed by 1pm. They were professional, and I did not feel pressured to buy anything. I would recommend Academy Overhead Door.

This provider was poor about communicating when we booked the estimate (they arrived an hour after the window and did not call to say they were still coming). They did not arrive within the 2 hour window for the install either, and again did not call until 15 minutes before the window ended. They were quick to replace the garage door opener and cleaned up after themselves. They were both kind people and did a good job explaining everything as they went along.

It took a total of three hours to do both. I would use them again.

The service turned just fine. Just one technician came out and it took him about an hour. He was polite and he did the job that I expected. The garage door works better and sounds better.

Academy Overhead Door did an outstanding job. The service technician checked the entire door and made adjustments, lubricated and tightened screws and bolts etc. He also recommended to my husband replacement of the roller parts for the tracks to provided smoother operation and noise reduction. My husband took him up on the offer and it made a drastic improvement in the operation and sound of the door going up and down. We were very pleased and will definitely call them again for our annual tune ups!

They did call before they arrived. Two men, one a trainee. Dressed & acted professionally. Very polite. They did NOT try to oversell. NOT pushy. Quickly accomplished the job.

We got a call to let us know in advance the service person was arriving. Braxton arrived on time, introduced himself, and set to work. He lubricated the tracks, frame and wheels, made sure all the bolts and fasteners were tight, tightened the chains a little, checked the springs, readjusted the sensors, and made sure everything was functioning properly. He checked the keypad, which had stopped working, and changed out the battery, which was the only problem; he also reset the code for us. He patiently answered all our questions, recommended some things we could do ourselves, and completed the work quickly and efficiently. We had had another overhead door company out to do maintenance a couple of years ago, and were much more impressed with the work this time.

I had a Big Deal. It went very well. They came out within days of purchasing the deal. I didn't pay anything additional. The guy was in and out of here in less than a half hour. It was a good price. Normally it is $100. It's been functioning better than it was before.

He was great and got it done pretty fast. He replaced the wheels which was making all the noise and then he oiled everything which made the garage door so much quieter. They were great

The technician did an outstanding job. The new rollers and tuneup allow the door to move up and down with much less noise. The new weather strip and any other adjustments has really done a great job on sealing the door, now when I have snow storms with wind i no longer see small piles of snow at the edges of the door. They did an awesome job and I would definitely use them again.

The service was fine. They came out just a few days after I purchased the Big Deal and there were no additional charges to the $39 Big Deal. They were very nice, punctual, did a good job, and worked fast.

He arrived within the specified two-hour window and seemed very competent and knowledgeable of his job. Didn't mind me hanging around and trying to pick up some tips for some of the things I can do myself next time. Was careful around my classic car in the garage. I'm pleased with the service and results!

It went great, the technician showed up on time and was very professional. He not only tuned up the door but he also showed m how to change to key pad code along with re-coding the garage door openers themselves. I like to do things myself so I am a big fan when technicians show me how to do it myself so I might not need to call them back the next time. I will hire them again.

The cost was reasonable. The technician called and was here right on-time and pointed out the broken spring right away. He was back within an hour with spring and replaced it within 30 minutes.

Garage door spring broke late Saturday and we called and left message. Received call back on Sunday and appointment scheduled for Monday 10-12. Braxton was there before 10, analyzed repair problem, offered estimate (including Angie's List discount which is where we read about the company and their awesome reviews) and also recommended upgrades if wanted. Braxton was a first yet detailed tech and friendly guy as well. We have used Overhead Door in the past but they can be a bit pompous--we will now use Academy Overhear Door for our needs and recommend them to our friends and neighbors as well!

It's working fine. It was good and it still works. I recommend them to do garage door repairs.
