Steve showed up at the scheduled time. He was very personable and professional. He knows his job very well and I'm very satisfied with the work he performed. I would certainly use him again and recommend him highly.

Really well...we were very pleased with the professionalism, punctuality and overall we were very satisfied with the end product.

Due to an improperly installed safety hand rail an approximately 15 sq ft area of tile in my main bath began sloughing down the wall. So as not to incur any further damage/mold I have been forced to bath/shower in my downstairs walk-in shower for months. I contacted Mr Steve Steffey with The Grout Medic to get an appraisal of work required to repair the damage. That appointment was set for 28 May 2013 at 1630. He arrived promptly on time, was courteous, in a company polo shirt and very polite. Previous visits from other non Angie's list referrals all had quoted much more than what I needed done - up to and including total bathroom remodels. Mr Steffey quoted $812.00 to do exactly what was needed to repair the damage as seen on the wall - how refreshing! (That price was arrived at after a 10% Angie's list discount + a 5% military discount) Mr Steffey set a work date of 7 June with the possibility of returning on 8 June 2013. He told me he would arrive at 0830, which he did. He had one helper through the day. They laid covers out on the floors and over the tub. They removed and cleaned the tiles that were in the affected 15 sq ft section. Any particleboard and insulation that remained behind the tiling was removed, discarded and replaced. Mr Steffey then installed additional 2"x4" bracing to attach the safety hand rail to properly. He then shimmed all the bracing to insure that when he attached the cement board that the result would be a flat surface to apply the tiles to. The space was re-insulated and then closed by 1/2" cement board. Mr Steffey mudded the seams of the cement board, cleaned up his work area for the day and left at 1600. He advised me that he would return the next day at 1400 to finish the job. On 8 June Mr Steffey arrived at 1330. He again began by laying out covers on the floors and over the tub. Mr Steffey and I discussed the placement of replacement tiles I had provided for the job. Mr Steffey laid out tiles onto the cement board then re-grouted all of the tile work. Following that, he sealed the grout and buffed the tiles. Last, but not least, Mr Steffey, installed a 58" composite base trim between the tub and the vinyl floor. Mr Steffey advised me to allow 2 full days for the grout to cure before using the shower/bath. I am very satisfied with the work done by Mr Steffey, The Grout Medic. He was here on-time, worked the whole time he was here and delivered the work he promised. What more could anyone ask for? He is a very pleasant man, who obviously cares about the work he does. I recommend The Grout Medic to anyone needing this same kind of work done without hesitation - Mr Steffey is truly top notch! Thank you so much Sir!

Steve arrived on time and accomplished the work that he had estimated within the time he had allotted. Very professional. Cleaned up after the job. Highly recommended. We couldn't be more pleased with what he did and plan to have him do additional work in a couple of years.

I had a really good experience with The Grout Medic - El Paso County. He did a really nice job cleaning and offered a warranty on his service. I was really pleased with it.

First of all, I had been procrastinating for a few years on what I knew would take me probably 4 days to do on my own. I have re-grouting and re-caulking experience and had done this on our master shower. Now, it was time for our upstairs secondary bathroom to be done. I didn't think anyone would be as meticulous as me with my own shower. But, after thinking it over for a few months, I decided to consider hiring an outside source. Steve won me over when he came over to do the inspection and estimate. I was very happy with the cost, and we booked the appointment for the next week. Steve showed up on time. He's very personable and a pleasure to be around. He worked straight thru for 6+ hours. During that time, he took out all the old grout with a hand tool, re-grouted, sealed the grout, and re-caulked my secondary bathtub shower. I couldn't believe how brand new it looked. I could not have done that great of a job. He also replaced a few lines of grout and caulk in the master shower, which I had re-done about 12 years ago. He also re-caulked around the two sinks in the master bathroom, as well as my kitchen sink. The quality was above and beyond what I could have done, or what I have seen other professionals do. i used to think I wanted to pull out all the tile and grout and replace it with something else that was less of a hassle to deal with when it starts to crumble. But, I think differently now. Knowing that I can rely on Steve to come out and fix any issue I have, at a reasonable price, I no longer mind the tile and grout. In fact, now it's very attractive to me. Steve did a great job cleaning up and was protective of my carpet and floors. I will be letting my HOA/neighborhood know about Steve.

Steve was curteous, nice, prompt and did a FANTASTIC JOB. The bathrooms look like new!!! We were very pleased with the outcome and very pleased with the price. We would use him again and recommend him to anyone!

Professional, prompt and very thorough. It's been 7 years since we moved into the new house and I've been dreading doing this job for the past several years. I finally bit the bullet and hired someone and am I glad I did - there's no way I could've done as good a job as they did. The tile was steam cleaned before it was sealed and the caulking looked better than new.

He was very prompt, courteous, and he was very careful to keep my house clean. He responded very quickly to my calls. He was incredibly pleasant and polite. He is a long time local resident, which meant a lot to me. People in smalls town like to give local residents their business. I would highly recommend him!

Steve had done work for us in our previous home and we hired him to do this project because of his outstanding work before. Our tile in the floor of our shower was starting to crack and degrade. The seam between the shower floor and the wall was doing the same (grout/calk was beginning to crumble and erode). When we initially called, Steve was sharp and attentive, making an appointment with us for two days later. He came out, did a detailed estimate and laid out the options for what we could do to remedy the problem. He came back later that week to do the work and took his time and did a terrific job. The shower looks (and works) like new. Steve's attention to detail, affordable cost, friendliness, professionalism and expertise is why we will only hire him in the future when we need this type of work done. Plus, we will be referring him to our family and friends as well. Thank you Steve!

The Grout Medic saved my bathroom. He really knew what he was doing. I was so pleased. He came on time and was neat. He didn't mess up the whole house tracking through. I thought that what he did was reasonable. He was expensive but I don't care.

He came by as promised to give an estimate, and his office called to let us know what kind of a vehicle he was driving. His estimate was very reasonable, and he agreed to do some minor work that we also needed. Without my even asking, he gave a $50 discount for the job plus 5% off for Angie's list, which I had mentioned. He impressed us with his professionalism and knowledge, as well as his conscientiousness. We agreed for him to come on two different days. He came as planned on the first day, and did a stellar job on our shower. It looks brand new. He gave us instructions not to use it for 24 hours. The second day, he called before the appointment time to let me know he was running 20 minutes late and came when he said he would. He did another great job on our tub, installed a baseboard on it, and caulked everywhere it needed it, including our sinks. He did the same on another sink in a different bathroom (free) and in another shower. Both times he left no mess behind him. He was pleasant and cheerful, professional, competent, and happily answered the questions I had when I came in and watched him work. We will be recommending him to our friends.

Very professional, from the first quote to the job finish. Extremely well done, and looked like new. Some excess dust had to be cleaned from all the surfaces in the bathrooms, but no more than expected. They happily honored the Angie's List discount. Would definitely call them again if I need grout or tile work.

He was quick and did very good work. He cleaned up his work area. Before he came out, they called to tell us who would be coming and a description of his van. If we had any question about his identity to call and verify. Overall an excellent experience and out tub looks like new!

Fantastic job - meticulous and detail-oriented

We contacted the Grout Medic for a free estimate of the work needed after checking Angie's List for well-rated companies. The Grout Medic representative, Mr. Steve Stefffey, was right on-time for the estimate and I found him very personable and professional. He spent about thirty minutes inspecting the work needed, pointing out some areas which I had overlooked. Once done, he left a written estimate. When I phoned to accept the Contract, Mr. Steffey advised he could do the work within a week. We agreed on a date, and again he was right on time to perform the work. It took about 3.5 hours and we were very pleased with the results. Steve and his assistant were very careful in our home and cleaned-up thoroughly after the work. Everything was done very professionally;I would hire him again for such work. Steve is a very easy to work with and knows his business!
