Description of Work: Our large microwave blew its fuse after sparking. He lifted it out (too heavy for me)and quickly diagnosed the problem. The turn table had been off center and scraped the sides until the protective covering was rubbed off. He advised me to use clear nail polish to protect against future problems in case we or the cleaners do not properly center the turn table.

Description of Work: Changed the sensor in the Whirlpool dryer that has been a problem for years. It now works great

Description of Work: Tech from Aspen called to get some info on the problem and potential solutions. After talking through the problem, the age of the fridge, and the parts needed, we determined that it would not be worth fixing and that a replacement would be best. I appreciated his time and his honesty about the situation. While I had to go out and buy new appliance, at least I did not waste any money on trying to repair a lost cause.

Description of Work: Hired Aspen Appliance to perform preventative maintenance (PMI) on my washer, drier, and refrigerator. Near the end of 2 hour appointment window, I called to find out if they were still coming since I didn't receive a confirmation call nor email prior to my original appointment setup call, and didn't want to wait for a No Show as I've experienced in the past with other service providers. Kevitt answered and was defensive that I called saying he was still in his two hour window. Kevitt showed up in last 5 minutes of 2 hour appointment window, still acting defensive. He tested the washer, vacuumed the drier and refrigerator, and left within 45 minutes of arrival. It appeared to me he was more concerned about rushing through the job than ensuring my satisfaction that my appliances were operating efficiently. No belt adjustments or replacements, no lubrication (he said not recommended for my drier), and no testing to ensure quite operation. My drier is still making a loud noise, even after the PMI. Kevitt appeared to know his job, but needs more customer friendliness and thoroughness.

Description of Work: Came to professionally clean my major appliances, and found a broken fan on my refrigerator that was causing it to overheat. Ordered the part and returned early the next week, putting the cost of the coupon toward labor. The only extra thing I had to pay for was the actual part.

Description of Work: Initially had Aspen come in for a $99 deal to checkout and cleanout dishwashers, fridge/freezer compressors and garbage disposal per the deal offered on Angie's list. In doing so I discussed to dishwasher problems which he was immediately able to identify what the problems were and provide me an estimate for the work. Once the parts were available he made a timely appointment to complete the work. I was quite satisfied and will continue to use Aspen in the future.

Description of Work: I signed up for the "big deal" offered by Aspen Appliance Repair on July 17; I paid in advance for service via PayPal. I was notified that the provider would contact me by July 22. No contact followed. I was asked by Angie's List if the provider had contacted me on July 23. I answered "no" and requested assistance on the form I was sent. On July 25, I was again asked by Angie's List if I had been contacted; again, the answer was "no" and I filled out the form again asking for assistance. No contact was made by July 29 and so I called and was given an apology and sent this form. Thus, a refund is requested.

Description of Work: The app't time was punctual and Kevin checked out the problem by spinning the washer down and was able to determine the cause, and proceeded to tell me the cost to repair and I decided to not have it fixed. He made sure this is what I wanted done and told me to please call if I had any questions. I paid his service call fee, and he left.

Description of Work: I contacted the service provider and told him what I needed repaired. He told me the range was very old and wasn't sure he could get the part, but would make a call and get back to me. He promptly called me back and unfortunately the part was $85.00 and the deal was $89.00 so my husband and I just found that it was ridiculous to pay $85.00 for a part on a range we've had for 20 years when it was only a broken knob.

Description of Work: Have used Kevitt for a number of problems over the years. Always a great job at reasonable prices. Latest was Trash Compactor with busted gear motor. Price includes parts he had to order.
