Called company, based on recommendations from this list. Person who answered asked all necessary and pertinent questions regarding possible location of drain leak, age and manufacturer of shower hardware. Set work date/time that was convenient for me. Gary, the technician, arrived on time. Located the leak, with minimal wall/ceiling removal, repaired pipe. Cleaned all areas following completion of repair. Shower valve stems removed, inspected-replaced valve seats and washers as we are planning to remodel the shower/bathroom in the near future. Also had Gary replace the shower head control valve (which has not worked properly in years). My husband was thrilled to have a completely working shower!!!! All work was well done and to my satisfaction. Will definitely call Action Plumbing for any future plumbing!!

They really are a good outfit. I think their service calls are $75. I would rate them highly. I plan to use them again.

Gary completed all work as promised. All work is performing well. The lavatory sink developed a flaw, probably wasn't visible until the water was on it. He came back and replaced it with a different sink with no hassle, so they seem to stand behind their work as a reputable company should. He pointed out a few issues we may have with the existing plumbing that we may need to address some day. They charge hourly rather than on a flat rate. For the work performed, I think the cost was very reasonable. I had the exact same kind of sink replaced in a different house 12 years ago. It cost more then, without the other tasks this job entailed. I would definitely use them again.

They were very good. The telephone contact was good and they asked good questions which led me to call the appliance store and make sure that we were on track with the right stuff. They were knowledgeable and pleasant to work with, and the man that came out was respectful. It was a bit of a challenging day for him to come out because it was getting really cold and nasty, but he just kept it up and did what he was supposed to do. The price was within the range that people told me to expect. They were very responsive and he was right on time both times. I will absolutely use them again.

Highly satisfied. Very responsive in terms of quickly fitting us in to their schedule. Plumber arrived on time, was very professional and very polite and friendly. Quickly assessed and resolved our initial problem, and with the time left-over associated with the flat rate charge, was able to attend to several other minor things. Also gave me some valuable tips and advice, on an upcoming project. Overall, very impressed by the quality of the work. Will use them again if we need plumbing help.

This is the second time we used Action. Once again, we are very happy with the results. They tapped into our house water line and ran it out to our barn about 120 feet away. Then they installed two freeze-proof outdoor faucets to provide water for horses in the winter. Work was done quickly and they are willing to go the extra mile to get it done right. We would use them again for any plumbing work.

The technician was running late and he called to let us know. When he arrived he was pleasant and went right to work. He gave us advice as he surmised the situation. We chose to add replacing a cracked fitting and adjacent cracked pipe. He gave us an option of two different sink garbage disposals that he carried. He told us what the pluses and minuses of both were and we made a choice based on cost and quality. After replacing the garbage disposal and replacing the broken fitting and pipe adjacent from the second sink he looked at the dishwasher. He noticed by doing an abbreviated cycle that it began to fill again for a split second after draining. He also checked that it was draining by the sound in the drain pipe. He helped us to level it some, and we checked to see if that would help it to drain. We left it as an appliance issue.

I had hired another plumber to take care of this. he was to do it a week after he came out and looked at it. He didn't show up for 2 weeks so I called Action. I talked with the owner about my needs and he told me the guys would be there at 8:00 AM the next day. Ben and Arie showed up at 8:00. I showed them what I needed and they said it was a tough job, but they had seen worse. They both worked till 3:00. cleaned up and made sure I was happy with everything. OUTSTANDING!!!. I don't want to sound like a cheerleader for these guys, but I am a contractor and would love for my guys to always have the positive attitude that these guys had. I got the bill 2 days later and it was Very Fair. $350 in parts and the rest for what those guys did was a great value.

I was originally looking for a point-of-use water heater (mini-tank or tankless) for my kitchen so that I would have instant hot water. I was wasting about two gallons of water and having to wait for it to get hot because the water heater is so far from the kitchen. Dick came over and after looking at the house recommended a hot water recirculation system. I had heard of those for commercial buildings but didn't know they had them for homes. I am so happy with it because it benefits not just the kitchen, but the master bathroom and laundry room too. Now one cup of water and it is fully hot! The small recirculation pump is on a timer so there is no unnecessary energy loss. The guys that did the work were very professional and nice. They are not cheap, but everything was first class. I would use Action Plumbing again and recommend them to others.

My experience with them was fine. They were very prompt. I sent them an email, and they called me back probably in less than half an hour. They sent a person out that day; I liked their promptness. The shower was unfixable, and I had to replace it. I had to pay the service fee of $84; I have not had a plumber for 20 years, so I don’t have anything to compare their price to. They did a good job and gave me some information about where to look for a shower and that type of stuff. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

clogged toilet, suspect drain pipe (1924 house), replaced the toilet with world's cheapest quality toilet, everything is fine now. 1 hour labor in total. DON'T TALK TO GARY ABOUT POLITICS.

There isn't much to tell and what there is is all good. Gary, the plumber, showed up on time, was professional in appearance and demeanor, explained what needed to be done, then got about doing it. This company bills on a time and materials basis so if a job requires more time because the work area is cramped, things have to be moved, etc., you will pay more; conversely there is no pressure to rush a job as can happen in a flat-rate billing company. He took care of the surrounding area and picked up after himself. The job took 1.5 hours to complete, plus parts. This was my first time using this company and based on this experience I would not hesitate to use them again.

UPDATE: Had to have them come back 6 days later because the job wasn't done properly. The toilet wasn't put back on it's flange correctly and when everything backed up because of the roots again, it even came from under the toilet! Ew. Action came back - the same technician as well, and did eventually get the job done. But not before going UP the vent pipe with the cutter and onto our roof and UP through our other toilet scratching the porcelain. The technician was being extra chatty - and charging us all the while. My husband and I are attempting to converse with them about the extra $450 they are charging us for doing the same job twice, but communication isn't going so well. Will update again when billing is resolved. --------------------- We have a classic 1955 home in midtown Fort Collins... which means we have ROOTS. Lots and lots and lots of roots. We have to have them cleaned out a few times a year, and this time we went with Action due to their outstanding rating here on Angie's List. We were not disappointed! Even with a full schedule, they were able to squeeze us in the same day! Boy, did I appreciate it! Everett came out right on time and got to work. We don't have any "clean outs", so he had to take out the toilet and clear out everything from there. He was so polite and friendly - our three dogs loved him! He was here about 1.5 hours and was very thorough. He also cleaned everything up and left our bathroom cleaner than it was before he got here! He even asked for a broom to clean the hallway where he thought he might have left some grass from his shoes! Bottom line: WONDERFUL company with wonderful employees. I recommend asking for Everett personally - you won't regret it! This will be an ongoing problem for us until we can afford a more permanent solution. We WILL be using Action again!

The job went very well. I initially asked for an estimate and Dick came out exactly when he said he would. He looked over everything thoroughly and gave me a fair bid. After that, we sheduled an appoinment to have the work done and Dick and his crew came out (again, on time). They went right to work and, in no time at all, had the job completed. Everything was done professionally and with no problems.

They had to go through the drain from my house to the street and back. They discovered that the problem was that there wasn't enough water flushing through the pipes to the sewer. Because of all the "water saving" appliances the waste water wasn't enough to flush out the pipes, allowing a "dam" to form. My neighbor moved out recently and they were sharing the drain and without their water flushing out I started having the problems. They were able to clear out the drain for me and now everything is working fine. I would recommend them to anyone. They were very professional and friendly.

He is just a great guy. He is honest. He showed up and did a great job. I didn't have any problems whatsoever. He was the fourth or fifth plumber whom I had called to bid on that job. He was just so nice. It is a great company to work with and I would use him again.

Called in morning for service and Action Plumbing was at the house in a few hours. The guy they sent was great - super nice, knowledgeable and informative. Fixed issues within an hour. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Ariived quickly, for a holiday weekend. Did the work quickly and thoroughly. Since there was still time left on the 1 hour minimum, cleared another drain.

This is the second time I've used Action, both times they were able to respond very quickly. Everyone I've dealt with has been very professional, pleasant, and sometimes downright funny. They presented me with options when one of my two water heaters went out, and helped me decide to go with the indirect water heater. They were able to come earlier than expected to install it, which made my tenants very happy.

Had a freezeless outside faucet that had frozen during the Jan 2011 deep-freeze, didn't discover until checking prior to deploying hoses for the season (no continuous leak). Damaged unit was in crawlspace, at least 30 feet from access. Made appointment for 2 days hence, was given 2-hour window. Gary arrived early, but not without letting me know he could/would. Got the job done quickly & efficiently, he only had to crawl under twice. He was very friendly, answered all my questions, even showed me how to fix another leaky outdoor faucet with packing. The charge for labor was flat rate for first hour, which wasn't exceeded - it was very reasonable to me. Was not charged anything extra for travel time, even though the shop was roughly 18 miles away - presumably his previous job was nearby. Markup on replacement faucet/valve unit (which appears to be a Woodford Model 17 with vacuum-breaker), which he had with him, was totally acceptable. Used a $10-off coupon off Angie's List, which had passed expiration, but the office called and let me know it was okay to use it, when returning my call with confirmation of appointment.

Great - Gary was polite, showed up on time and got the work done effectively.
