 + -1 moreAction plumbing and heating was called on short notice to fix a leaking coupling on the water main to our home. The leak was discovered on a day we were to go out of town. We called Action and they said they could have someone out in 2 hours. Their people actually showed up about an hour earlier (though not before calling to let us know they were coming). Both men were extremely friendly and professional. They outlined the scope of the job and approximately how much it would cost. The work was performed quickly and exactly as they said it would be. I would use this company again in a heartbeat!

 + 0 moreContacted Action along with some other plumbers. Action was the most responsive in terms of providing a quote and explaining the details of the quote. The two guys that came to perform the work were courteous, professional, and respectful of our home. They explained what they were going to do and how they were going to do it. After the work was completed they showed me the final results and performed tests for any possible leaks. After the work was completed, Debbie in the office contacted me regarding a rebate that Action was going to complete on my behalf with one of the local utilities. Action was great to work and I will use them again.

 + 0 moreBased on the great Angie's list reviews, I called Action to check out a leaky hot water heater. They arrived within 30 minues of my initial call. Upon inspection and discussion with the tech (Gary) it was decided that I would replace the whole unit (since mine we almost 12 yo). Another team (Ari & Matt) came out a few hours later, and performed the job flawlessly. They were polite, quick and very efficient. They took all the right precautions (wearing booties, laying tarps, etc) to keep my house clean. I couldn't have asked for better service. The new water heater looks great!!
Description of Work: I had corrosion & water leak on my hot water heater. Upon inspection, it was decided that replacement would be best. Ari & Matt performed like a well oiled machine. They removed the old unit and installed a new one.

Description of Work: We woke up at about 7am on a Saturday to find that the drain in the basement by the furnace was backed up and there was at least an inch of water on the floor. After consulting Angie's List we called Action Plumbing and were informed that the tech was really busy that morning; we'd have to wait probably three hours. About two hours later the tech called us to let us know he was on his way. Ben was not only extremely courteous and professional but he took the time to explain what the issue was. The drain covering was pretty much rusted to the floor so he even asked our permission before trying to remove it in case it fell apart! (it didn't :) )

 + 2 moreWe are selling this home. We had the hot water heating system checked by Action in September and 'certified' for the season. The buyer had an inspection done and the inspector didn't recognize the air bleed valve as being present and operating. We asked Action to come back and check the system again. They even replaced the old air bleed valve with a new one so there would be no question one was present. The service was timely and well done.
Description of Work: Checked out the hot water heat boiler and replaced an automatic air bleed valve.

The plumber called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way, and was punctual, friendly, and professional. I have had many plumbers work on various things in my house, and this was by far the best experience, and will definitely call them in the future. What really stood out for me was that I did not feel like they were trying to nickel and dime me. They were honest with their quote, and I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

The job turned out to be much bigger than originally planned because there was a leak in the adjacent sprinkler equipment that we never knew was there until they dug the 5 foot hole in the ground. Dick and Everett came out on a bitter, nasty day to get the job done before freezing weather set in. Every time they fixed one leak, another popped up because our sprinkler system had been installed with junky parts, and a shoddy job was done. They did a fantastic job! I have used Action many times and recommend them to everyone I know. They are always dependable, teach me new things, and once they fix something, it stays fixed.

 + -1 moreI got three estimates for having a gas line installed in order to have a gas stove. The basement was finished, so it was going to be a little tricky. Two of the estimates made it sound like it was going to be a very difficult job that might include cutting into the finished ceiling in the basement. The estimate from Action Plumbing didn't exaggerate the difficulty and in addition, I was impressed that the estimator, Dick, used calculations to determine whether our existing gas lines had the capacity to handle the additional draw of a gas stove and oven, something that the other two didn't mention. Their estimate was very reasonable and the actual work met the estimate exactly. While they were here I asked them to install a garbage disposal which they did with no problem. The price bumped up slightly for that additional time. The actually threading of the gas line was a snap and didn't involve any complications or cutting of the ceiling. The technicians were prompt, courteous and professional. I would definitely call Action Plumbing again. They did professional work for their exact estimate, on time.

 + -1 moreI had called a different plumber first and he said he would have to re-plumb, cut through my new cabinets and wall claiming it was plumbed for a shallow sink- other company quoted me $400 to install and $600 to re-plumb. Action plumbing did an excellent job charging only $200.
Description of Work: I was very pleased with the service. Very knowledgeable and professional. A different company told me it would cost $1000 to install a new faucet and garbage disposal. That's when I went to Angie list and found ActionPlumbing-everything works great- i would use them again, for sure.

He accomplished the mission of clearing out the roots. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely call Action Plumbing, and recommend them to others.

 + -1 moreThe price was a lot better than the other bids & it was all done with copper. The competition really pushed hard for PEX, and some wouldn't do copper, saying it's cost prohibitive. Somehow, Action beat their estimates with PEX, even though Action used all copper. I'm not completely sold on PEX, but Action did have it as an option. I felt confident I wasn't getting sold things I didn't need. Dick was also open to the option of me doing some parts of the job to cut the costs (In the past, I dug a hole so their crew wouldn't have to... saved me a few hundred bucks.) They did a really thoroughjob & the crew was extremely pleasant & professional. My only issue was that it took quite a while to set up the estimate & then to set up a date for the actual work, but it was well worth the wait. Great company. I highly recommend.
Description of Work: We had a complete re-pipe of the house interior and out to the municipal water supply (all done with copper pipes). Our old galvanized steel pipes (from around 1950) were getting rusted-in and we were losing water pressure, so they had to go. About 3/4 of the company came by on a Tuesday to do the whole replacement. Our house is concrete slab on grade. Action has their own excavator, so Dick & some of the crew dug down and under the house to bring the new piping up through the kitchen floor. They dug a trench all the way to the street (under a sidewalk along the way) to connect to the water main. They would've had a chance to pull the new pipe through by connecting it to the old pipe, but it didn't work out in our case. They had the trench re-filled by noon. Inside the house, they disconnected all of the old galvanized steel and ran the new copper pipes from the kitchen to the bathroom (done inside the house rather than underground like the old (& bizarre) set-up). We finally got a main water shut off, along with individual shut offs for the sinks. We also got a new exterior hose bib and a bathroom faucet.

She found someone to come out the same day - within a couple of hours. The plumber himself, Everett, was extremely friendly and personable and competent. He took the time to explain everything he was doing, which was helpful. I gave only C for price, because $98 (we used an Angie's coupon) seemed a lot to tighten a bolt... but I am *not* complaining.
