Description of Work: I contracted with this service, but didn't hear back from the provider for over two weeks. I initiated the follow through, not the locksmith. I think if I hadn't contacted him again, I might never had heard from him. When he finally did the work, it was good and at the contracted price.

Description of Work: Locksmith came to the house. Was there for an hour or less. Did no work. He got a call saying his daughter had been in a car accident and he had to leave. Said he would call later. Never called. I called four times and left a message. Never received a return call. It's been over a week and I give up. Not using this guy ever again.

Description of Work: James was awesome. A+. Replaced deadbolts and knobs on 4 doors with Schlage locks for $300. I'll definitely use him in the future.

Description of Work: James rekeyed all the locks in my house, deadbolts and doorknob locks. He repaired the locking jam/mechanism on my front door, and made 6 copies of the keys. He was polite, prompt, and very communicative. I highly recommend this service.

Description of Work: Made my first purchase using Angie's list from an offer being highlighted by Angie's list for a whole home rekey plus keys for $90.00 on 1 April 2013. I called James Phifer within the hour of the purchase, gave details, number of locks, etc,. Appointment was made for 4 April 2013 10:00am. That Friday came and at 10am James did not show. I called, no answer, left message with my details. Noon rolled around and still no James Phifer or call, I called again, no answer, left message with details, Job no, coupon code, phone number, address, etc,. Still nothing. Friday came and went and no service. Called this morning from my cell phone (a different number) answered right away, was apologetic, said had an emergency. Would have been fine if I had been notified of the situation and rescheduled. A no show, no call, no action is not impressive for an ad on Angie's list with high marks.

Description of Work: This one service call was worth the price of Angie's membership. We were closing on our house and needed the locks changed around 6 pm after the closing. Had 5 locks rekeyed and also had two keys made for locking screen doors - all for $67. Amazing service and price!

Description of Work: I purchased an Angies List "Big Deal" for Locksmith services to have all of the locks of my new house changed. I was there at the time that we set (we haven't moved in yet, I rushed with my 2 children to be there on time). I waited an hour and called him multiple times, and got his voicemail. It is now 3 days later and he still hasn't returned my calls. I ALREADY PAID FOR THIS SERVICE. Now, I am going through the process with Angie's List to get my money refunded! I'm very annoyed. Do not use this locksmith.

Description of Work: We received a re key of two locks. They arrived on time and worked quickly. Overall an excellent job. I was even able to order a new lock to be added on site. It was very kind of the company to accommodate my needs. I would use them again for sure.

It allowed me to have a specific number of locks re-keyed but his price was so reasonable I ended up having all of the locks in my home re-keyed (7 locksets). His work was quick, accurate and highly skilled. Any mess he made adjusting some of my doors he cleaned up. He was very pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend Phifer Locksmith Service to anyone needing their locksets re-keyed, new keys other security hardware installed. Very pleasant and quick - I was very impressed.
