Phifer Locksmith Service

I bought a deal on Angie's List and scheduled an appointment for two weeks from the day I called. He was punctual and worked quickly.

Mr. Phifer (I have forgotten his first name) had to reschedule our first appointment, but he called in plenty of time and it was easy to find another time that would work for both of us. He arrived ahead of time, zipped through the work, did the extra key-making in his van and charged me less than I thought he was going to for his Angie's List special. It took longer than I thought, but that's because I'd never had it done before and didn't know...he was definitely working quickly. I would use his service again. One thing I would mention is that re-keying locks requires that you have the key that opens them. I did, so there was no problem, but I hadn't known that. It might be something to mention in his ads.

It worked out well. I was extremely pleased and impressed with the fact that he was available on the weekend the complete the work.

James arrived promptly. We discussed the most cost-effective approach to changing the locks on my 4 exterior and garage-facing doors. James re-keyed 2 locks on each door. I requested 4 duplicate keys in all, though he would have provided more. All of this work was included in the price noted above -- as part of a promotion offered through Angie's List. James is an honest, skillful and fair professional. I highly recommend him if you require locksmith services.

We were able to contact them to schedule an appointment quickly. The price was very reasonable. They were friendly and professional. The only problem we have is that the key in the front door sticks a bit, but we didn't think it was a big enough issue to call them back out. We would use them again.

James rekeyed all 6 of my current locks, and installed new locks as well as sold me a double deadbolt for my screen door. His professionalism and eagerness to answer my questions and provide me the best service was awesome. I look forward to calling him again for my backyard locks.

On time and in fact he was early. Did the work very quick and I would use them again.

We had many mismatched locks and keys that did not work. He did an efficient and very reasonable job. He needed to reschedule due to a family emergency and was willing to come on a weeked with no extra charge. I would definitely recommend his company and the work he performed.

I purchased the Angie's List Deal to have 5 locks rekeyed for $49. I also had 3 door knobs with locks that I wanted installed. I expected to pay extra because I actually had 10 total locks to be rekeyed, plus 3 door knobs to be installed. Mr. Phifer arrived exactly the minute he said he would, rekeyed all of the locks and installed all of the door knobs. On top of that, he realigned an exterior door lock that was not closing properly - something neither a previous locksmith or handyman said they could fix. And then Mr. Phifer didn't want to charge me anything extra for all the extra work he did. I insisted on giving him some extra money anyway. He was very professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend him.

Phifer Locksmith Service was difficult to contact and had several issues that didn't allow the service to be performed in a reasonable time from the purchase date. When the service was performed, Phifer Locksmith Service was close to arriving on time. They re-keyed four locks and provided four keys. They also tightened the lock and door knob on one door without being asked. I was extremely happy with the work they did.

Called Phifer Locksmith. James the owner answered and was extremely professional and polite. He was able to come out the next day at 5pm - he arrived early, he did outstanding work, and he went the extra mile in fixing a couple doors that weren't quite latching correctly. He also installed a metal plate reinforcement on one of my doors. Can't say enough about him and the level/quality of service I received... absolutely phenomenal. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Our experience was great. I had purchased a deal on Angie's list for Phifer, which cost $50 for rekeying 5 locks. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was able to schedule an appointment within a couple of days during a time that worked for us. On the day of the scheduled service he called early and asked if he could come early since he was in the neighborhood and had finished his previous job. Of course I was thrilled about this since it was a Friday afternoon. He did an excellent job and got the job done as quickly as possible. We strongly recommend Phifer and would use them again!

He was great, arrived early, very pleasant, worked diligently on some difficult locks. He was very professional and left his card in case of any problems. I would definitely call him again with any lock problems.

Everything went smoothly. He arrived on time, and got right to work. He replaced 12 locks in my home very quickly.

This was a fantastic experience. He came over, rekeyed the locks in a half hour. He also helped reposition a lock on our shed for free. Couldn't recommend more strongly.

We paid for the deal in the morning and by afternoon the tech came and quickly re-keyed three locks so that they are all the same. He said he was very busy that day but we could not have asked for faster response time. Very high recommendation!

I closed on my house Friday, and purchased the $50.00 5-lock rekey special from Angie's list. He arranged to meet me the next day (Saturday). He showed up exactly on time , expertly rekeyed all the locks in my new home, and installed a new deadbolt for about $35 including the lock. I couldn't be happier with the workmanship and his professionalism, and I do highly recommend his company.

They called us right back, and were able to set up an appointment very quickly. Over the phone he was able to figure out that the lock brand we had on the other doors was the problem: they are not compatible with the brand we had on the front and encouraged us to go check out locks at the hardware store to make sure we could get the colour and style that we liked. We did and when he came, he installed and rekeyed all of the doors for us, taking the time to make sure everything was done correctly! (He even had a funny gadget to make sure that the door holes were drilled straight and clean, which some of them had not been originally) Overall, he spent about 2.5 - 3 hours working on our doors, so for $50, (plus $100 for the new locks at Home Depot) I'd say it was pretty darn good value over all! Especially impressive, he took the time to chisel out the door plates and made sure that the doors all closed without rubbing or any friction. I love it! I can close all of those doors with a finger and hear them close with a nice click! (Its the small things in life!)

James is my hero!! We recently purchased an income/rental property. In getting it ready to rent we wanted to have the doors re-keyed. Estimates from other companies were between $12.00 - $15.00 per cylinder plus a $60.00 service call to come to the property. Phipher lock and key came up on my search as a "Big Deal". When I saw I could have him come and perform all I needed for $50.00 I jumped on the deal. I called him Thursday evening and left a message. He called me within 30 minutes. This was after normal business hours. We made an appointment for Saturday at 10AM. James arrived on time. He took one look at the doors and told me we had smart locks that I could re-key myself. He showed me how and gave me 4 keys which took all of 5 minutes. He even left me the tool so I could do it myself next time. He offered to refund my money and I told him to keep it for the trip charge. It was worth $50.00 for the lesson and the tool. I wonder how many other companies would have been so honest and helpful. James is a breath of fresh air in a world full of poor customer service. I wish I could give him an A+
