Phifer Locksmith Service

Mr Phifer arrived right on time to re-key the truck gas caps that we had lost keys for. He made two keys for each lock and was done in a very short time. We then asked him if he might have time to make keys for two doors that we did not have keys for and he accepted that request very positively, also finishing that job in good time. We were extremely pleased with his promptness, professionalism and pricing and will call him again if we have need of a locksmith. We also will definitely recommend him to family & friends.

Install went well minus an interior door lock that was replaced & 2 days later the handle fell off. The set screw was stripped. This came off another door so not sure if it was already stripped when it was moved & reinstalled but we had to fix it with another screw.

The job went well and he did fix the lock as well as re-align the door.

I purchased a $19 coupon entitling me to a locksmith service call. Although no information was provided prior to purchase, I was advised after purchase that the coupon was only for the service call and not good toward any materials or labor. This information came as a pre-emptive email before any other direct contact between me and the locksmith. I cannot complain, since I didn't get those details clarified before I purchased the deal. In similar dealings with service professionals, the service call amount had always been applied to the job if work was actually performed. Now that I'm aware of the rules I will not be so quick to click that mouse! My fault.

He came almost an hour earlier than our appointment, which caught us in the middle of our lunch. Also, when I booked this service I thought that I had paid for the service in total since I had my own replacement locks, but was told that the $19. I'd spent on the "deal" was just for their trip charge which was normally $45. Though the service was adequate, and the charge fair, I had to stop him from leaving since one of the locks didn't quite work all the way -- he fixed it but my over-all feeling about this company was not great.

Everything was done as expected and we are very pleased with the finished product.

I called and said the door would not open from the inside or outside. The knob handle would not turn and pull in the latch. He told me the latch had probably failed, the Westlock door knob was out of business, but he might have a latch from another maker that would fit. He asked if he could do some research and call me back. Within a half hour, he called me back and he thought he had a latch that would fit. When he came to fix it he was prompt. The latch he brought worked and he and fixed it within 15 minutes. He gave me the coupon of $25 which meant he charged me $25 instead of $35. He also charged me $8 for the part. I would definitely hire him again!

I purchased a service call package from Angie's list and contact Jim Phifer to set up an appointment. Jim worked around my schedule and did a terrific job on my daughter's home. I was so impressed with the value and professional treatment that I received that I now use this company for my Small Business. With Jim you get good honest value at a fair price. What more could you ask for when you're looking for safety and security?

The Phifer Locksmith Service re-keyed all of my exterior access doors and performed both professionally and expertly. Their technician arrived on time and completed the work in less an thirty minutes. He brought along shoe covers to help keep our home interior clean, which was a pleasant surprise. James was early & worked fast. He was also the only locksmith on Angie's List with a good rating & didn't charge mileage! (we live 30 miles outside of Denver) I would definitely recommend Phifer to anyone.

James came right on time. I called and made an appointment with him the day before and he was actually waiting on me because we had not moved in at that time. He rekeyed my whole house and a back door which did not work, the knob was loose and did not turn correctly, he fixed with a new matching fixture and installed the locks. Everything went smoothly, he went about his work and was finished in about an hour or so... I think there were probably 6 or 7 locks he rekeyed. He was pleasant and professional. I would use him again for any type of work like this. Glad I have his number.

The deal stated that he would be in contact with me within two days of purchasing the deal which did not happen. Angie's List contacted me within a week to see if I have heard from the provider and I let them know I had not so they reached out to the provider as well. Two weeks went by and I still had not heard anything so I contacted the provider myself and he blamed Angie's List for not notifying him of the purchase. He then stated that the offer was actually for a trip fee and that there would be an additional fee for the service call and products. I kept faith and went ahead and scheduled an appointment with him for yesterday, December 6th. He then no called. no showed for the appointment. At this time I am done with this provider and am requesting a refund.

It went great! he showed up on time, re-keyed the locks, made extra copies all in record time. Great service!

I left a message and they never returned my phone call.

He couldn't come on the initial appointment date and I had to call him and reschedule. During his visit I asked him to evaluate the front door lock and he gave his honest opinion and said my existing lock is good. I replaced the garage door lock for $30. He is really good and did a thorough job.
