The service turned out great. He was very nice, polite, worked quickly and just did a great job. If he worked in my area of town, I would use him in a heart beat.

Excellent response time, they arrived on time and with all equipment needed to complete the job. He was courteous and knowlegeable. The areas were left clean and he tooke the time to make sure that all the locks and new keys worked for us as well.

I was very pleased with his service! He did exactly what I wanted done, and even helped with two problem locks to make them work perfectly. He was finished with rekeying the locks on six doors, plus creating new keys, in less than an hour. I would use him again in a heartbeat and strongly recommend him.

Mr. Phifer was very friendly and professional when I called him and arranged an appointment to work on the main door at our church. the appt. was for the following week which was fine as we did not have an emergency situation. When the day came, I was at the church to meet him and no one ever showed. I waited there at least two hours. Of course I called the number from Angie's List and got the recording. I left a message asking if I ahd made a mistake or if he had. I've never received a return of that call so I guess I'm not very happy. I chose this contractor because he was so highly regarded by other customers but I must be the exception because I judge that I was treated rather rudely.

James was a little late but called well in advance to notify us. He was in and out very quickly. Great job.

Purchase Phifer's full home rekey Big Deal special. I called James to rekey a home. I needed it done on fairly short notice. James met me at the house that next day at 7pm. I had three exterior doors, two that had additional security doors. James was pleasant and went right to work. He was very professional and completed the whole job within a hour. I bought an Angie's List deal for $90 to have my locks rekeyed. The technitian (sorry I already forgot his name), showed up right on time, he rekeyed all three of my locks and left me with a stack of new keys for my doors. He also fixed my front door lock that wasn't working and replaced a knob on my garage door that didn't match with the rest of the house. He was polite, professional and did the extra work at no charge. I will definately use them again for any of my locksmith needs!

James has numerous reviews so I'll just add another one :-). I purchased the $90.00 Angie's List "special" in early April. I had to reschedule our first appointment, as the builder had to return and do more work. After rescheduling on 5/3, James rekeyed the locks in short order. He then went above and beyond by fixing a deadbolt receiver (replaced two very short screws with 2" screws and routed out the receiver to prevent the lock from sticking). That took him about as long as rekeying the locks took. Nice person, fast, on-time and efficient. We'll use him again on the next house we buy.

Arrived on time. Did the work. Improved the security of one door a bit by slightly re-drilling the hole size. Also installed a key for a door that we've been unable to get a key for for years. Excellent work. Extremely efficient. Friendly and professional. I will be using Phifer again soon.

Very well. rekeying took much less time than I thought it would and we now had enough keys for ourselves and our housesitter with spares in case of a key loss. The repair on the front door was a little tricky but he worked through each of the issues and got a working unit.

We had just moved into a new house and needed to re-key all the doors -- front door lock + deadbolt, backdoor lock + deadbolt and garage interior door + deadbolt -- six locks in total to be re-keyed to the same key. The Angie's List deal was cheaper than the other price quotes we got and the the reviews were good so we bought and called to schedule. The locksmith was available the next day and we arrived on time for the scheduled appointment. The work was done surprisingly quickly and quietly. We got four total keys even though I think we were only supposed to get two. All the keys worked perfectly without any hitches or wiggling that you sometimes get with hardware store cut keys. Inexpensive, easy and and worked perfectly. What more could you ask for?

Initial appointment set. He had to reschedule. Missed the appointment. Rescheduled and finally showed. Had him look at some other work to get estimate. Haven't heard back.
