+ -1 moreThe original job was not up to standard and then they came back and they took care of things. They've been right and apologized of what has occurred. The quality of the workmanship the first time around was very inferior. Someone came back and made it right. I asked them to have us not pay the full price because it was not what we have originally planned but they didn’t do that which they should have. They did what they thought was right in taking care of it.
Description of Work: I used California Closets of Denver to do shelving in my closet.

+ -1 moreTheir product is good but they are way expensive. I don't know if I'm willing to pay the amount that they charge. They were very nice and professional. The problem that we had was when they designed the closet, they wanted to design the entire closet. We already had upgrades done to our closet so we just wanted to add on to it but that's not something they do. They pretty much remove whatever is on it and redo it so that's pretty much the only downside I felt with the company. They don't add on to existing closets. They want to completely redo the closets but the company seemed really nice and professional.

+ -1 moreI think they have the reputation from what I have gathered in my research of being higher priced but better quality. We didn't compare a lot. Some of the things we could have done like in the container store or some other stores. I think those have been a lot cheaper but I don't think they could have the quality of what we were looking for. Price-wise, we're going to cost more but there's some more things in there. The installation was a very quality installation. The shelves and everything is very strong so that I could put heavy items on the shelves. The shelves are all adjustable. Their service has a good follow-up. I would always rather have it in a lower price.

+ 1 moreThey were prompt, punctual and everything else, but they were the highest of the bids that we got. When we laid out the overall proposals, I would have went with them if they could have decreased their price. I would have even paid a little bit more honestly to have them do it, but they were $1200 more. I did ask them to go down on the price, but they were able to come down like $200, but that wasn't enough. This is probably the second time we've had them out to do an estimate on something and they always come in the highest. I probably would not call them in the future just because I know they are going to be the highest.
Description of Work: California Closets of Denver came out and gave us a bid. We were doing a home office installation. We were looking for somebody to put in cabinets and countertops.

Description of Work: We started to get estimated for a master closet remodel. We selected California closets due to their affiliation with Costco. In the end California closets had a good design and their designer was professional. Their cost was way too much. They increase the cost by at least 30%, then give you roughly a 20% deduction for being a Costco member. In the end, they had to radically change/downgrade their design to be competitive with Closets by Design and Classy Closets. When they downgraded their design, they were providing a lot less for the money. We went with Classy Closets for a much better price and the design that we wanted. The design we wanted was the original design before California Closets downgraded their design. Before downgrading their design, California Closets was $2,000 dollars more than their competitors.

+ -1 moreEverything arrived as expected except for one piece that will need to be custom cut. The order has been put in for that and a temporary piece is in place allowing me to use the bench until the new top is in.
Description of Work: I worked on the initial design with Rachel. She was very courteous and helpful, able to add in and alter the design I desired on her ipad and then email me my planned layout. We scheduled the install and the gentlemen arrived right on schedule and got the work completed in one day. The closet looks beautiful!

+ 1 moreIt was an amazing process with the whole company. Agatha Armstrong was my designer and she truly listened to my requirements and designed an amazing space for me to quilt and knit. I would definitely go back to California Closets and Agatha when it's time to redo my closets or add to my craft room. Agatha was incredibly patiend, knowledgable, and brought a vast amount of experience to the table - she came up with the best ideas on how to use my space and maximize my storage.
Description of Work: Completed redesigned and remodeled a craft room from utter chaos to organizational heaven.
