Kenny's Concrete

This was the most wonderful experience I've had with a contractor since I started remodeling my home last year. They bid the job and went overboard making sure the job was done right, designed my extended patio and it looks wonderful, and added 20 feet more to my driveway. I had a cottonwood tree removed from the driveway area previously and they removed the ball and roots and didn't charge me extra. This took them an extra 4 to 5 hours and they had to rent a backhoe. Who does that anymore? The workmanship is great, the caring attitude was beyond anything I've seen in awhile, and they did a tremendous job cleaning up as well. I would recommend this company above anyone else doing concrete work. Everything exceeded my expectations and looks better than I imagined. Give this company a 5 star rating and then some. BJR

It went extremely well. They started the work a week before the date given, which was much appreciated and they arrived exactly at the time they said they would. Had a 5 man crew and all the necessary equipment. Took less than 2 days to complete the job, and it looks wonderful. The previous person we hired took 3 weeks to remove the concrete and that was all that was done, so when I hired Kenny's and saw how professional they were, I was thrilled. I would definitely recommend them to others and use them again.

Kenny's Concrete was very professional and punctual. The estimator took the time to explain everything to me as far as how the work was going to be done and answered all of my questions. He even told me to go online to view the video of step by step how Kenny's Concrete replaces driveways. After talking to the estimator and viewing the video I knew this was the company I wanted to replace my driveway. The day my driveway was started Kenny came and introduced himself to me, this made a great impression on me to have the owner of the company come out. Once the crew started they worked h****** replacing my driveway. Since I watched the video I saw the steps and knew what was going to happen next. I was very impressed with everyone at Kenny's Concrete. My new driveway is wonderful. I have referred a few people already to Kenny's Concrete. So if your looking to have your driveway replaced give Kenny's Concrete a chance to earn your business.

The work was excellent. It could not have been any better. The office supplied conflicting information regarding the sealing process that seemed to change with each telephone call. We are still wondering if the driveway was ever sealed. We were told that the concrete needed to set for approximately 30 days prior to sealing & later we were told that it was sealed as soon as the protective tarp was removed. A consistent explaination would have been appreciated.

They completed the service within a few days. Scheduling was easy and they were able to start within a few days of my call. I worked with Kenny directly, he was really good with following up.

We walked around our neighborhood to observe driveways that had been re-poured and saw many with the Kenn's logo stamped in the concrete, even dating back many years. The driveways all looked good, and we had strongly considered Kenny's without even an estimate, but obtained estimates from Kenny's and one competitor, who was considerably higher. Kenny is an older craftsman who takes pride in his work, and was at the job site many hours, although he no longer does the back-breaking labor. The employees were on time as promised for both the demolition and the pour of the new concrete, which in today's world is unusual. We had a double driveway and 2 walks redone--one walk to the front porch (the porch itself was still in good condition) and another to the backyard. Both of the walks required incorporating gutter drains to remove water from the foundation, and we were impressed with the appearance and functionality in handling the drains. The entire job exceeded our expectations, and the crew cleaned up completely when the job was completed. We certainly would highly recommend Kenny's Concrete.

What a company of quality and integrity! I've seen their work all over our area. The owner was personally on the job making sure everything was just right. He also spent time educating us how to take care of our concrete in this Colorado climate and were given a very professional and informative packet of: warranty, care & maintenance. The team was skilled and did a wonderful job. I cannot say enough good things about Kenny's Concrete.

Excellent experience from requesting bid, to completing project on time,and through follow-up. Kenny (owner) was on site coordinating and supervising his work crew. He is very knowledgeable about the nuances in setting up concrete properly. He was available to discuss project with my wife and answer questions as they proceeded with the work. I wish all contractors were as personable, professional and capable.

He was quick and very professional. It looks amazing. Everything was always cleaned up. It was on time when they said they were going to do it. Actually they came ahead of time since I called them asked to come earlier and got it done. It is a lot better than what I was thinking it was going to be.

I am so impressed with everyone I dealt with at Kenny?s concrete from the bidding process to the actual work that I can not recommend this company highly enough. My driveway was 33 years old and desperately in need of replacement. A neighbor of mine had her driveway replaced by Kenny?s 5 years ago and it still looks like it was poured last week. That?s how fine a job Kenny did for her. That plus the Angie?s List reviews was the reason I got a quote from Kenny?s plus two others. Kenny?s bid was very competitive and I chose his company. I signed the contract in April of 2013 and scheduled the job for June. A few days before the start date, the office manager called me to confirm the day and start time. On the first day of the job the crew arrived and did a very professional job of removing my old driveway and cleaning up at the end of the day. I was also very appreciative of Kenny himself stopping by in addition to the office manager. The next morning the crew arrived about 6:30 am as promised and the cement truck was there by 7:00 am. Again the crew did a great job. I can?t compliment them enough. And Kenny and the Office Manager also were there to ensure the job was done to my satisfaction, which it was. I hope this review conveys just how happy I am with Kenny and his entire team.

Requested several estimates to replace the driveway and walk. Kenny and another company were only companies to provide the estimates on a written contract with specific descriptions of the work and the cost. Kenny was very knowledgeable and made several suggestions (i.e., replace another walk and add a different drainage system under the walk). Kenny provided the most practical solutions. His ideas for the drainage and an additional walk were great suggestions and aesthetically they were definitely improvements. Appreciated Gina, Kenny's daughter, calling to inform me when the crew was going to be at my home and what was to be expected. The crew efficiently demolished the drive and walks as proposed and set up for the concrete pour the next day. We did have a couple of days of snow after the concrete was poured. Kenny covered the new concrete for the evening and uncovered during the day. This happened for a couple days. The result has been excellent. Absolutely love the new driveway and walks. He also extended one of the walks, which wasn't in the contract. The extended walk gave it a finished look and functions much better than the original proposal. I appreciated the excellent customer service and the high quality of the product Kenny and his company provided. It was refreshing to work with someone who still has the work ethic and values that seems to be missing in a lot of companies today. I would definitely recommend this company and would use their services again.

The job was done well. We were happy with the results. Later we wanted to have the driveway extended but we were unable to get ahold of them. Other than that, they did a great job.

Kenny's Concrete poured my driveway a little over two years ago and it began to spall almost immediately. At the time I wrote it off as 'aging' and didn't think it would start losing it's 'skin'. When I returned from deployment I looked at it again and realized that the deterioration, or erosion, of the driveway was not part of the aging process. According to other concrete experts, the concrete was overworked and that's is one reason for the spalling. The other reason is when the concrete arrived and they began to pour, the initial wet mix was almost all fiber mesh. The mesh flew all over the place. They had to stop the pour and rotate the drum for an additional several minutes. I was later told by another concrete layman that the concrete was beginning to set up before it came out of the truck, which contributed to the overworking. It is now disintegrating. I can't even wash it off with a garden hose without pieces of the driveway chipping up. After I wash my driveway I usually have to sweep up concrete chips. Kenny came out and looked at it and told me the spalling came from magnesium chloride being on my driveway. This may be true for where the cars park but the spalling covers the whole driveway. Also, the sidewalk that runs around the cul-de-sac, which was poured by Arapahoe County, shows no signs of spalling from magnesium chloride. Kenny offered to replace the driveway but his 'discounted' replacement cost is roughly the same price as other competitor's on Tom Martino's referral list. It is important to note that concrete driveways come with a 1 year warranty and clearly I was not around to call them within the 1 year. The other driveways in my neighborhood have been around for 30 years and they all look better than mine. It's not hard to draw your own conclusion. Although it was easy to work with Kenny on the initial job, the replacement of the bad driveway has been anything but easy. I can not recommend Kenny's. I am having the driveway replaced by another Tom Martino referral list recommended contractor and I will post that review after the job is completed. I have several pictures of my driveway and would like to find a way to post them. One last comment. In full disclosure, I asked Kenny to replace my driveway @ approximately 38 cents less per square foot than the average price and he refused. His offer was 62 cents more per square foot than the average price in our area.

Jeremy with Kenny's came out and discussed what we wanted. We are EXTREMELY pleased with the results. We are so pleased that we want to replace the floor in the garage that is attached to our house and the back patio and we want Kenny's to do the work. We have recommended them to friends that are bulding a house this spring and need concrete work done for their foundation and flat work. We will have the back and will be recommended them!

When I called and told them they had the job I got no response back regarding scheduling for several weeks. After a second call and an email with still no response I was almost ready to move on to my next choice when they finally called back and scheduled the job. Once they did call, it was rescheduled due to weather (understandable). It was finally removed and poured in mid-November for the porch/driveway. The curb had to be delayed until after a previous snow had melted. When it was ready to do the rest we had the wonderful City of Centennial permit process to go through... all $1300 worth for a silly sidewalk/curb permit. Jeremy was able to negotiate the permit price down from $1300 to just under $1000 and the pour was completed the Monday before Thanksgiving. When the inspector showed up to review the completed project he showed up with the usual "inspector" face, walked around the project... then smiled and said "Well, I'm impressed". That kind of says it all.

Kenny's concrete did a very good job pouring my new driveway. They showed up on time for the estimate and were helpful in figuring out what I wanted. The job itself was completed in a day. It would have been a little quicker but they spent time waiting on another company to deliver the concrete. The driveway looks great and the curb cut was well worth the money (it's about a grand on its own, with city permit). Afterwards Jeremy dropped by to pick up the check and spent time going over how to make the driveway last. The only downside was that when the crew was cleaning up they dumped a big bucket of slurry on one of my shurbs that would have killed it had I not noticed it when I did (it was dumped on the far side of the shurb such that it wasn't immediately visible). But, overall I would use them again.

They tore out and replaced the sidewalk in one day, the street was repaired about 2weeks later ,again, in one day. the qualiyy of the work is outstanding and the asphalt company went above and beyond required work. It was a little pricy but after being ripped off by and lied to by other contracters this restored my faith in quality work

I do not do business with people who do not show up on time and don't call if they are late.

They were very fast. They were efficient. They were on schedule. I am satisfied with their service. Their pricing is fair.

First caveat that they need to add to their website is that Kenny's Concrete requires a minimum job cost of $3000 before they will send out their crew. So my 250sqFt patio at $10/sqFt did not meet their minimum requirement. A nice little detail to know before contacting them.The estimator had to reschedule at the last minute after I set the appointment online three days in advance. A little disruptive but, the disappointing issue is that no one else in the company is able to or could cover for him to prevent the cancellation and rescheduling. I don't know about their quality of work because in this case I can't imagine giving them the job.

Jeremy showed up on time, and was very professional. He discussed with me the pros and cons of different types of concrete finishing techniques, which he was very knowledgeable about. I asked if in process of doing this work, they could reroute sprinkler lines around patio, but they do not do this kind of work, which is reasonable. I had a few other Angie's List Concrete Contractors out to give me bids, and I was shocked at how high of a price that Kenny's gave me (more than double the average bids i got). I am sure the work they do is quality work, but i am not convinced it is worth the cost difference.

Really poor service... they should be able to confirm wether or not they service your area over the phone and not twenty minutes before my appointment.

Ray came by promptly and gave a competitive bid. I went with them because they had good Angie's List reviews They called ahead to schedule and arrived right on time. We had had a lot of snow recently and his crew worked hard to get all the ice chipped away so they could clean the concrete before sealing it. I tried to offer them some money for lunch since they were doing all this extra work and they wouldn't take it. They did a great job repairing the concrete where our deck contractors had damaged the stamped part. They also used a product on top of the seal that makes the stamped concrete much less slipery when it is wet. We love this stuff! It isn't rough or even noticeable, but works great! No other contractor offered this. I also got to use an Angie's list discount! I would absolutely recommend them and would use them again for any concrete work we need!

It was excellent. I would certainly give them an "A". I thought they did a very fine job of doing the job without disrupting the landscaping. They also did a very good job of compacting of the soil before pouring concrete. They put down good, quality rebar before they did their work. They were competitive price-wise, the work was good quality-wise, and it was very well done.

I called to set an appointment for an estimate on stamped concrete in my backyard. The next day, I received a call from Jeremy and he suggested between 8:30am and 9am the following morning. I waited until 9:30am and still no Jeremy or even a phone call. So I went to work, and finally called a few hours later. When I asked him what happened, he cursed to himself and seemed confused. Then he said "I must have spaced it.". Very unprofessional. I told him I'd call someone else. If you value your time and expect them to show up when they say they will, don't bother calling this company.
