Hello, I am sorry about the issues you were having, but I do not think you have the right company as I do not know this name or address, We have phone and e-mail records to show that we do not have a call or email from the above member. We have not had a call from Estes park nor have we ever completed a bid in this area. I truly hope you find the right company! If this member were to call us we would be more than happy to set up an appointment with them. Thank you! Terrill Weddel H2O Drainage Systems in Littleton, Co.

We are very pleased with the work performed. Terrill clearly explained the problem and readily accommodated our late request for moving the emitter from the back to the front of the house. He went out of his way to explain what I could do to fix some of the minor leaks in my basement.
Description of Work: Terrill examined our basement wall and came up with a drainage plan to prevent water from damaging our foundation. His company installed the drainage system and explained how to maintain the pop-up emitter and fix some of the other water problems in the basement.

After several summers of having rain get into my basement during heavy rains, I contacted several contractors to solve this situation. (Note: There had been occurrences of this during the 5 years prior.) Two contractors' solutions would capture water after entry and direct to the sump pump and outside. I contacted H2O Drainage Systems to address the cause of water getting into the basement. Terrill was able to tell me exactly what was happening and how to fix it. He suggested adding additional drainage pipes to the area, capturing the water from the downspouts, and funneling the water to the front (where the water naturally drains to the street). In addition, re-sloping the side and installing solid plastic underneath the dirt/rocks of the slope. Lastly, installing sump pumps into the window wells with outlet into the new drainage pipes. (Note: The latter was not done, by my decision, until it is proven to be required.) I won't know the exact results of this work until spring/summer rain storms resume. Terrill was able to start and finish this project in December. I would highly recommend Terrill to anyone needing help with water drainage problems.
Description of Work: New drainage tubing was installed along East side of home, with connections to three downspouts (coming from gutters). Tubing extended to front of home with popups for rain water to drain to street. Dirt was re-graded for proper slope. It was recommended to also install sump pumps into the two window wells to capture water that had been draining into them. However, I (the homeowner) decided to hold off on this work as it would be possible to add this later if required.

Thank you so much and thank you for the opportunity to work for you! Please when you get time install plastic bubbles on top of your window wells to deflect any cascading waters out of your gutters above. This will help keep any water from the roof getting inside your wells. This is not expensive, but sure helps to deflect water away from the area wells.

Description of Work: The fellow who came to my home was very nice and very informative. He concluded that I did not have a mold issue which was a huge relief. However, he told me he would call me to give me the name of a person who could finish my basement floors. I sent him a follow-up e-mail, but he never responded. He did not charge me for a house call which was awesome, however, I was very disappointed that he did not follow-up with his promise of giving me the name of a person to do the needed repairs in my basement. I'm not sure what month he came to my home -- it was a long time ago.

Terrill came out a few weeks earlier to evaluate the situation and help us find the best solution to our sump pump issue (it was spraying water onto the adjacent wall). We decided to have the job done on 12/15/2012 at about 10:30am. Terrill was running late as he was out getting supplies. Very professionally though, he called and e-mailed me re the delay. Once the job was started and we reevaluated as to where the pipes should come out, (so we don't have hazardous situation with ice build up on the driveway and sidewalk), everything went smoothly. They were done in the amount of time he qouted us. He charged the original price we had agreed on although the work was more extensive. He gave us recommendations re redoing the sump pump pit and gave me a price quote if he were to do the job. Overall it was a very good experience.
Description of Work: The sump pump was replaced and pipes run, for the water to be pumped outside, instead the sewage system, as previously installed.

Terrill did a great job diagnosing the problem and making a recommendation. He scheduled the work, showed up on time, was polite and helpful, and cleaned up everything afterward. He explained what he did, and why he did it. The next day, we had one of Denver's "gully washer" storms that dropped an inch of rain in a short amount of time. The new pump turned on when it was supposed to and worked flawlessly. We were very pleased with the performance of the pump, as well as Terrill's service.
Description of Work: We had been having problems with an outdoor sump pump and three electricians had been called in to look at it. One of the electricians helped with rewiring the power for the pump, but recommended that we call someone in to clean the motors. I found H2O Drainage on Angie's List, and made the call. The pump had to be replaced.

He arrived on time, got straight to work and was finished in the time he said it would take. There was no mess and he hauled away all related trash. He's a nice guy who knows his trade and takes pride in it which is refreshing in the construction business.
Description of Work: Replaced the sump pump and associated piping. He was very knowledgable and curious. He also saved us some money because we did not a certain part replaced so he was honest & told us that so we didn't have topay for something we didn't need. We will definitely recommend him to others.

I have some severe drainage problems on the outsifde of my house which caused the basement to flood and we lost all the carpeting, etc. I found H2O on Angie's list and called them in early to mid July, 2012. Terrill (owner) came out during the week of 7/16/12. We agreed to what the scope of work would be. He emailed a proposal and, on 7/24, I wrote him a check for $800 as a deposit. He estimated it would be about 3 weeks until he could get to it. On 8/13, I sent him an email asking for an update and he responded saying they ran into some large roots on another job and that would delay them another week or two. Sometime in the early part of the week of 8/27/12 (two weeks later), I called and left him a voice message that we were becoming impatient as it had already been over 5 weeks and were thinking of canceling. It has been at least a week since I left the voice message and still no phone call from anyone with H2O. Today, 9/4/12, I stopped payment on the check (he hadn't cashed it yet which is the only good thing I can say about this exparience) and sent him an email canceling the job. If someone no longer can or wants to dop the work....fine by me but have the courtesy to vcontact the customer. WORST OF ALL - THIS IS AN ANGIE'S LIST CONTRACTOR. HOW EMBARRASSING FOR HIM AND FOR ANGIE'S LIST.

Member, I have been honest with you from the start of us meeting. We have had delays with pictures to prove what we have encountered. We are not a big company and we strive for a 100% percent satisfaction. We kept you informed of the situation we were encountering. We cannot see obstacles underground that may exist and we found them. While working on one of Denver's older homes we found a sidewalk that had to be taken out that was not on bid. It was also covered over with over one foot of soil and tree's with several bushes and assorted plant life. This all had to be removed before reaching the walkway and then tearing out the walkway. This added over two additional weeks to complete. This time was not alloted. We also found another walkway at another home and found black top under a paver patio, this also had to be taken out. We ate the additional costs associated with these delays. We also have homeowners you can call and ask if this took place or not. I did not cash your check and if you check you will not find ONE customer I have ever taken advantage of in over 30 years of repairing homes. Plus you will not find a complaint from bad work. I had told you we were behind from these delays. I am sorry that you did not believe the truth I was telling you. I was always taught to tell the truth and thats what I gave you. These types of delays we encountered are not common but do happen from time to time, as you do not know what previous homeowners have done to try and stop water intrusion. I know for a fact had we worked on your home you would have had no more water, and you would have liked the finished product! I do not feel like we should be imbarrassed about anything as we told the truth and have several happy customers to,prove it. We are a specialty company with myself and my son and not a big company that will send out unskilled employee's to install work that may or may not work. This is why our installation of drainage work, works the first time everytime! We guarantee it! I am sorry that you did not believe me, but I do not feel you had to try and hurt our reputation that we have strived so hard to build. We did not cash your check and we sent back your check, and SIGNED proposal without holding you to it. I hope that you do not encounter anymore water even though we are not going to be working on it. I also hope that you and your family has good fortunes in the future! Thank you for the opportunity to get the chance to work for you! I am just sorry you did not let us finish!

We hired Terrill because we needed a sump pump expert, not just a plumber. our sump pump was improperly dumping into the sewer system and we wanted to correct it without flooding the neighbors or ourselves. He made suggestions for landscaping improvements to resolve our problem, and designed and new and proper system for our house. Along the way he made several suggestions for ways we could work on the project ourselves and lower the cost. He also pointed out some problems caused by water (concrete cracking, foundation movement) along with potential solutions. Terrill's expertise and dedication are invaluable when dealing with water problems!

Job progressed over two weeks. No heavy equipment was required. Work followed exactly the detailed estimate provided with no surprises. Contractor was very knowledeable concerning drainage problems. He also does home inspections for folks who anticipate buying a home. He understands problems created by other contractors or home builders and how to resolve them. He has an extensive work history along the whole front range and can also spot problems missed by other contractors.
Description of Work: Sump pump replaced, sump drain redone outside. Placed perforated drainage system, front and back, under house dripline feeding to edge of yard to a ground level percolater. This was done after removing existing gravel and plastic, placing fill dirt and gravel- along the foundation, sloping away from the house. I was given the option to obtain a sizeable discount for work I was willing to to do myself. I only chose to remove hedges in front of the house and he completed the remainder of the work with his son.

I called Terrill after I noticed lots of standing water in our crawl space. We live in an area notorious for foundation problems caused from expansive soils, so I was very concerned. He was here almost 1 1/2 hours on his first visit (which was free). He was extremely knowledgeable and has a very impressive background relating to all types of drainage and structural problems. He could have told me that we needed much more extensive (and expensive) work done, and I probably would have said yes. He instead said he would recommend installing a french drain, which was much more cost effective. We have had several snows and heavy rains since then, and there has been no water at all in the crawl space. He also built dirt up around the perimeter of the home to allow water to drain away from the foundation (at no additional charge)!! He did many other "little extras" and no additional charge to me. Terrill was very detail oriented, punctual, personable and extremely honest throughout the entire process. This was definitely money very well spent! H20 Drainage is honestly the best company that I have ever had to call for any home repairs or improvements!!
Description of Work: Terrill installed a french drain and promoted a "positive fall-off" of water away from the entire perimeter of our house to keep water away from our foundation.

I called the company and they came out within 3 days. The owner, Terrill Weddel, came out, looked at the problems, took pictures, and gave me his recommendations for work. Terrill explained that they would send me a repair plan and if I was interested I should return a signed copy of the plan and a 1/3 cost deposit. In a couple of days I received the plan covering the specifics of the work and detailing the problems on paper and with photos. Once my deposit was received I was called to schedule the work. Terrill showed up when he said he would and completed all of the work I'd contracted. As he proceeded through the job, when I was around, he would explain what he was doing. I feel very confident that I will no longer have any water problems from that section of the foundation area and the yard.
Description of Work: Common space between my townhome and my neighbor's retained water causing my crawl space wall to leak during rain storms and the floor of my crawl space to be damp, if not wet. H2O Drainage Systems graded the area, installed plastic sheeting, core drilled the retaining wall, installed a surface drain and downspout drain.

Terrill was extremely thorough from bid through to completion, providing photos of before and after, assessing each issue and making sure that I understood what needed to be done, what was done and what I could expect. I have previously hired someone else to do this work and been charged the same amount, but the work had resulted in a worstening of the situation. Terrill repaired the mistakes made by the prior contractor and - while I've now paid twice for the same work - highlighted what to look for in any future contractor. I was very pleased with the result and would recommend him to anyone looking for a solution to drainage/ water issues. He knows what he is doing - especially with old houses (mine is over 100 years old). I now need it to rain so I can see how it works! He has a lot of experience and seems to work as a small operator (it was him and one other person working on my project) - very personal and very trustworthy.
Description of Work: Terrill installed two drainage pipes releveled the ground around my house to prevent water from pooling/ running towards my house. He also linked my downspouts into the drain system which made the whole think look tidy, and again, limit drainage towards my house.

Terrill was very professional through the entire project. He was on time and called or emailed to keep us informed. He knows his stuff regarding drainage and water issues and is able to explain them well. One of the best things about H2O is that they offer a sweat equity option. We took this option and the price was cut in half. We had to dig the 8 inch trench for the underground pipe. It was definitely worth it to save $1500. We also had to buy the supplies ourselves, but Terrill gave us a list of exactly what we needed to get. He was also very professional when unexpected costs came up regarding the window well, he stuck to the estimate he gave us and took care of the extra cost himself.
Description of Work: We had water coming on the floor and in the walls of one of our basement rooms. Due to mold and efflorescence concerns, we wanted to figure out where the water was coming from and how to stop the moisture from coming in. Terrill came out for the estimate and was able to give information right away of what he believed to be the problem. The grading outside appeared to be the issue. He showed us where the problem issues were and explained why it was a problem. H2O put underground drainage on one side of our house and added more underground drainage pipe to our downspout to carry the water further out in the yard away from the house. They added window well inserts to make our existing window wells higher and then put plastic against the foundation and onto the ground and increased the grading along the house.

After having our crawl space flood for the first time in the 9 years we've lived in our home and not being able to find anyone who could pinpoint the source, we were thrilled to find Terry to help us out. Because he doesn't spend money on advertising, we would never have discovered him had it not been for Angie's List. Other companies we'd talked to only seemed interested in covering up the source problem with a moisture barrier. Terry gave us a more-affordable, step-by-step fix option, while pointing out other drainage solution possibilities we may pursue in the spring. We were pleased he didn't try to up-sell us on things we didn't need, or try to push us to do more extensive and costly upgrades all at once. Since the source of the flooding is still unconfirmed, we found his wait-and-see approach made more sense than the sales pitches we heard from other companies. After giving our property a thorough examination, Terry suggested other little repairs we can do ourself to our driveway and brick work, and even gave us a spare tube of caulk he had in his truck. He also suggested an electrician to power the new sump pump, Brett, who was very helpful, and suggested and installed a dehumidistat, to also help prevent future moisture problems. The electrician offered us extra peace of mind, when he came back to check on the system a couple of weeks after installation, when we thought it might be malfunctioning (though it wasn't).
Description of Work: Installed a sump pump in our crawl space and partial drainage system.

Excellent. They showed up on time, were meticulous in terms of cleaning up the work area upon completion of the job, were very careful not to interupt anything that was going on in the house at the time, explained everything they were doing and why. The final price was exactly as estimated and there was no attempt whatsoever to try to sell additional products or services. They were very polite and very knowlegeable and the installed system appears to be working efficiently.
Description of Work: Put in a drainage system by running a pipe from my existing window well to the existing drainage system under the house and eventually draining the water into the existing sump pit. This was done because the window well was filling with water after heavy rains and the water would seep into the basement. Installed a sump pump in order to pump the water out of the house.

They were very punctual and very prompt, and I got the bid quickly. I thought that it was too pricey and didn't move forward. I got other opinions and I didn't even need the work done. They were nice people and seemed very knowledgeable. The quote was for about $1000 and I thought their bid was pricey and I just didn't get the feeling that I even needed to do the project after talking to several other people. It wasn't the greatest of experiences but it wasn't bad either.

During the 24 hrs that Colorado Springs got the record rainfall since 1961, my husband and I were down in our basement when we heard a wierd "splash" from the window. We turned to see a few lizzards swimming in about 3 feet of water that had filled our basement window well. The water was coming in through the window and had been soaking the walls we had just painted, the insulation, the carpets we had just laid. We called a 24 Hour Home Emergency company and waited 2 hours for them to arrive while we bailed the water our in the pouring rain. The company finally showed up and told us they would only be able to dry out the inside of our basement room (not put it back together afterwards) and that nothing could be done to prevent the water from coming in the window. They also wanted to charge us about $3K to do that drying. WOW. Needless say, the rest of that night, between taking turns bailing water, we were ripping up carpet, removing the totally saturated pads underneath, and ripping insulation out of the walls, and setting fans on them. Cost us $20 for the extra fans from WalMart. Sometime in the wee hours of the morning, I got Angie's List and found H2O Drainage Systems. The writeup on the left-hand side of the screen was perfect - it was like someone invented him for us! At 7am (he is not a 24-hour emegency guy, but if you can get through the night, he can save you :D) I called Terrel. He was already at another job, but re-arranged his afternoon to come help us. He got here around noon. It was still raining, and by then we had been working and water-bailing the ever-filling window wells for about 15 hours straight - no sleep for about 34 hrs (we figured out that the water was coming in from the earth below the wells - the water table had risen that high). He could easily have taken us for a ride price-wise in our desperation. Thankfully, he absolutely did not - even gave us a discount. He was extremely professional and kind. He brought everything he needed based on what we had told him over the phone, and installed a kind of pump that he actually invented and has never failed in 34 years. He made it look really nice, did all the work himself except a little sweat equity on our part afterwards putting extra river rocks on top. The thing works great! We were so glad we found him on AngiesList. We would definitely reccommend him to anyone - he does a military discount too!
Description of Work: Basement waterproofing - modified sump pump installation.

I wasn't here the day it happened, so if he had subcontracted someone for the concrete work than I have never dealt with them. He responded quickly to my initial call. We were in crisis because we were leaving town, and weekend was arriving. We had a very bad rain here, and the water was flooding into the basement. He came out immediately, and took care of the immediate crisis over the weekend. He was a very personable guy and was honest. The price was good.
Description of Work: H2O Drainage Systems put a whole new drainage system around our house and tore off the sidewalks, so water can stop going to the basement a week or two ago. He was out here for a couple of weeks this summer and finished the job in a week or two after that.

They are very detail oriented and very honest person. They do what they say they are going to do. They make sure the job is done right.
Description of Work: I hired H2O Drainage Systems to put a vapor barrier in the basement. He does anything to do with leaks and water removal. He just came out last week to put in exterior under ground drainage pipes in low lying areas in the house.
