They arrived on time and actually a little early. The technician was very friendly and someone who you would be glad to have in your home. He performed the service efficiently. The cost was within the promised estimate which was the service call plus parts. He only installed parts that were needed. He cleaned the fireplace and glass, adjusted and checked for safety. I am confident that the fireplace is safe and it works better than ever. I would recommend them to anyone.

They managed to fit me in before the holidays. The technician was on time & professional. He explained what needed to be done outside of the basic service (a $10 switch) and why. I will be calling them again.

He arrived right on time for a 6 am appointment. He introduced himself and was polite and courteous. He went right to work and it took about an hour to complete the work. When he was done he explained what he had done and presented the bill. Overall it was a positive experience.

The work was performed by Jacob, one of the owner's two sons. He arrived on time, diagnosed the problem correctly, replaced the thermocouple, and cleaned the gas logs. He also ran checks on the gas valve, and several other functional aspects of the fireplace. He was very courteous and professional. Good work at a reasonable price. I would recommend and would hire again.

The technician was prompt (actually showed up early which was nice) and cleaned 2 gas log fireplaces. They look brand new.

It required 2 visits to our home. The first time the technician could not get the fan to come on so he could hear the noise. He ingnited the fireplace to activate the fan. Then he said he couldn't take the fireplace apart to replace the fan because it was too hot. When the senior technican returned to replace the fan, the charge for just the fan was $240 for a fan that doesn't appear to match the one that was removed and does not blow nearly the amount of air the original one did. Both visits were punctual, but $375 seems high to simply replace a fan that doesn't require any electrical expertise..

Was on time and provided a full explanation of the gas leak I was smelling. Price for the parts was fair and he completed the work quickly. He took the time to explain the reason that the parts failed and how to make them last longer. Overall a good experience.

I originally was schedule to be there to paid them once services was completed. Unfortunately I was unexpectedly called into work that morning. My grandmother was home and let Jacob (Tech) in to do the work. Despite not being there to pay him upon completion of the work, he allowed me to pay him via mail. His understanding of me not being there was appreciated! Based on his discovery of the gas leak ... I'll definitely use them on a routine basis as a preventive maintenance work!

Jacob answered the phone when I called, we were able to set up an appointment for the very next morning. He showed up right on time, was professional and courteous, Did a great job, and charged me the price that was quoted on the phone. I will be calling them again in the future, and I will recommend them to neighbors.

Was quick and simple and noticed improvement

My fireplace wouldn't ignite so I called for an appointment. Very easy to get appointment (remember this is before Labor Day). Tech called from his car to say he was stuck in traffic and would be a few minutes late. Nice touch. Repair to gas fireplace was a "proprietary" rebuild that hopefully will be more reliable and long lasting repair. Time will tell. Price of parts: valve $250, thermopile $90 and sparker $25.

It is tough finding folks that do this and people that do it well and affordable. They do a great job of cleaning and servicing. Strongly recommend.

5 STARS!!!!!! They were on time and the price was about half of the quote I had received from another company! The technician repaired the fireplaces as well as cleaned the pilot, burners, and even the glass on both fire places.

Our entire experience with this company was a positive one. They quickly scheduled a visit and were happy to reschedule when a conflict arose. The techs were polite, knowledgeable and kept our home clean while they worked. They performed a safety check and annual maintenance on a gas fireplace in a home we just purchased. The techs found a few safety issues and told me how much new parts would cost, but promised to attempt a repair. They successfully repaired the issue and it didn't cost me any extra money. I would use A Safe Home again and recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

The scheduling was done over the phone and within an acceptable time frame. The technician arrived on time, was courteous, friendly, and acceptably professional. He explained what he was going to do to prior to performing the service, completed the service in a timely manner, and certified that the fireplace was in working order. The work seems to have improved the function of the fireplace and I am happy with the service overall.

They were very prompt on the service day and was a bit over priced to clean out and find out that issue that the fireplace didn't work was a small issue. They explained what they did and gave me a checklist to show the services provided. Initially was happy with the service and that they fireplace actually was working. A week later I went to use the fireplace and it would not turn on. I called the next day and they just said there could be other issues with additional expenses and they would come out again to look at and he was very short with me. The technician was nice and early and found the problem was just the switch to the gas fireplace but still wanted to charge me to replace it!! It was on the initial form that this was replaced but he said that it was marked in error and if I wanted him to replace it to make the fireplace work I would still have to pay the fee. The amount was not large but the fact that they were short when I told them it wasn't working after THEY fixed it and THEY still charged me when I thought they had already replaced that part was very unprofessional. I understand that things happend but the customer service was not acceptable and could have been handeled differently. They are prompt in calling and showing up but will not use this company again.

A Safe Home came in response to a small gas leak in our fireplace. They arrived on time, performed the repairs in a professional and timely manner, cleaned up afterwards, and charged exactly as they said over the phone. The two techs were very personable and professional. A good experience and would definitely use them again.

When I called, I did have to leave a message as no one answered the phone. I did get a call back within a few hours. My problem wasn't that urgent, but it did take them a week to come to my house. On the scheduled appt. day, they arrived 30 minutes early, which is great, but a phone call probably should have been made in case I wasn't home. Once here, they were able to solve the problem quickly and now my gas fireplace is working again. I will tell you that I did not purchase any "deal" on Angie's List. I just used them because of their reviews. A $135 service call fee is standard with them.
