A SAFE HOME Gas Fireplace Service, Inc.

The company who originally installed the fireplace is no longer in business, and I picked another well-known company out of the phone book, though their next appointment wasn't for more than two weeks. After a duh moment, I checked on Angies List and called A Safe Home. I could get an appointment in the same timeframe, and the person taking my information was thorough and polite, so I made an appointment and cancelled the other. The 2 fellows who came were on time, booted their feet, used a cloth around the fireplace, and were thorough in their work. They also cleaned the inside of the fire glass without charge. They said they had not had good luck online in finding the part I needed, possibly I could get it shipped from the UK, but that if I could find it, they would come back without another service fee and install it. I found the part from Fire-Parts.com, and after it arrived they installed it for free as promised, being equally efficient and tidy as the first time. I gave them the website so they could pass it on to other customers.

Prompt and quick service, safety check and cleaning. Needed to replace the ignition control module.

Needed a fireplace cleaning, but when they arrived, they informed me that we had an electrical issue that needed to be fixed and that we'd need to call someone else for the repair. They were helpful and only charged us for the visit. We were refunded the remainder of the charge. While the outcome was acceptable, the scheduling and communication beforehand left a little to be desired. While responsive, I only received half answers. And they missed our first scheduled appointment, which required me to follow up in order to reschedule.

I had to spend another, approximately $50 for "special sand" under the logs. He said it was required item and would not proceed without it. I had used the fire place for nearly 23 years without the sand!!! I am not sure it was a required item. It almost looked as if he came prepared to sell me sand at the exorbitant price!!!

Completely operational now and looks great.

I needed my fireplace fixed. I messaged them and it took them over a month to get back to me. By then, I had arranged for someone else to do my work.

When we bought our house over 12 years ago it had a gas fireplace that we couldn't get started. This year we finally decided we wanted to use it. Jacob arrived on time, was professional, and took the time to answer all of our questions. He took the fireplace apart, cleaned all of the major components, put them back together, then tested and made adjustments to ensure everything was working properly. We love having a working fireplace and we're kicking ourselves for not having called a long time ago!

Excellent! Jacob was on time, pleasant, professional, neat, and was clearly highly skilled and experienced. In less than an hour my fireplace was cleaned, serviced and operating like new. I am very pleased with the service and gladly recommend them to others.

Dylan was able to squeeze us in to fix our fireplace on short notice and was not only on time but early. He was very professional and thorough. We were completely confident in his work and was very upfront about the charges which seemed very reasonable for the situation. We would definitely use them again.

The owner booked answered the phone quickly, was personable and professional scheduling the appointment. There was a confirmation call. The technician showed up promptly will all necessary equipment. Through the entire service he was polite and professional. Most importantly 45 minutes later my fireplace was lighting and the blower was producing heat. The price was as quoted over the phone. As a bonus the fireplace was well clean and looks almost brand new. I would highly recommend this company.

It went great! We were told 2 years ago that it couldn't be fixed and would be cheaper to buy a new insert- at least $3000! Called Safe Home and they were very nice and professional on the phone. Were on time and friendly. Cleaned out everything and replaced the broken control panel--- it was A LOT cheaper and faster than getting a new insert. Put everything back together and checked for leaks. In and out in less than 20 minutes.

The servicing went without a hitch. Definitely recommend these guys.

Absolutely STUNNING!!! I am serious, this is an old builders grade gas fireplace that I have had cleaned before, but, I don't know how or what Dillon did but this fireplace looks like NEW! He redid some of the stuff inside and saw that we had a bad switch and changed it. I was thinking of replacing at some point, but honestly I have never seen this fireplace look this good! Also, Dillon was the nicest most efficient guy, what a pleasure.

Showed up on time. Had to disassemble the entire fire place unit. Re lit the pilot light, removed the old blower and installed a new unit, inspected and cleaned the entire assembly. Work was done quickly and professionally.

A Safe Home Gas Fireplace was the best customer service we have received from a company in a very long time. Jacob arrived at our home at 5am (that is the time they start their day at this time of year), he quickly had things going, had the fireplace opened and determined what the problem was with our fireplace. Jacob had it fixed and running in less than 45 minutes. Apparently the prior fireplace repair company that had attempted to fix our fireplace used duct tape to try and fix the fireplace. I would recommend A Safe Home to anyone looking to get their fireplace fixed. The service was fantastic, the price was reasonable and the job was done timely and with know how to fix it. The original part he replaced it with didn't work so he put everything back neatly, apologized for not being able to finish the job that night, and came back 2 days later to complete the project. They charged us only for what we needed, which was $200 less than the maximum guideline I'd been given.

Dylan cleaned all the parts, checked all parts of the system and even cleaned the glass on the fireplace. He also set the flame levels so they are equal height. This all took less than 30 minutes. We've had other service people out over the years for this problem, but the repairs never seemed to last long. It's been almost two weeks and the fireplace comes on immediately after we turn the power switch on. And when I called for an appointment, Daryl answered the phone offered a date and time earlier than I would have thought was available. Great service. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience. Scheduling was easy. I was surprised when Dylan showed up 30 minutes early and I commented that I'm glad I got home in time. His comment was that he wouldn't have left, he would have just waited for me til the appointed time. He was at my house a total of 45 minutes working away. When he was done he explained that he had polished the glass (which you couldn't even see through when he started), cleaned the air shutter and the other other elements, fixed some wiring that was getting bad and of course had repaired the ignition. The fireplace now runs quietly and I can see it! What an improvement and I felt the price was very fair for the services. I will definitely call them again when I need work done!

Prompt service. Rescheduled for me because I had a conflict, with no issues. My fireplace has never looked or worked so well in the 16 years I've owned my townhome!! Dylan did a fantastic job. Would definitely recommend!!

One year ago I had two gas fireplaces serviced which hadn't been done since they were installed in the house (2003). Both were having problems igniting and staying lit. Service went fine, but the gas flame in the living room fireplace would periodically go out. When I called the original service provider, can't remember the company, the technician gave me all kinds of reasons why it wasn't a switch problem. I was skeptical, so this year I called Daryl at A Safe Home. He was very pleasant over the phone and today, his son, Jacob, came to look at the fireplace. Jacob made sure I had no gas leaks and verified that the switch did indeed need to be replaced. He also tightened some other wiring. I then had him look at my other fireplace to make sure wiring wasn't faulty there. He noticed that I was missing a log (broke it when cleaning up the fireplace awhile back). I showed him the log and he fixed it to the best of his abilities with a screw. That was so nice of him, since getting just one replacement log is impossible. Would definitely use this business again. Really nice family business.

The technician arrived 30 minutes prior to the appointment without having called. This was an inconvenience which is very irritating. Everyone has phones. I know that he wouldn't be happy if he showed for an appointment and the person making the appointment showed 30 minutes late. Also, he needed our paper towels; he did not have his own. I guess in that 30 minute time-frame, he could've visited Target (5 minutes away) to buy some. For a job of $235, we don't feel we should be his supplier of necessary cleaning supplies.

This is the second time we needed the services of "a Safe Home Gas Fireplace Service, Inc." The first time was several years ago. This time we needed to have our fireplace thoroughly cleaned and we needed it repaired (the fireplace would not come on). It turned out that the igniter was not the problem but that the fireplace just needed a thorough cleaning. To be on the safe side, the technician, Jacob, replaced a couple of wire connectors as well as the wall switch. The fireplace is working perfectly now. All of this was done for the standard service charge of $145.00. Money well spent. This company has earned our trust and our future business.
