 + -1 moreHe was very qualified to perform this repair. He even checked our basement fireplace and did not recommend that we replace a faulty component if we were planning on upgrading the unit in the near future.
Description of Work: The technician arrived on time and performed a tune-up of our gas fireplace. The fireplace wasn't lighting and he found that the sensors were just dirty.

 + -1 moreDaryl arrived to my home early, was friendly, answered all of my questions, and completed the work quickly. I was very happy with Daryl and his work. I would hire him again.
Description of Work: I contacted Daryl to review two fireplaces in my home. There was a slight odor coming from the one on the main level and a strong gas type odor coming from the basement fireplace. Daryl found 2 small gas leaks coming from the main level fireplace which were fixable with the tightening of valves. The basement fireplace had the glass installed upside down so the intake was blocked completely and the exhaust was coming directly into our house. Daryl tested, fixed, cleaned, and certified both fireplaces.

Description of Work: The pilot light on my gas fireplace would not stay lit. Safe Home came out, found a bad thermal couple, and replaced it. They also cleaned the glass and made sure all was working properly.

 + -1 moreDaryl arrived early. He introduced himself before coming into the house. I had called him to show me how to work the fireplace and make sure it was safe to use. During his inspection he found that the old valve was loose but not leaking gas. He told me that he recommended we replace it (he didn't feel comfortable to leave it in that condition, even though it was not leaking). He replaced the valve, then took the time to explain everything to me, how to work the fireplace, and answer questions I had. It went well. Daryl was prompt, finished the job quickly, and overall did a great job. I now know how to use the fireplace correctly and feel safe doing it.
Description of Work: Daryl replaced the old valve with a new one.

 + -1 moreCourteous and friendly. Very easy to work with and easy to schedule. He even arrived a little early, which worked out well for both of us. Daryl took the time to answer my questions and demonstrated how to operate the fireplace safely, since we'd never used it before.
Description of Work: Our gas fireplace had been out of use and shut off for awhile, so I called Daryl to make sure everything was working properly before we started it up. He replaced a leaking valve, cleaned and lit the pilot, corrected the logs, and tested everything. $95 for regular cleaning and diagnostics and $135 to replace the valve.

Parts replacement and installation with warranty on parts and labor. Glass replacements in some, but not all, instances. Remote-control and blower installation in many, but not all, instances. Annual maintenance service available. We service all makes/models for residential homeowners, commercial property managers, realtors. Ask about our military and senior discounts.
We DO NOT work on wood-burning fireplaces, pellet units or chimneys. We do not run gas lines; a certified plumber is needed for that. We do not sell gas fireplace parts to individuals UNLESS it's part of our service call. We do not diagnosis problematic units over the phone for liability reasons alone. Unlike some competitors, we do not dabble in anything outside of the gas fireplace firebox, which is our specialty.
