Daryl arrived right on time, completed the fireplace servicing in about 20 minutes and was very professional and friendly the entire time.

I called to have my fireplace inspected. The owner quoted a fee over the phone ($115.00) that included the inspection and certification. He indicated on the phone that if he found something wrong with the fireplace, there would be additional charges (depending on what needed to be fixed). He arrived a little early (before 8:00 a.m.) and discovered that the fireplace had a bad thermocouple. He replaced the thermocouple for a reasonable fee (approximately $40), inspected and certified the fireplace within half an hour.

In just 30 minutes Daryl had installed the new thermocouple, cleaned and polished the glass face plate, and installed a blower so that we can blow some of that heated air into the room. Well done, Daryl! My wife and I give you an A+!

The Safe Home inspector arrived early! I had the first appointment for the day and he showed up 15 minutes early! He said he left early to make sure he arrived on time with traffic and traffic was lighter than he expected. It was a pleasant surprise. he introduced himself and was very friendly and professional. I asked him if he could replace the glass on the front of the fireplace, he told me he had cleaner to remove the carbon build up, saving me $300! I had assumed the glass was damaged from years of neglect by the previous owner. He finished the inspection in about 20-30 minutes, describing each item he was checking. Then before he left he advised me I only needed to have it inspected once every 2 years considering that it is a newer fireplace. Again, he gave me some money saving advice as I had assumed a yearly inspection was required. He also showed me how to remove the glass to clean it again if I wanted to do it myself and told me the brand of cleaner to pick up. What a rare experience, to be provided money saving advice from a service provider who could have picked up business from my ignorance. I highly recommend them as they aren't out to take your money but provide quality service and advice.

I called Daryl and he set an appointment which worked with my schedule. Daryl called me the day of the repair and let me know that he could meet me earlier than scheduled. He immediately diagnosed the problem, quoted me a price, and quickly repaired the problem. Daryl also added embers so the fire would look great and cleaned up after himself. The repair took less than forty minutes. I wish I would have called A Safe Home Gas Fireplace Service, Inc. when I first tried to get it fixed nine months ago. Thank you.

They did a great job servicing the fireplaces. They cleaned them so well they look like new. Great attention to detail.

The service was perfect, the result (not the fault of A Safe Home) was not... 20+ year-old fireplace was a safety hazard and needs replacing. Better not to kill someone I guess! I may not have known it if he hadn't found it.

I had used A Safe Home in January 2009 because the two-sided firelplace would go after being on for several minutes or would not light at all. Daryl installed a new transformer and that solved the problem. Since I had been pleased with last year's experience, I called A Safe Home again to deal with the new problem. I got a call back within less than and hour. It was about 10 days, however, before Daryl could come by. He was at our house promptly at 7 AM as promised. He fixed and cleaned both fireplaces in under an hour. I am very satisfied with the work done and will call A Safe Home next time I need work done on our fireplaces.

Seemed very professional, but could not solve problem we called about. (icy fireplace) and referred me to a company that never called me back. Also discovered he gave me misinformation about converting the fireplace back to wood burning. Price seemed very high and fireplaces were still a dirty--lots of debris was not removed.

I had called another company first (Fireplace and Grill Experts) and they never even asked me what the problem was. Just said that it would be 10 days before they could schedule a service call. Since I didn't want to wait 10 days, I checked Angie's list and saw the many good reports for A Safe Home. So I called them and Daryl returned my call promptly. I described the problem and he suggested that I check the batteries in the remote receiver first so that "you can save yourself a service call." It turns out that it was a simple battery problem. I will definitely call them if I have a problem in the future.

Saw the company on Angie's list. Call and left a message. Got a call back from Daryl shortly thereafter. Not able to schedule an appointment until 2 weeks later, but it was over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Daryl arrived earlier than scheduled, but called first. Quickly determined and fixed the problem (needed a new control box). He had the needed part in his truck. Took less than an hour. Very professional. Only negative is that I wasn't given any info. on possible costs before visit.

Daryl called back less than 30 minutes after I left a message, told me exactly what the price would be (and said it would only be higher if he had to replace a part), and scheduled a time for the following week. He showed up 5 minutes early, was very polite and thorough, did the work quickly and left no mess at all. He cleaned and checked all the parts, did safety tests, and replaced a faulty thermopile. He explained exactly how to work the fireplace efficiently (since this is the first time I've had one). He suggested that I could get a remote control, but when I said I didn't think I needed one, he didn't try to pressure me into buying it at all. All around, an excellent experience. I strongly recommend this company.

Daryl was great! I asked if they had a time first thing in the morning so that I wouldn't be too late to work and they set the appointment for 7:30! More incredible still, he was a few minutes early! He was very thorough but efficient, explained to me what the issues were and fixed them quickly. He made sure to leave no mess and before going he showed me how to best use the starter, logs, etc. The whole thing was done before 8:00 a.m. and my fireplace is in great working order! I will definitely call him again for any future service needs.

Daryl called back within several hours of my message. He gave me an appointment for 9 days after my call. He arrived about 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled appointment which was not a problem. He immediately began the work and finished in about 30 minutes. He used protective covers to keep the area clean and volunteered to clean the fireplace glass. He answered all my questions and was courteous and polite. He made sure that the unit was in safe working condition.

The technician arrived on time and was done in like 30 minutes. He said our unit was dirty, but that nothing was wrong with it. He also indicated that we should have it serviced every two years.

Even though it wasn't a real big job for them, they still treated it with importance. They made sure they made the scheduled appointment on time and they were very informative. They certainly showed that they are professional.

Great experience. Very friendly. I've never had a gas fireplace and Darryl explained how it worked and what needed to be done to keep it working. I'd definitely recommend the company and call him back next year for maintenance!
