 + 0 moreIt took about two weeks to get an appointment. When the day arrived, I got a call from the company asking if they could come earlier. After disassembling the unit they informed me that the valve was broken. They advised substituting a different model that was less expensive than the original part would have cost, quoted me a price, and finished the job quickly. The fireplace has worked quite well ever since, and the new fan is much quieter than the original. They cleaned the entire unit and showed me how to operate the new controls.
Description of Work: I called the company to effect what I thought would be a simple pilot light repair for my gas fireplace. It turned into a complete replacement of pretty much everything but the ceramic logs.

 + 0 moreThey were very fast and new exactly what test to perform in order to find the problem...the fireplace would not stay on. The only suggestion I would have is to have them take their shoes off at the door. They left grease marks on my white carpet.

 + -1 moreThey called and asked if they could start an hour earlier. Showed on time at new agreed time. Team performed routine maintenance on an old gas fireplace with a faulty pilot light. Repair went fairly quick. Cost of repair was in line with estimate given over the phone. I did have to clean up their mess afterwards (throw away some old parts), but overall was a pretty good experience.

They called back promptly to schedule the appointment, were early on the date of service, fixed the problem and actually improved the overall performance and appearance of my fireplace. And were out the door before 7:00 Am on a Thursday morning to allow me to get to work on time and not have to be miss any work. They were great!
Description of Work: My gas fireplace had stopped working - it would initially light up and then turn off immediately. They came and did an overall check of the system and adjusted the setting as well as cleaning the glass and repositioning the logs to actually look like a fireplace.

 + 0 moreOverall, from start to finish, they were kind and very professional. They were here only about a half hour.
Description of Work: They arrived ahead of on time, calling me first and finding out if it was okay to come a little earlier. I had no problem with that - in fact preferred it. They checked the logs, cleaned them and replaced them in a better way to enjoy more flame. They checked connections and found no gas leaks. They cleaned my glass doors and tidied up the whole fireplace in general. I was very pleased.

 + -1 moreThey arrived early and after initial look determined the issue. They replaced the igniter to determine if the control board was bad and determined it was and replaced it as well. They had all the parts needed with them and completed the repair in an 1 hour. Alos polished the glass and fireplace works great. They kept us informed of every step and were frendily and knowledgable. The only drawback was the extended wait time to get on their schedule (2 weeks) but worth the wait for the excellent service.

Description of Work: The remote switch for my gas fireplace was not working correctly. They diagnosed that it was a faulty switch. They replaced the switch and worked on the wiring. They cleaned the pilot, the burner unit and the inside of the glass panel. They also adjusted the log placement and added embers. They also tested for gas leaks.

Took a look at the pilot light - the pilot light needed to be cleaned - everything works fine now. It took them all of 15 - 20 minutes to fix the problem - thought the price was a bit high

 + 0 moreDaryl and his two sons did a great job cleaning and tuning up my ten year old gas fireplace. I would use his service again for sure.
Description of Work: I have a ten year old gas log fireplace that had never been cleaned or serviced. I also have a blower on the firplace that had started to whine and make a lot of noise after running for about 20 - 30 minutes, which was quite annoying. I called Daryl and he was able to make an appointment to clean and tune my fireplace during a time that was convenient for me. On the day of the appointment, Daryl and his two young sons who are apprenticing with their father, arrived early and got right to work. I had to convince Daryl that if he let the blower run for a while it would indeed start whining, but once he could hear the noise I was talking about he was able to address it by simply cleaning the mechanism up (it was very dusty in there!). He was also able to the the glass cover on the fireplace very clean so I can actually see and enjoy the beauty of the fire again - it looks like new!

 + -1 moreWent great. Gentelmen arrived, a father and two son operation. I expected to be told that they would need to order the part for my fireplace (as another company did before and flaked out), however the team opened my unit, cleaned it all out- to include the glass- proceeded to light the unit and it would not light at all. This was expected on my part. The team proceeded to inspect the unit and determined that a new valve would be needed to get the unit up and running. Daryl ran through all of my options and the prices of each option. He had all the needed parts to make the repair on the spot. He has a retro fit system that works with all gas fireplaces. They left within 2 hours and I had a sparkleing clean fireplace and glass. AWESOME WORK!!!

Fortunately for me, I was able to get same day service. The guys arrived prior to their appointment time and were finished within the hour. They even cleaned the glass doors. Their price and availability blew away the competition. I will definitely use these guys again.

He also advised us on the correct height of the pilot flame. He was early, friendly, and efficient. I will definitely call him again!

I told him what I needed and we made arrangements to meet at the house for the fireplace inspection. He arrived at the agreed time - in fact a few minutes early, which was helpful to me since I needed to go to work as soon as the inspection was complete. He performed the inspection promptly, made sure the fireplace was working and that I would be able to show the new owners how it worked. He provided me with the required certification document. I would use his services again if we need the fireplaces checked out at our new home.
Description of Work: I needed a gas burning fireplace inspected and needed someone to ensure that it was in good working condition. We are selling the house and needed to verify to the buyers that the fireplace was working properly and safely.

Parts replacement and installation with warranty on parts and labor. Glass replacements in some, but not all, instances. Remote-control and blower installation in many, but not all, instances. Annual maintenance service available. We service all makes/models for residential homeowners, commercial property managers, realtors. Ask about our military and senior discounts.
We DO NOT work on wood-burning fireplaces, pellet units or chimneys. We do not run gas lines; a certified plumber is needed for that. We do not sell gas fireplace parts to individuals UNLESS it's part of our service call. We do not diagnosis problematic units over the phone for liability reasons alone. Unlike some competitors, we do not dabble in anything outside of the gas fireplace firebox, which is our specialty.
