Tipping Hat came out to look at an issue with our mini split air conditioner, which was no longer cooling. The technician was knowledgeable and courteous (and masked, unlike other contractors we have recently had in). After looking into the problem he was able to correct it through a reset and some minor adjustments, but wasnâ t satisfied that heâ d exactly pinned down the cause. He walked me through his diagnostic thinking and showed me how to find and cool off the thermistor on the outdoor unit, which was incorrectly positioned in direct sunlight by the original installer and may have been overheating, causing a shutdown. But because he wasnâ t satisfied that heâ d pinned down the exact cause - and despite the fact that heâ d gotten my unit cooling again! - he refused to let me pay even the $29 trip charge. The business integrity of this just floored me. How often does a repair person display such an attitude? I am recommending Tipping Hat to neighbors and friends, and in reviews like this one, as a direct result. I will absolutely use them in the future. Very impressed.

When repairman arrived he proceeded to fix whatever he did without consulting me first and receiving approval for the charges or giving any kind of explaining what was completed and how he arrived with the charge amount. I am surprised that such a reputable business with so many great reviews would use such shady practices. I would like to have an explanation on: 1. Why were the charges not discussed with me ahead of starting work - is this a normal business practice for your business. 2. Explain the charges, what was done and how did you arrive at this amount.

Great company and provide great customer service

Great service. They fixed my furnace. Next steps are to determine the costs to fully repair my 23 year old furnace vs. purchasig a new one

They installed a new furnace, air conditioner and ceiling fan in one day. They had enough people, showed up, showed up on time and were well trained.

The were here early, wore a mask and booties and took precautions to avoid harming the hardwood floors. They also ran across town to get a part to have it installed the same day.

I will be using them again for additional projects that need to be done.

From the first call, through the install, their team is completely customer focused. When Sean came to offer a bid, he reviewed everything, tried something even to get our heater running, and was extremely professional and polite. Bob gave me a call to let me know when the team would be there. The team (Chappy, Roman and Nate) came out and were polite, respectful of the work area and never hesitated to answer any question or allow us to see what they were working on. They did a BEAUTIFUL job with the install and were very nice to boot! Sean's follow up is appreciated as well.

New thermostat is much more complicated than what we need. Difficult to get good information from mfg. Did not come with a manual.

I wish I could give them 6 Stars. Had a new HVAC system installed December, 2019. They initiated the first call sometime in March or April to get my AC up and running. They were great. Today, I had my entire HVAC tuned up and cleaned. Isaac Wakeham was INCRECIBLE. Not only was he professional, polite, and just a nice guy, he was willing to educate me and he was very patient. When I was confused on something, he called me to see if he could walk me through it. If I didn't understand, he offered to come right away and take care of the issue. He did such a great job walking me through it, he didn't need to come out. GOOD JOB!

What could have been a wonderful transaction was not. Multiple issues with the original install required another technician to resolve. He said he would need to order some parts to make everything work. Three canceled or missed appointments later, still no parts, and still everything not working. We are nearly to the first payment of our 60 months no financing, and we still do not have what we paid for.
