I was struggling with which product line to go with, internet research was not much help. After five estimates with four different brand lines, I decided to go with A to Z Heating and Cooling. The reasons are as follows: A to Z is a small business and provided me a more personal feel. Derek is the one who came out to provide the estimate. Not only is he a owner but he was also the installer, so he could answer all my questions. Derek has ties to my community. A to Z price matched and it was all inclusive. A to Z works with a company that provides financing and Derek got me the lower interest rate. Derek was the only person who pointed out the rooms in my home had a air return deficiency. He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need or want. He provided me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. He arrived when he said he would, did what he said he would do, either answered the phone or returned calls in a timely manner. Submitted all the necessary paperwork to the utility companies to get me my energy rebates. And since time was an issue, Derek worked me into his schedule before the end of the year. He also gave me the assurance that parts and service are available if and when needed. The product works awesome, it's quite and I'm seeing the savings in my billing statements. I highly recommend A to Z Heating and Cooling to all of Northern Colorado.

They did a very good job. I'm really happy with what they did. They explained everything. They gave me options. They said I didn't have to replace it right now, but it will cause a problem later down the road. They couldn't guarantee how long it would last. They were upfront and honest.

Three days ago, I found water all over the floor around the furnace and hot water heater in my basement. My realtor recommended A to Z and so I called them (turns out that she knew of the company when Paul owned it). I spoke with Anthony on the phone and was treated with respect and courtesy (as I woman, I appreciate someone who doesn't talk down to me, especially since it is clear I don't know about HVAC!). He reminded me to turn off the A/C and the water to the water heater. I had already done this but I am glad that he took the time to give me advice that could prevent any more leaks, water, or problems. He scheduled a time with me to come out on Sunday with no additional cost. On Sunday, Derek & Anthony arrived punctually and almost immediately diagnosed the problem - a dirty and cracked condensation pump. Unfortunately, they had just installed their last one and told me that they could come back Monday with the part. Monday they came back and quickly installed the pump. In addition to the quick diagnosis on Sunday, they also looked over the whole furnace and A/C and let me know some things to look out for (i.e. different air filters and where there was some rust on my heating unit). It was such a reaffirming experience to work with these guys who were very punctual and professional, and to see that there are companies out there doing good work, at reasonable prices, and with great customer service. Will definitely be calling them this fall to clean my furnace! :)

Our condo's air-conditioning unit was struggling to keep up with the extreme heat that Colorado had been experiencing; it just was not able to keep our unit cool, constantly running. Not knowing any particular company in the heating and cooling industry, my husband and I saw the company truck parked in our complex and we stopped to talk with the men working. Derek and Anthony (owners) were extremely friendly, willing to talk with us regarding our issue, and scheduled an appointment right htere in the parking lot for, that week. They actually had an opening to arrive early the day of our appointment, called us first to ask if it would work out to come to our property early, and they did just that. Derek and Anthony serviced our air-conditioning unit outside and inside, changed our filter, showed us the results, explained the results, and let us decide which options we would like to choose. I was very appreciative of the time they took explaining what they found (because I know nothing about a/c units) and not only explaining they did not just start expensive repairs. They discussed possiblities with us first, providing price estimates for each option/issue and resolution. We will not only be calling this duo back to work in our home, but we will definitely recommend them to others.
