Don't use them.
Description of Work: I'm a landlord for a property in Grand Junction. There was a leak in the irrigation system that I wanted to have them fix. The tenant waited 1.5 hours after they promised to show up and had to leave before discussing the problem. The service man called me and asked for a pre authorization to find the leak which would cost $350 which I agreed to. They didn't find the leak and didn't respond to a request to return to the property. I was ripped off.

I would tell others not to use them. I had a terrible experience with them. They had to cut a hole in my wall in order to get the plumbing through and I had to call them to come back and fix it, and I had to call them back to fix something else that they did that caused one of our circuits to go. It was bad! I was not happy when I had to call them to clean up the mud and to fix their problems. It took them four days to get back to us. I would not refer anyone to use their services and we will never use this company again in the future.
Description of Work: They replaced the main washer pipe and the main water pipe leaving our house.

They charged my husband $49 to do nothing. They walked into the garage and saw the flooding, said it was the hot water heater. They said they didn't have a hose to drain the flooding, which is ridiculous since they are plumbers. They gave an estimate of $1800 to replace the hot water heater. We declined their bid and went to Lowe's instead. We got it completed for half the price. We had used this company before in the past and the original owner was amazing. From what I understand, they have since sold the company and it is not the same. I would never recommend this company.

They looked at the work and provided a $1600.00 estimate for the the job. They did charge a fee to come out to look at the repairs needed. I then looked at Angie's list and found another plumbing company that had a higher rating. The second company gave an estimate that was about $1,000 less and performed the work for that amount. I saved $1,000 by not using Peterson.
Description of Work: This company was contacted based on a add in the phone book to provided an estimate to make some repairs. The repairs needed included main water shutoff valve, regulator, shower drain replacement, and work on a toilet.

From when they got here, they started in on trying to sell us a new boiler!! I knew we didn't need a new one, but they kept telling me that they only last about 20 years and our's is about 17 years old. The whole 5 1/2 hours he still kept trying to sell me a knew one, telling me that this one will start nickle and dimeing us. He also tried selling us a new water heater.....said if we get both they will waive the $49.00 fee. We didn't agree to buy a new boiler nor did we agree to buy a new water heater, so I think they tried to get as much out of us as they could. Something that should have cost us around $400.00 ended up costing us $1100.00. Quotes for new $9500.00 unreal!!
Description of Work: The boiler in our home was not working, and not allowing our home to have heat. Called Peterson's and made the appointment, and the day they was to show up they called to tell me they wouldn't make it on time. We was schelduled for 10 am to Noon, when they called they said it would be from 1 - 3 pm. Got another call letting me know that they hadn't forgotten about us, and they would be there as soon as they could. Once here, he told us that our expansion tank was fine and all it needed was to let some air out of the lines. Later was told that we needed a new expansion tank....which was $384.00. At this time my husband was not home, so I told him to go ahead and fix it. Later find out that the same expansion tank cost around $60.00 and should not take more than 30 minutes to replace. He also told me that we needed 2 new pressure valves, not knowing the price I didn't figure it to really cost that much. Once the work was completed one of the pressure valves cost $435.00 to replace and the other $275.00. We talked with another plumber and found out the cost to those 2 valves, the one costing us $435.00 was around a $70.00 part and the other that cost us $275.00 was around a $10.00 part. We will never use Peterson's again, we did call and talk with a manager about the prices of all three items that was replaced and got no response from them other than they hire good workers. They was here at our home for 5 1/2 hours on a job that shouldn't have taken more than a couple of hours, and way over charged us. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!

I have used this company in the past and have been very pleased with their work. The technician came out and said that I needed a new pressure valve. He said it was over 125PSI. I was quoted a price of over 500.00 for this work. That seemed a little high to me and I contacted a friend that recommended double diamond for a second opinion. They came out and quoted 150.00 for the same work. I went with them.

Here's a comparison of the costs with the Home Depot (Blue Ridge Plumbing) install estimate I just got: Cooller (MasterCool ADA50) Peterson - 2671.14, with 1/2 HP motor and fancy controller Blue Ridge - 700$, with 3/4 HP motor and no fancy controller. (a fancy controller is about $100 at home depot) Installation Peterson - 664.87 Blue Ridge - $750 (450 base install, +200 for custom roof jack, and +100 for electrical) Crane Fee Peterson - 500.00 Blue Ridge - 115.00 After doing my own research about the cooler unit, I also felt the sales person was duplicitous about the upgrade options. It turns out, there is a choice between an 8" and 12" cooler pad thickness. Peterson presented this as a decision between two completely different cooler units (with about $500 difference in cost). It really is a choice of which filter is installed in the same cooling unit, and could be made at any time (with about a $50 difference in cost). I view this as unprofessional. Difference in totals: Peterson - $3,836.01 Home Depot / Blue Ridge - $1,651.20

Had a huge crack in our garbage disposal. The guy gave us an estimate on 2 different disposals and installed the one we selected very quickly. He also fixed the water pressure in the bathroom sink at no extra charge since he did not use any parts. He asked if there was anything else he could look at before he left. Great service!
Description of Work: The guy came to our house about 30 minutes after I placed a call to the company. He wore shoes covers and went right to work on diagnosing the leak under our sink. After a few minutes, he discovered a crack in the garbage disposal and showed it to me. Gave me two options on replacing the disposal, because the crack was too big to be fixed. Estimated the time it would take to install a new one, and finished in about half the time.

Just don't call them. They guy kept telling me well i have to shut the water off, and I might have to replace the whole faucet at $360.00 dollars...
Description of Work: I called to have them to washers replaced in my outside faucets, 2 faucets, they guy came out and wanted 250.00 per faucet to replace a 10cent washer. Cost me 40bucks for the estimate becuase I wasn't going to pay $500.00 for a 20cent job. I got another plumber to do it for 60 bucks for both. This business is a rip off. Never use them

From start to finish, my experience was excellent. I would heartily recommend this company for any plumbing, heating or AC service and repair work. The technician caries little "booties" and puts them on over his shoes when entering the house. The customer service rep is also excellent when calling to make an appointment. Then she calls to let me know that the technician is on his way and will be there in less than a half hour. Nice touch.
Description of Work: Technician arrived on time for the annual check and servicing of our air conditioning unit. He thoroughly went over the unit and cleaned the condensers. The technician was also asked several questions about our furnace and water heater and answered them professionally. In previous years the company's technician labeled various parts of our system with yellow tags so we would know what to turn off and turn on in case of an emergency.

i called on a Monday morning to see when I could schedule the winter heating plant check, and expected to get an appointment several days away. I was given an appointment for later that same day - which would have been fantastic . . . but when another customer cancelled, Peterson's dispatch person called me and the service engineer was re-deployed and able to come straight away! The service engineer was polite, informative and very thorough. He took apart our forced air heating plant, showed me all the applicable parts and performed all the testing in methodical fashion. After determining the heating plant was operating nominally, he proceeded to clean the internal components and reassemble the unit. Upon inspecting the hot water heater, the service engineer noted that the overflow tank - required by code - atop the water heater was full of water permanently, indicating that the internal bladder had burst and the tank was no longer functioning properly. He gave me some options and pricing, and upon agreeing on a plan, he had all the parts he needed right on his truck and was done removing the old and installing the new in less than an hour. The entire work area was cleaned, and we were ready to get on with our day in record time.
Description of Work: My home is in Delta, Colorado, which is a service area handled by Peterson Plumbing and Heating, out of Grand Junction, Colorado. The service engineer Peterson has assigned for Delta is local and based right in Delta - which is extremely handy. I needed a winter service check on my heating system, as well as a check on my water heater. Peterson provided both. The heating plant [forced air] was tested and cleaned, and no problems were found. The hot water heater was checked for operation and the overflow tank [extends above the water heater] had a burst internal bladder and was permanently full of water and beginning to rust. It was replaced.
