We have had so much trouble getting simple estimates without the "hard sell" technique. Ron came to our house, on time, explained the product, left us an estimate, and departed, giving us time to discuss our options. While the estimator was at our home measuring the sliding glass door, we went ahead and requested pricing for replacing all of the windows in our home. We were SO impressed with the price, that we had new windows installed for the entire house. The house looks brand new! We were very happy with DAWN Windows product and staff.

Description of Work: Order placed in March, door delivered and installed in April.After installation, installer said that he needed a check to cover sales tax. I argued that there was no mention of sales tax excluded. in the ad. Owner decided to drop the sales tax. and reimbursed me for the tax and included an extra $25.00 to take my wife to lunch. About two weeks later I noticed that the plastic trim was separating from the wall. It was evident that there was not enough glue applied to the wall. A short time later, about a week, came out and fixed the problem. About a few weeks later we experienced difficulty with the lock mechanism. We had difficulty closing and opening the lock.. We placed a phone call and within a few days the installer came out and worked with the lock to free it up. He got it working again and informed us if we still had a problem he would install a new lock. the lock finally freed up and we had no longer the problem. I would have to rate DAWN WINDOWS AN A-PLUS for how they handled the problem and would recommend them to other people without hesitation. Chet Rdzak

We set up an appointment for Darryl and Vince to come measure the window, we discussed how I needed to move heat vent and electric outlet before they could do their work, then they showed up on time, prepared to install my glass door with the required scaffolding, etc. Very polite & professional. In retrospect, had I thought about how they framed the door, I might have asked if they could set it up so I could seel & paint the wood ahead of time.
Description of Work: Darryl & Vince removed my old window frame & window, & put in an Amerimax sliding door & frame.

+ -1 moreI was highly satisfied with DAWN Windows LLC. My first contact was with Christie, who promptly had the owner, Ron, call me to schedule an estimate. She also did follow-up after the job was completed. Ron and the installation team, Rick and Ken were all first-rate.. I believe that I got good value for my money. I used the 12 month zero interest option, which made it more affordable. Ron and Rick followed-up on my request to check local regulations that I thought could save me $300. It turned out that I was correct and Christie quickly issued a refund check for that amount since the loan was approved on the initial estimate. DAWN Windows was able to accommodate my requested installation dates and everything was completed on schedule. Rick and Ken were courteous, friendly, efficient and flexible. Rick easily problem-solved installation on a couple of windows where access was difficult. WHAT COULD HAVE MADE MY EXPERIENCE EVEN BETTER: Just a couple of small things-- Twice I did not receive expected phone calls from Rick. However, when I called him, he answered immediately and was able to satisfactorily answer my questions/confirm the schedule. Clean up was good overall, just a couple of scraps of sharp metal left in backyard where my dogs play and a cigarette butt here and there. I would definitely hire DAWN Windows again. My new windows are attractive and a huge improvement over what I had before.

Description of Work: Excellent experience. Estimate was absolutely fair and very competitive. Ron (owner), was honest, low key and not aggressive to 'upsell'. + -1 moreI would give an A+ to the installers for taking their time, doing a good job, cleaning up afterwards and generally making the replacement a pleasant experience. I would give the window company, Dawn, a C for not offering a thorough and professional job for the price, These may be good windows, but no way are they worth $1,000 per window without any exterior or interior trim finishing, which the offer states is the original price for the windows plus installation.
Description of Work: I purchased four vinyl windows to be installed as inserts as part of a deal for $500 per window. While the windows are nice and the installers were good, the company does not wrap the exterior window frame as part of the price, nor do they provide trim molding for the interior. All they do is pop out the old window and put in the new and caulk. I had other companies give me pricing on inserts for these four windows and they all came in under Dawn Windows original pricing, and they all wrapped the exterior and installed trim molding on the interior as part of the window install. I priced Pella and Marvin fiberglass and Anderson and they ALL wrapped the exterior. These are vinyl windows, and they cost more for less work. If this company's original price for this service is $1,000 per window, I would say shop around and you will definitely get a better price and a more professional install overall. The installers did wrap the exterior after I spoke to the owner and told him I would NEVER have ordered these windows if I knew what the install process entailed. All I can think is that because it was a half off deal, they cut corners and do less work for the cheaper price. In that case, it is not a $4,000 job for $2,000 as it was advertised. Oh, and by the way,from time to time Pella offers a $500 replacement of their fiberglass windows, but unfortumately I missed the offer. That is a much better deal.

Description of Work: Daryl and Vince were on time every day and installed 11 windows and a patio door for me. They took their time and made sure each opening was done correctly and cleaned up after each window and again at the end of the day. They were well into the door installation when I had a special request as to how to install the door. They never complained and completed the job to my liking. I would recommend them to anyone interested in new windows.

+ -1 moreThe entire process was easy and stress-free -- no problems. After my first call to Dawn, Ron came out within a couple of days to measure. Then Daryl and Vince came to do measurements, which they completed quickly and professionally. They contacted me as soon as the windows arrived, and the installation took 2 days to complete.
Description of Work: This fall I had 10 windows replaced by Dawn Windows, and I highly recommend them!. Ron came out to my home to write up an estimate, and what a nice change to not have to deal with a high-pressure salesman (which I had previously been through with another company). Daryl and Vince came to do the measurements, and they also did the installation about 6 weeks later when the windows arrived. They were very prompt, friendly, and professional. I really liked that they did both the measurements and installation. It's been about 6-weeks since the windows were installed, and I'm very happy with the Amerimax windows.

Installers were immaculate and did amazing work - we have had windows installed at our old house and there is a significant quality of workmanship here that I would recommend in a heart beat to anyone looking. We also had the exact same windows installed in our old house and the pricing for as many windows as we received was fantastic.

Rick and Ken installed our new windows and door. Dawn provided excellent service from the estimate through installation and cleanup. Rick and Ken were thoroughly professional in their dealings with us and demonstrated a wide breadth of knowledge and experience in completing the installation. Their finish work was excellent. We are highly satisfied with our new Amerimax windows and door. We have future window replacement needs and will definitely return to Dawn Windows. THE WINDOWS WERE CUSTOM AND WERE READY IN 3 WEEKS. ALSO THE WINDOWS ARE MADE IN LOVELAND, CO AND HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY SEE ABOVE FOR THE INSTALL.

+ -1 moreThis was a big deal that I purchased to replace an aging patio door. The estimator came our did the measurements and gave me options for my installation. About a month later the 2 installers came out on a Sunday and in about 2.5 hours I had a new door installed, the site cleaned up and everything looks great. My new door is solid, has a double locking mechanism and really keeps the weather out. I would definitely use Dawn Windows again if the need arises.

Description of Work: I purchased a discount deal. The slider would have cost less from Home Depot. Without the discount, the price would not have been worth the install. I think this company may have installed other windows in our home. If not, then the similar company struggled to install the windows "square." Several return trips. This new sliding door is also not square without the bumper stopper, but the house may never have been level or "square."

Only reason I didn't go with this company as another companies windows provided some additional options I wanted. I would definitely call again if i needed other services they provide!

+ -1 moreDee was a pleasure! She did all the pre-sell and contract work. She was very thorough; answered ALL our questions. She gave us us excellent advice on the window choices. Daryl & Vince were very friendly, interactive and lots of fun. They did not mind that I watched all day with amazement. They were careful, clean and did a fantastic job. It may not sound like fun getting all your house windows replaced, but I had a great time.
Description of Work: We replaced OLD, nasty steel frame house windows with really nice, clean, modern Amerimax Craftsman Protrait windows. We did 6 windows, two of which were large ones in the living room and dining room. Windows were with Argon gas and 270 glass; all white. We received a 40% discount

+ -1 moreIt was a pleasure doing business with Dawn Windows. Their salesman, TJ Nigel was pleasant, knowledable and professional. The estimate he gave me was the amount I paid. No hidden costs. The installers, Rick and Ken were extremely punctual, polite and efficient. They patiently answered all my questions. They cleaned up all debris. After they were done, I noticed a spot where the calking was missing. I called Rick and the next morning Ken was here repairing it. The windows look great! I would definitely use them again and highly reccommend them.

Ron did a great job of explaing the different types of windows and helped me decide what windows to get. Darrell and Vince did an excellent job of installing the windows. They arrived timely and kept the dust to a minimum and were very pleasant to work with. The windows look great and appear to be more energy efficient so far (will be able to tell more in the winter months). I would recommend Dawn Windows to anyone who is looking for new windows.

Out of the many window replacement companies listed on Angie's List, Dawn Windows stood out. At that time, I decided to forgo the project. Now four years later (2012), Dawn Windows is still one of the top window replacement companies on Angie's List. I decided this was the time to use their service and have my windows and patio door replaced. The comfortable manner in which Ron Gatewood and I negotiated the contract served to make this a very satisfying experience. The installers, Darryl and Vince, were efficient, organized, and on time. They were very professional in the way they went about their work. They took down and replaced mini-blinds and window treatments and cleaned up as they went from window to window. They were also amiable when answering a number of questions I had about the windows and the window replacement process. Dawn Windows' years of experience, commitment to customer service, installer's technical performance, and scheduling were all important to a successful, completed project. After the job was completed, the Amerimax windows look great!
