"Someone gave me a call Sunday after I made the Angi s request, said he could come over Monday to provide an estimate and check it out. I checked his Angi s page and it said he provided free estimates. When he got to the house, he came with another gentleman. After they looked at the work that needed to be done (door trim and base boards in part of a bedroom) they sprung onto me that I had to pay a $150 service free for the estimate. I pushed back and said that was pretty crazy and never disclosed upfront. He insisted that Angi s list was supposed to disclose this but also insisted that I pay. At that point, it was a 5 4 130 pound female versus two grown men, and I paid up via cash app. After sleeping on it a few nights I realized how wrong they were and reached out Thursday asking for a refund. He fought me on it and said he would get back to me but has since ignored all texts. I would have never had him come out and give an estimate had I known it would be $150. I would just like to have my $150 refunded back to me."

"I had water damage in my laundry room. My first quote was $1700. Added an additional almost $600 to move the washer and dryer out. Did I say it was a laundry room? Holes are still in the walls. Walls were not sanded to be even because that wasn’t in the Cransten agreement. To sand the areas of the walls would be another $1200. Paint is uneven. Scratches on the washer and dryer. Nicked the freshly painted walls bringing the washer and dryer back and didn’t touch that up. Re-connected the dryer and knocked the vent out so now I have to replace it. Grant it the vent was old, but it was attached and working before. Had to ask to add apiece of the baseboard. Again I was told, he was only going by the Cransten agreement. Don’t get me started on leaving the baseboards, paint (brush, etc.) and my shelves in the snow. So, I think that is why the baseboards are not flush to the wall. Maybe being a woman and asking someone to remodel my laundry was a bad idea. I could have done it myself."
