Brad is a great guy and very patient. We had a few bumps in the road but they were smoothed and explained. I will use Brad again and recommend him highly.

My PC quit overnight and would not startup - also my wife's MAC had some problems. i have 2 computers, 2 printers, and a TV all hooked together. I called Brad from his Angie's List listing and he gave me a couple of suggestions over the phone that did not help the PC. He came out the next day (on time) and did diagnostics on the PC, but could not identify the problem, so he took the unit back to the shop with him. He returned it the following day (stayed up until midnight putting a new video card in the unit), and it works like a charm. He also fixed the Mac problems as requested. He gave me options and prices on the extent of the repairs/changes available. A pleasant experience with someone who is an expert at his trade.

Great guy, smart, efficient and very honest. Kaatz showed up on time, he got what I needed right away, he gave me solid advice (I am not a total idiot about computer although I am not an expert so I can kinda tell when it's serious) and he performed what was need efficiently. Even though he spent more time than I expected (not his fault simply the length of the back up) he charged me a very decent flat rate and told me what to do next to improve my systems. I will definitely get back to him when I am ready for the next step. I highly recommend his services.

Everybody panics when their computer doesn't work, right? Me too. I found Brad Kaatz on Angie's List and gave him a call, which he returned promptly. All communication with him throughout this rather complex project (the "fix" wasn't a simple one) was thoroughly professional. He also went out of his way to find ways to save me money and put in many hours until he had solved it. The vast majority of the price for my job was to buy the new motherboard and CPU - yes, total meltdown! Brad is clearly knowledgeable about computers and the way they work, he's up to date on the latest software, and he knows how to find answers to those annoying questions, such as "Now where do you suppose I put that serial number?" I was impressed with his attention to detail and desire to do the job right... and I absolutely have him on speed dial for the next computer project. 5 stars.

Brad was on time, non stop working and helped me to understand any questions I had. He's like the neighborhood kid nextdoor that really know what he's doing!

After spending many frustrating hours trying to get my computer to work, I called Kaatz computers and talked to Brad. He was able to fix the problem remotely as well as do a little "fine tuning." He did this within 10 minutes of my phone call. I wanted to send him a check but he refused and just asked that I consult with him before renewing my security program. This took no more then 15 minutes. The problem was solved and my computer is much faster. I will definitely have Brad work on our computers as well as any home entertainment equipment issues we have. He was very pleasant and professional.

The price for saving the day-$0.00! Because it was such a simple fix, he didn't charge me a dime. If I ever have a "real" problem in the future, his phone will be ringing. Thanks Brad!

Absolutely no complaints, Excellent communications without condescension. Had answers for a wide arrange of questions from my MAC to my video applications. Knowledgeable, professional and not expensive for service.

Brad "took control" of my laptop electronically over the phone and worked for about an hour fixing my whole laptop.....eliminating old, worthless programs, and fixed problems that I was having with Flash, Java and I-Tunes. He worked fast and showed a lot of patience when he had some trouble fixing my I-Tunes, but he hung in there until all worked just fine. I will definately keep Brad's number for my next upgrade or fix.

Brad Kaatz and Layer Seven are a real find. I've worked with computers for years. I know when I need a professional to solve problems. Brad is the man! What I appreciate most Brad's prompt, friendly and reliable service. He now offers a mobile service. He came to my home out in the boondocks and saved me many hours of driving back and forth to a shop. He's knowledgeable about many aspects of computer and information services. It's great knowing he's out there and watching my back. Great service! As far as I'm concerned Brad is now my service department. Update October 2013: Brad continues to provide excellent personalized service. I recently dropped my laptop onto a very hard surface. I knew I'd have damage. Brad fixed every thing overnight at a modest cost. I've been taking my business to Brad for two years and remain delighted with his work. He's an interesting, literate, highly knowledgeable techie! I'm so glad I found him through Angie's list.

Some of the story is above. What I would add is that I found a reasonable, honest and fantastic Computer Genius. He went the extra mile in putting my computer together and acted like he loved doing it. I thought because He had to put everything back together that I was ready for a very high price but He said that He thought it would take longer to fix the virus. He didn't even charge me for all the time He took untangling and moving the big wall unit, and organizing everything before He even could turn on the computer! He fixed the virus fast and then very gently told me that I had outdated software, my monitor was broken and my computer was about to die.... I was in the market for a new computer and let me tell you- that was the icing on the cake with Brad. I bought a computer and monitor from him and he came out and installed it too- organizing again and helping me be more savvy. This company is over and beyond any other- going way beyond and over in service, price, and kindness! Thanks for allowing me to recommend such an outstanding Computer Company.

We called Brad on a Sunday and he called right back. He spent 15 minutes with us on the phone, diagnosed what was likely the problem, told us what part to get (power supply) and where to get it. We followed his (free) advice and it worked!! I will definitely use Brad for anything related to PC repair in the future and so should you.

It went great. Brad Kaatz came out to my house and installed the Linksys router with all necessary cables that he supplied. He configured the 4 computers in a home network. He was here for 4 hours and in the end even helped me hook up a new home stereo. Great guy to work with and I've had him over on several other occasions for several other things. I would highly recommend him.

Superior. I called Thursday. Brad picked up the computer on Friday at 9:00 am. I asked if he could finish by Saturday night. He said he'd try. He had it back at 11:00 (on the dot!) Saturday. All is well (for example, I'm using it now!). Brad has been in the computer world for 20 years. (He was practically present at the creation.) He can apparently do anything, and explain what he's doing to dummies like me! You don't need to shop further; you've found the right guy!

Brad showed up on time as was very professional and knowledgable. Unlike many others, Brad makes sure everything is done beyond your satsifaction. I have used other local computer repair services and Brad is far and above the others in both customer service and technical knowledge.

Arrive on time - had all 3 computer up and running correctly with in a very short time - at one time I came in the office to see this young man working all 3 computers like a Philharmonic conductor. He found and worked out issues I had no idea where a problem. He stayed for far longer than he had expected for the issues I had told him he would be looking into -- without complaint, and made arrangements with his next appointment so they would not be inconvenienced. Overall, he was very professional and I recommending him with great pleasure.

Brad returned our initial call quickly, met with us within a few days to determine our needs and kept the appointment promptly. He not only met our needs, but went above and beyond in anticipating issues/questions. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, helpful and reasonable. Brad took the hard drive with him and called us to tell us, what we needed to purchase. We gave him the okay and he obtained the parts. Some parts we had did not support the motherboard connector. He returned the computer in a couple of days and now it works great. Brad is honest and prompt.
