Homeowners in Northern Colorado have relied on Westers Roofing to provide with them with an array of superior roofing solutions for the past 20 years. Our goal is to provide customers with quality that can be trusted and a relationship that continues beyond the completion of your roof. John Westers started out as a roofer before becoming a contractor, adding to his full understanding of the importance of having a roof done right. Brooks Gordon is the operations and sales manager and Liz Westers is the office manager. Local, small and thorough! We look forward to working with you.

They did not do the work.
Description of Work: Contacted Western Roofing via their website on a skylight and roof repair. I received message from Brooks within a couple of days (March 20 2017). We messaged back and forth to arrange a time to look at the house and then I never heard back from him. Apparently they are not interested in repairs--just full replacement--but it would have been nice to know. In the meantime I found an excellent contractor to make the repairs--but not Western Roofing.

They never showed up
Description of Work: Purchased a deal directly from Angies list for a Roof Maintenance Deal. Westers never showed up or responded to my e-mails or calls. I did find out they were notified by AL regards the purchased package, but still never responded. I would not use this contractor.

Description of Work: John Westers was a pleasure to work with. The job was done on schedule and completed quickly. It was done in a professional way and the place was left neat and clean. They have replaced two hail damaged roofs for me. I would use them again if I need a new roof.

Description of Work: Replaced an attic fan and housing to stop a serious leak causing interior damage to room below. A few glitches in which I had some culpability, but John, Brooks and the "front desk" voice on the phone, were very responsive, courteous and helpful. I am satisfied with the end result and trust it will not leak during the monsoon season yet to come.

Description of Work: Basic roof inspection. The gentleman who inspected was thorough, honest, and quick. He didn't have to do much, as the roof was in good shape, but he gave me recommendations for how the life of the roof could be extended and was clear about how I could maintain it effectively.

Description of Work: After gathering several interviews & quotes, we selected Westers Roofing and we certainly made the right choice! They replaced our entire roof - very high & complex - with 50 year Malarky shingles, in 2 and a half days. John Westers and his crew were efficient, courteous, and meticulous in every way. We were especially impressed with the neat clean-up and the care taken with our landscaping & new deck. We were concerned about the removal of the old roof since it was composed of concrete tile which could have done damage - but not so much as a twig was broken. Highest marks and gratitude for a job well done!

I apologize for not returning a voicemail, I however had lost access to a lot of voicemail and when I finally heard the message I called immediately and apologized. He was still mad at me, I don't know what I can do as I use the visual voicemail and it was broken, I would have had to sift through hundreds of voicemails just to hear it, which I did and found it finally. And if you know me, I am in business to answer my phones and do roofs, any customer should know that we don't "avoid" phone calls. simple thing if you leave a message and don't hear back, maybe call the person back because they didn't get the message. I choose to call him because of the good recommendation on he had on Angie's list. I have not had him out to do the estimate although he has said he would be out many times.

I feel that this is unfair. I received a call from member while the weather was cold, it was into December. I asked her if it was okay, as the house was out of town, to stop by at a convenient time on my way to the cabin. "No problem, anytime is okay" was her response. I then didn't go to the cabin for a couple of weeks and tried to reach her. She DOES NOT HAVE VOICEMAIL. I tried multiple times to reach her w/ no luck. I finally reached her and explained I would be going to the cabin and would like to stop by. I went to the cabin, but it was evening and dark out. Called her that night, no answer, called agan a day or 2 later to explain I didn't leave town until near dark, and she said no problem. I then made a special trip the following couple of days and looked at the roof. She had told me that it was a geodesic home, which I was unsure of the complication it may entail. When I looked at it they were not home, so I called and reached member and explained that I would not be interested in doing this job due to location and complication of the style of roof. She did point out that I knew it was that style, but for me I wanted to keep an open mind until looking at. I didn't want to give a bid as it would have been exagerated...I think I did everything she asked and it wasn't timely due to location and she was in "NO HURRY". Sorry, but in the future, we do what the customer requests. No Hurry means No hurry etc.. Winter time, wind, and location are the issue.

I was referred to Westers Roofing by the real estate agent who sold us our home. Our 17-year-old roof is cedar and had had some work prior to our moving in; I had noticed some shingle damage and wanted some idea of how much life was left. Westers himself showed up right on time and did a thorough inspection, even pointing out that the vent pipe for the radon venting system had fallen down. I noted that his truck was clean and in good repair and that he was also neatly dressed. He gave me what I thought was straight information, that the roof was still basically sound but that it would likely require replacement within 1 to 3 years because even cedar shingles do sustain damage. He said that if it was his roof, he wouldn't spend any money on it and that's what we elected to do -- not spend any money right now. I asked for a ballpark estimate on replacement, and the number he gave me was in line with what some of my neighbors had paid for replacing roofs of similar size. Bottom line -- the guy is trustworthy, he inspires confidence in his competence and there was nothing about the interaction that would dissuade me from contacting his company when the roof needs to be replaced.

John responded quickly to my request for an estimate, got his repair guy over to the house next day and finished the job that day, despite having to locate and purchase matching shingles. I was pleased with their service and satisfied with the quality of hte work.

Wester's Roofing was professional from beginning to end. When contacted for a quote, John responded immediately. While I was waiting for the claims process through my insurance company, John followed up and continued to show interest in performing the work. Even though we had other roofing companies come for a quote, John made us the most comfortable. When it came time to do the work, John's price was extremely reasonable and he was flexible to utilize the high-impact shingles we requested. His crew was fast, professional and clean. They were able to finish the work in a little over a day and the roof passed the county inspection with no issus. I would highly reccommend Wester's Roofing!
Description of Work: Replaced one side of duplex roof, including replacing / repairing flashing around vents and chimney. Shingles used were impact resistant.

Our roof was leaking. We called Westers on Friday. On Monday John came by to look at the roof. Said everything looked fine except for a hole in the flashing that he repaired. Another company gave us an estimate of $460 to repair without even coming out to look at the roof.

John showed us all options and explained everything. His crew showed up on schedule and the work was done just when he said and with excellent quality. He noticed that our skylights needed replacement and installed new ones that I picked up with no labor charge. He is a true professional and we have recommended him to several others. His price is competitive. He is licensed and insured.
