Description of Work: Craig hung two fans, including reinforcing bars, a circular shower bar, finished some fireplace trim, capped a ceiling opening where a light had been removed and removed and replaced a bathroom vent motor after cleaning. He also shortened and rehung a patio door curtain rod. It was a powerful feeling to look around at what needed to be done, make a list and actually see it accomplished! Craig arrived on time, worked steadily for eight hours and offered solutions for a couple of problems that may be easier to resolve than we previously thought. He was cheerful and had a "can-do" attitude. We definitely will call him again.

Description of Work: Craig repaired two square holes in our ceiling in the basement one 1.5'x1.5' and the other approx 1'x1', plus an additional hole in the laundry room where the door handle went through the wall. | |Overall Craig does great quality work. His drywall repair work, texturing & painting was top notch. He took a lot of time making sure the repair work blended into the finished product, so you couldn't tell there was once a hole in that location. My concern is more so with the state he left our house upon finishing the job as he we had paint and spackle splatter on our tile & hardwood floor, on our belongings and on our carpet. It was also very hard to connect with him to schedule an appointment both through either email on the Angie's List website and his cell phone and then when we did make an appointment he showed up late. | |I left pricing as NA as I think the Angie's List promotion was very confusing, which Craig said was written for him by Angie's List. I ended up owing him more money than I had anticipated, but also faulted myself for not clarifying from the moment he walked in the door on how the deal worked and how he valued the work I needed done against the deal. | |I also asked Craig to quote some additional work in our home due to his high level of craftsmanship and I have not received a bid yet. As of today, Feb. 3rd it's been over three weeks since the original service was performed and the bid was requested for additional work.

Description of Work: Odd jobs. Not very responsive, early on, but once he was on site, he was very professional and did excellent work.

Description of Work: We had Craig come by to give us an estimate to replace our deck. He was here on June 16. Nice guy, photos of his finishing work are great but we've not received an estimate as yet for the deck. He did say it was going to take him at least a week. He let us know he was running late for our appointment because of traffic, which I thought was considerate. I checked no services provided because we are still waiting for the estimate from him and one other Angie's list person we saw a week before Craig. I didn't like having to do an overall rating, it's hard to do when you've only talked with someone one time and hardly seems fair. I would give him an "A" for being a really nice guy and considerate of our time, but gave him a "B" because it's been 3 weeks since he was here and we haven't heard from him, I understand this is the busiest time of year for them but a hey, haven't forgotten you, working on it message would be nice. And, we are looking at replacing some interior railings, his work looks amazing so if we don't use him for our deck we will likely be contacting him about estimating some interior work in the future.

Description of Work: Solid Rock does excellent, dependable work. My concern is that the price went way over what I was anticipating and the work took longer than stated. |The owner needs to estimate better his costs and work time. I am extremely satisfied with the work he did on my beautiful kitchen.
