My dryer was squeaking so I called to have them fix it. The part cost $20 but the charge to come look at it was and 59.99 and the labor for 15 minutes worth of work was $100. I thought that was a bit steep. I will definately look into using someone else in the future. The repair man was nice but like I said very expensive for what had to be done.
Description of Work: Changed a pulley wheel in my electric dryer.

Your tech did discount the job as that repair runs 205.70 in the National Appliance Price Guide. He was on that job for a total of 40 minn (plus the travel time)and that was why he applied the discount. I understand your feelings on the pricing and believe me if we could get good quality people with out having to pay them and not have overhead of running a business we would not have to charge as much. Trust me,, I understand what your saying as I deal with the same issues with ownership. I can say we do have a 1 year parts and labor warranty that covers your repair and that is added on at no extra charge. (my competitors charge the same or more with 30 day warranty) The cost of doing business is high and you have to make a profit to pay your taxes. There are a lot of hidden cost in having a qualified repairman show up on time. It takes money. Please let me know what your thoughts are. chuck Lavelle owner

Our refrigerator was making a very loud noise every time the compressor turned on. We were very concerned that it would stop working and that to replace a compressor would be quite costly. Happily, it turned out to be a bracket vibrating and the compressor would not need to be replaced. He also called and relayed that he was running early and asked if I wanted him to come early or keep our appointment time. Of course, I agreed that he come early. He was polite and professional and even brought shoe covers! How thoughtful :-) Would use again but hope not to!!

The repair person came on time as promised. He carefully explained what was wrong and what it would cost to fix it. What impressed us most is that he recommended fixing it and said it was a good dryer and would be more reliable than replacing it with a newer one. We were very happy with his work. In addition, he inspected our vent pipes and confirmed that they were in good condition and were designed well.

very quickly/competently removed crud [cherry pits, bit of plastic, chips of dishes] from deep within Kenmore dishwasher to get it working again. Probably 15 minutes of actual work time..... [time is not that important, its knowing what to do and where to do it!!]

John found the problem with our washing machine and had it running quietly (better than new because he added some bolts) in a short time. He worked very hard to locate the leak in our dishwasher and persevered until he found it. He was always punctual, professional , pleasant and dedicated to getting the job done right. my husband thought he could fix our dishwasher himself, but sought advice on this. spoke with a repairman who's first question was: is it a Bosch?? it's a maytag, and the repairman gave him advice to just get a new one in words he would understand. They called back the next day, just to ask what was going on, and the owner also emailed me, with the encouragement to call with any other questions. there was NO pressure to use them, or get MORE advice! very professional and courteous! the communication was then over, they did not call us again. they were # 1 on Angie's list with lots of users.
Description of Work: Jeremy called my husband, and they discussed repairing vs buying new; Jeremy called back the next day to check on us; the owner, Chuck, emailed me and gave me the names and #'s of his staff for help.

Technician made several visits and was very thorough, diligent and personable. A replacement part needed to be ordered and the order chief put it right in. One further trip was necessary afterwards to install one more part.
Description of Work: Whirlpool washer only 2 years old quit spinning. Technician worked with manufacturer and determined that control board and actuator needed replacement. They got out of whack from being on carpet for 2 years.

This is a story of a good business, with a bad experience, followed up by an impressive recovery. To be honest, when we received the original service for a broken clothes washer, we were let down by one individual in the business and felt let down in a big way. We were forgotten twice on a part being ordered, and then ignored by this person for another week until I personally came into their office for the needed part. I actually harbored resentment over this experience for quite a while... until one day. I had the opportunity to meet the owner of Quick recently, and took the opportunity to clear the air about what had happened. After listening intently, he voiced how he had read my original review and had agonized over how this had happened, and had since found out what this individual had done, and had immediately taken care of it. To add to this, he also genuinely asked us to give him another chance to show what this company really stands for. Being a local business owner myself, I absolutely empathized with how something like this can be haunting, especially if we really care about how we treat our clientele. It was obvious Mr. Lavelle cared, which makes a world of difference. Since then, I have heard nothing but good things about how this business is handled, and because of how the owner treated me after such an awful experience, I am more than willing to give them a chance. Thank you, for hearing my concern, and instead of sweeping me under the rug, you validated my concern, and overcame the obstacles.
Description of Work: We had a washing machine leaking all over our laundry room floor. A technician came to our home and diagnised our issue correctly and effieciently but unfortunately didnt have the part we needed. He told us he would have the part ordered, this being a thursday, and it would be in late the next day. He also was kind enough to show me how to install it myself.

This complaint is puzzling on many accounts. None of the Information for [member name removed] is in our system neither have we ever been to that street address. And he says the work was done over a year ago. I am seeing a pattern with some complaints filed where they are saying work was done over a year ago and using address and names that are not in our system, proof that we were never even there. I have two complaints on the internet and both complaints are false top to bottom. This I have to say falls in the same category. At first I was annoyed that the company called me back to reschedule the service appointment. BUT, I quickly realized that they were rescheduling so that when their tech came out to our house, he would have access to the GE service reps in case he needed to call in for further information. Evidently GE wouldn't be available after 4pm mountain time, so Quick Appliance didn't want to have their tech come to my house after that time. The tech arrived on time and was very professional. Although I had mentally prepared for needing to purchase a new refrigerator, he was able to just replace a circuit board and we were back in business with a cool fridge and frozen freezer! I would definitely use Quick Appliance again.
Description of Work: Replaced a command module board (?) on our refrigerator. Or something like that. Can't remember the exact name of the board.

We have had a couple of issues on the GE pro line of fridges just getting the right part and part numbers to make the needed repair. Just last week we had the same model number and could not locate the PCB to make the repair in a timely manner. They tried to repair the refrigerator three different times. Every time they identified a different issue but it was never fixed. After that I decided to get a new one. If they could not identify the problem they should have told me that. Communication skills were good when you call them. I got charged twice with them and ended up refunding me.

We completed a simple repair in Nov of 2012. Customer had a drain line that had iced up. A common problem on middle aged cross top refrigerators that require removing any ice build up and adding on a heat sink that carries the heat down the drain line so no more ice can build up. We do a lot of these jobs and one trip in most cases takes care of it. I have only seen one other case in 20 yrs that the heat sink did not stay in place. That is what happened with this customers fridge. We had to return two other times to re-apply the heat sink only to have it fail. To this day I do not have a sound explanation as to why the heat sink repair failed. For the record it was always the same issue and it was always covered by our 1 year parts and labor warranty so the customer did not have any extra charges or fees. We never told the customer it was a different issues each time, and if it was we would have been able to charge them for the additional repairs. But it was the same issue and covered by our warranty. After the 3rd try it was decided that the customer should replace the unit base on this on going issue and the age of the unit. We worked with the customer over a 4 month time frame to get the heat sink/icing issue to resolution but could not. I am very confident that we gave it the "above and beyond" effort and not being able to 'save' every appliance is just part of the business. But at no time was our customer over charged OR misinformed as to what was going on and the cause of the issues. I am very proud of our technicians and again they stuck with the customer to try to help find a solutions with out thinking only of what money they are going to make on the job. they are great guys ! We had an annoying, intolerable squeaking noise coming from our dryer. I called and the appointment was scheduled in a timely manner. They even scheduled it on a Saturday to accommodate our work schedules without charging more. They asked for and I provided the model number of the dryer so they could have an idea of parts that may be needed. We live out in the country so I thought this was efficient on their part. The technician, Jayson, was professional, personable, and knowledgeable about what the problem was. He took the time to explain the issue and showed us the replacement part that was being put in and that he had in his work van on that day so he didn't have to drive out again on a separate day and charge us more. Instead of just replacing one bearing, he did the entire kit to avoid having the others go bad in the near future. It did not take a long time to have fixed. Excellent customer service. They get the job done and get it done right!
Description of Work: We had a loud squeaking noise in our dryer and we had to have a new bearing replaced in the back of the dryer that was causing it.

We have a fairly new GE Washing machine. When I called to explain a problem with it, they sent a tech over who stated that he had never worked with a GE washing machine and needed to call the GE tech line to walk him through the repair. He then left and said he would call me back shortly with an estimate on cost and time he would be back. At the end of the day (over 4 hours later), I received a call back from him that the GE tech couldn't help him because he had written down the wrong Model #. I understand that people make mistakes, but to take the entire day to get back with me about this was not acceptable. I had to call back the next day to see what the status was. I finally received a call back 2 days later that he was able to get 2 parts, but still not sure if that would fix it? I told him not to bother, as the cost he was quoting me was going upwards of $500. Why would I pay someone who admittedly is not familiar with GE machines and pay him to get his experience with this? I asked him and his response was that and quot;I am just too da** honestand quot;! After that I had to tell him goodbye. I was completely appalled that he would start cursing at a customer who is trying to get some questions answered. I will not be working with this company and would not recommend them to anyone. I never write bad reviews, but I just couldn't believe the lack of customer service on this and wanted to share.

There are couple different issues I would like to address. First one being product knowledge, for any technician there will be about a 1-2% call rate of running into something that he/we have net seen before. That is just part of any service business. But we have polices in place to handle those. Most of them get handled before we even come to the house and when they can't be predia'd then the technician handles the call the best they can drawing on all the training and vast experiences they have had and the office mgr backs him up with what he is finding in the field. 99% of the time this comes off with out a hitch and the unit is repaired and carries our 1 year warranty on parts and workmanship. In this case the tech, having an off day did not put his best foot forward and made remarks that would make you feel that he/we are not qualified to make the repair. Which of course is just not true. Every thing the technician said and did on this call was not handled in a manner that reflects our care and professionalism that we give to all our customers. I can only tell you the manner in which this call was handled has cost the technician his job and after 15 + years no longer works here. We are always working with our customer and staff to achieve the highest level of workmanship, product knowledge and professionalism and this one was tough as it cost an employee his job, but, it was by his own hand. After 25 years this is the first time I have had to let an employee go under this type of circumstances. We always strive for a win/win with our customers in this case there are no winners. Fantastic job. Very thorough and professional. Great customer service - Due to a business conflict, I was 40 minutes late meeting the technician at my home. I called to let them know I was running late and expected I would have to reschedule the appointment. When I pulled up to my house, there he was waiting. Made call. The receptionist was efficient and scheduled a service call. Everything else happened as it should. We are now waiting for the followup appointment for parts to be installed. I am confident that the dishwasher's problem has been diagnosed properly - there is a need for a new heating element and a new door seal.

The dishwasher stopped working some time before we finally called. We were nervous about service costs and tried to diagnose ourselves, but after failing at that, I finally called and discussed the service options. The very helpful woman I spoke to suggested that we would save money bringing the dishwasher in instead of having someone come to service it, since we live outside Fort Collins (west of the reservoir). I hadn't realized bringing the dishwasher to them was an option, so that was helpful. It wasn't the cheapest repair, but it seemed worth it for a good quality dishwasher that we loved before it stopped working. And it seemed like a good bet from a company that has a reputation for doing good work. We have been VERY satisfied with the results in the 2 months since. Not only did they fix the problem itself (simply not turning on), but the dishwasher got quieter after the repair, which I suspect might be due to inspecting and perhaps incidentally cleaning/tightening all of its mechanical parts in the process of diagnosing the problem. This was great service and by personable, helpful people. We will definitely use them again for any appliance repair needs. I notice they also mention on their web site that they support DIY repairs, and quot;take calls to counsel customers on purchasing the proper parts, trouble-shooting or just to talk through a process you may feel is 'over your head.'and quot; I love that they offer this support up front. We might very well be using those services in the future as well.
Description of Work: Fixed our approximately 5 year old Kenmore dishwasher at their premises after it stopped showing lights and signs of power. Diagnosed the problem as a bad control panel. Replaced the control panel, which fixed the problem completely.

The service technician arrived on time and took a look at my dryer which was no longer producing any heat. Within just a few minutes he was able to identify the heating element had broken and needed to be replaced. He had the part with him and was able to quickly replace it and was gone within 45 minutes of arrival. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone who needs quick and well executed service to any of their large appliances.

They were here when they said they would be, called to let me know how much costs would be and why, were courteous and helpful with questions.
Description of Work: Replaced ignitor on gas stove and magnetron on microwave. Both high end appliances. Repair required two men to get the microwave out, hence some of the expense. The magnetron was still on warranty, but the labor was not.

They were courteous and thorough. They were responsive and did a great job. I haven't had any problems.
Description of Work: Sears said they would charge at least $75.00 just to come out. The repair department said because it was a spinning problem it would be at least $275.00 but if I choose the offer they had it would be no more than $300.00 and they would absorb anything over the $300.00. Quick Appliance came right away and repaired the problem in five minutes. There was no service fee and the repair was only $70.00.
