Response from Quick Appliance Repair Service
We were called out to repair a broken spray arm in Nov of 2012, we completed that repair quickly with no other issues reported. Three months later in Feb of 2013 we were called out with a complaint that the DW was leaking. We found nothing obviously wrong with the dw that would be causing a leak out the front door, ie: a part failure. After consulting with the Service Manager and with Frigidaire Tech line we went with a splash guard kit as some of the Frigidaire Plastic Tub DWs can start leaking without anything failing on the unit. Dan worked closely with {Member name removed} to explain what and why he was adding on spash guards and seals trying to correct the leak issue. On his 2nd stop his plan was to install an additional seal to see if that would stop the small leak that would show up at the end of the cycle. After the 2nd trip out {Member name removed} wanted to cancel the call. Looking over the Billing the technician Dan never charged any labor in trying to correct the leak, he only charged one diagnostic fee in Feb and only charged for the 2 parts that were installed. We've always warrantied everything we do with a 1 year parts and labor warranty and stay committed to solving our customers’ appliance issues in a fair and timely manner. Looking over the history on {Member name removed} Dishwasher I can see no fault of Dan's approach to the customer’s leaking issue. Had we been able to see the job through, we would have been able to finish the job. And based on the fact that no labor was ever charged, you can see that our motive of solving the issue was not simply to get as much money as we could. We back up what we do with the correct billing and actions and follow ups. Chuck Lavelle Owner.
